The end result is beautiful and it was completed within budget. However, it was kind of a "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" experience. The builder wasn't familiar with city codes, so there were a lot of last minute adjustments. He's a nice guy, though, and very conscientous. He did everything he needed to do in order for the city inspections to be approved, with a lot of the work completed at-cost. A bit of constructive feedback: we couldn't rely on him to show up when he said he was going to show up. Sometimes he would just drop by and expect us to drop what we were doing to answer his questions. Overall, he was very conscientous and the building is very high quality craftsmanship. We would hire him again and we would recommend him to others for similar projects. Areas for improvement include: punctuality, and organizational skills (bringing all necessary paperwork, measuring tape, pen, etc. to meetings)
