Big Bird met me at the ferry landing and we went out to the cabin. He got right to work and figured out what the problem was , after a little digging. He also cleaned everything up before jumping back on the ferry .

Big Bird Plumbing did a great job. Even though we had stopped the water leak ourselves, Big Bird checked all the connections and quickly discovered a problem that allowed us to avoid a future water leak problem. His fee was reasonable, he knew his business, he was pleasant to work with and arrived as scheduled.

Cal Reese and his son, Jason, provided a service call on 8/13/13 after I contacted them because I had no hot water, only warm water from the taps.  It was determined that my current hot water heater either needed to be repaired or replaced.  They promised to arrive around 9 AM on the 14th.
Jason arrived on time and started draining the tank in order to determine whether it was going to be a repair or a replacement. When Cal arrived, they discussed possible repairs and determined that the heater needed to be replaced.  (The hot water heater had been in use since 1997.)  
All of the work took approximately 4 hours.  They removed all of the garbage, the old tank, and cleaned up the area.  They put my garden hose back on its rack and even watered my tomato plant.  
I had used Big Bird Plumbing twice in 2012:  they installed a toilet seat bidet which required the placement of a GFI outlet and then came back a couple of months later to install a permanent toilet riser.  They removed their shoes inside my home, at my request, and cleaned up all of the debris and packaging.
I feel very comfortable recommending Big Bird Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

He was there about an hour and a half and the cost was not very much. He was very thoughtful, funny and a nice guy.  He is not pushy. He does what you ask him to do. If he has a better idea he asks you before he does it. He gives discount to elderly people. I was deadly sick when he came out and he brought back some soup his wife had made and it was the best soup ever. He is honest and true. Everybody likes Cal.

They came when they said they would. On another visit, he called to let me know he would be a little delayed. They were very clean and cleaned up after themselves. They accommodated my home by not wearing shoes in the home. I was very pleased and felt comfortable having them in my home. They took away all old materials garbage with them.
