I got them off Angie's list.They were great. He said the people that put up your house didn't even clean the junk out of your air vents. He said I can't believe the company would leave that. He looked at the other vent and the kitchen and living room were the only ones with building materials. They cleaned it out really good. I haven't even thought about it again.

They were great. I guess the cleanup must have been pretty good. The price was good. Quality was an A.

I had renters in house in front of me who threw garbage off their deck, had large dogs...never cleaned up messes, garbage and junk littered the yard, etc. 
I started having rat problems and when the pest control rep. came out and went under the house and attic, he said I  needed to have both areas cleaned out because of all the rodent feces, etc. there. I had one estimate done but wanted another one so I
checked Angie's list for companys that cleaned out crawl spaces and attics.  I read all the ratings and comments of people having hired these companies and chose Miguel's company, STANDARD INSULATION AND REMOVAL , INC. because of the comments made by people who had hired him.
I called him right away and he came out early the next morning and gave me 2 estimates...one for the crawl space and one for the attic as I requested.  (I showed him  the first estimate and asked for an estimate for the same work)  I blanked out the name of the first company.  He gave me the estimates and explained that he used products that were as good or better and explained the procedure for removal and installation.  He answered any and all questions I had...I tend to ask lots of questions.  (His estimate was about $2000 cheaper than the first estimate)
Miguel and his co-worker were out every morniing by 8am and worked all day until about 5pm.  They worked  long and hard in miserable cold, wet weather. 
I can't say enough about the work ethic and professionalism of Miguel and will recommend his company to anyone who asks for a recommendation. 
My house was built in 1979 so the insulation rating was only R-15.  The drastic increase in the insulation should make a big difference this summer...if and when it gets hot... and of course the heat bill should show some difference too.

I received a bid very quickly after contacting Standard Insulation.  The work was done efficiently and on time.  There was no cleanup left for me to do afterwards.  I felt the business owner was fair and honest with me. 

It went very well, Dennis, the main employee did an excellent job. Miguel, the owner, spent time talking with me about my job and answered my questions. He explained how his company laid down the vapor barrier and the reasons for sealing the seams. Standard's bid was competitive with another larger company, but I felt Miguel knew his stuff and also said he would check for possible rodent entries. I liked that even though I knew I didn't have any. The two showed up on Friday and blew in the insulation in the attic. Dennis showed up the next day at 8 am and worked 12 hours straight. He also tacked up a loose pipe and sealed a hole. Overall, I am very pleased with what I saw.

Great. They did a very nice job accurately cutting the plastic sheeting around posts, corners etc. They used adhesive on the seams between sheets to create one continuous vapor barrier that is less likely to get "kicked up" when walked on.

Great! Miguel is timely on arriving to appts, has time to listen to requirements, keeps in good communication, and work is very well done. His employees were courteous and all work was done as good, or better than I expected, left the place clean. I had a difficult insulation job in some rake ceiling areas that required rigid foam, which is tedious to install correctly, they did a great job. Went above and beyond, even touched up some other areas of the house where walls were open & insulation was needed, did not charge extra. A pleasure to do business with. I considered doing this job myself, but it was well worth the money spent to have it done much faster than I could have done.
