Radai Cortes

We were able to pick out our own colors from any store (we tend to prefer the wider selection of colors at Home Depot) and state beforehand what finish we wanted. Mr. Cortes clarified several times to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted to get done before he got started on the job. He got back with us about a quote within a day, and the price was so reasonable we did not have to negotiate. A different painter had quoted us 800 for the hallway alone! We knew he had a lot of experience and knowledge, because he recognized that the texture on the wall was from the 1980's and he explained that we would not be able to replace it. Our hallway was very steep and took a lot of work to paint, including the ceiling. Mr. Cortes not only patched a hole in the wall from the previous renter, but he also went above and beyond by caulking the molding on the side of the steps which gave our hall a much more finished look. After finishing each step in the process he would have me look at the job to make sure it was okay with me. After he finished the hall, he started working on our bedroom. After applying a few strokes of the green color, he had me look at it to see if I liked the color before he continued. We had some leftover paint from when I painted the ceiling, but when he opened it, he realized it had dried up. So I went to Home Depot to get a match. Home Depot messed up the order, and gave me the wrong shade. Mr. Cortes noticed it right away and asked if I wanted him to continue since it was only a little bit darker than the original or if I wanted to go back. I ended up going back and getting the right shade. Our master bedroom and hall are quite large, but he managed to finish the job all in one day. He only came back the next day for an hour to put the finishing touches on the ceiling paint. All in all, I was impressed by his experience (he has been painting over 10 years), his speed, his price, and his excellent communication and professionalism. I am recommending him to everyone I know. Although we are located in Lake Stevens, he works in a wide range of areas, including the East Side and Seattle.
