Dean was out to look at the job the day after I called him. He sent me an estimate 1 day after his review. Dean and his crew were professional and prompt finishing the job on schedule and budget. Dean actually finished the back side of a 300 square foot wall with no increase in cost to me. He had good suggestions and the quality of the job was better than my house. I would definitely hire him again for another job!!

Dean did my taping and texturing for a bath remodel and bedroom and did an excellent job. Always showed when he said he would and finished the job ahead of schedule. I do not hire many contractors, but was very happy with Dan and his work.

Dean did an excellent job repairing all unsightly ceiling and wall areas. He took extra care to ensure any exposed woodwork and other areas of our home were well protected from dust and texture overspray during his work. The "knock down" texture work he did matches existing finished areas perfectly. Dean was good about communicating arrival times and prompt about sticking to them. We had used Dean a few years ago to do drywall work on a master bathroom remodel job and were also very pleased with his work. He is a professional and his prices are fair for the quality work he does. Will continue to use Dean for any future drywall work.

Very professional with reasonable cost. In the beginning, Sheetrocker complained framing is not even on several places and didn't worked first couple days. But, Dean managed it. then, when sheetrocker actually started work, I have surprised how they are good at speed & quality. not happy with that sheetrocker delayed couple days but, they are really good at what they doing. after sheetrocker finished. tapers started working. these guys are amazing. professional, hardworking. No complaint at all. after than, Dean primed & Textured whole house by him self, turned out great. Strongly recommended. Thanks Dean.

They did the drywall work for a remodeled master bathroom and closet that were finished smooth-wall with the adjacent bedroom walls, knockdown. They did a perfect job. They also did a perfect job repairing ceiling cracks and water damage in other areas of the home, blending them into the existing surrounding knockdown texture. I can't see the transitions. They are pros. There was minimal sanding dust and they did a good job masking and cleaning up.

Dean did a great job fixing our ceiling after the installation of the new bathroom fans. All we had to do was paint and you would never know any work has been done.  If I ever need drywall work again, I will call Dean.

The job was small -- others didn't want to touch it.  Dean fit it into his schedule.  He did nice work.  I finished painting yesterday and I can't tell the walls were patched and retextured whatsoever.

Another marvel is that he didn't make any dust.  Before he arrived, I had taped up plastic in the hallway outside the bathroom like it was a scene from Dexter.  Dean said that I didn't need to do that.  I didn't believe him, but he was right...

Thanks, Dean, for doing a good job on my bathroom.

I installed taped and mudded approximately 3 sheets of new wallboard as part of a master bathroom remodel project but needed a pro to apply texture to match the existing walls in the bathroom. I contacted Dean for a bid and he responded promptly with a call and came to my home to look at the job and provide a firm bid the next day. His bid was very fair and he even provided tips for me to follow in prepairing the walls properly. Dean applied the texture to the walls on the date and time scheduled and did a super job knocking it down to match the existing walls perfectly. Once primed and painted I could not even tell which areas were new and which were old wallboard. Dean did an excellent job, was fair, prompt and neat- he even removed his shoes when he entered my home. I intend to use Dean in the future and would definitely  recommend him for professional drywall work.

The job was done beautifully.  Dean even repaired some things that were not in the original contract and he did not charge us more.  We were very impressed. The seams do not show. The cracks are repaired and the texture looks great.  I had to wait a little while to be scheduled in, but I think that is because Dean's Dependable Drywall is very busy, because they do quality work. It was definitely worth the wait.  Once I was scheduled, the job was done quickly and professionally. I would absolutely use Dean's Dependable Drywall in the future.

The process went very well from start to finish.  I highly recommend Dean to all.  He does excellent work.  Dry-walling takes incredible workmanship skills, and Dean's work is so impeccable.  Dean answered all of our questions (and we ask questions beyond what most customers ask), and he was very patient and supportive.  We also needed the work completed within a short time frame, and Dean committed to meeting our deadline, and he did so.  Dean completed the job on time, with excellent quality and service.   AND Dean is very nice to work with.  We are so thankful that we selected Dean over the other four providers we spoke with.   Thank you Dean!

The remodeling process seemed to destroy the ceiling in every imaginable way. We tore down a wall between the kitchen and family room resulting in a huge linear hole, through the ceiling, traveling across the room for probably 12 feet. All of the lighting was either relocated or removed, which created another dozen holes. A big skylight was replaced and its exposed rafters were wrapped in drywall which and left ready to finish and texture. Additionally, two walls were extended by just a few inches to allow space for cabinet molding. A window and a sliding door were removed and a couple small walls were built to enclose our pullout pantry. There were several other repairs and drywall issues -- in general we had an enormous mess!
We knew that the quality of the drywall and texturing would be very important to the overall quality of this remodel. To make it right, every one of the many patches as well as the new work required the drywall, tape and texture to perfectly blend into the existing light knock-down texture.
We turned to Angie?s List, and based on reader reviews we called Dean?s Dependable Drywall. When he arrived, our plea to him,
?Can you make this look like it never happened??
Dean was patient with our DIY scheduling setbacks, as well as our changes and additions to the work list. He was always prompt and cordial with communication. He was punctual, and did not rush or take shortcuts with our job. And, most important, the quality of his work, as well as that of his assistant, Eric, was done with care and attention to detail.
The Result:
It looks like it never happened!  We got exactly what we hoped for! The walls and ceiling are the canvas from which we build, and now they look great! That is why we called on a professional and why we were especially lucky to have Dean do this job.

Dean promptly called me back and was patient as I explained the issue.  We set up a time for him to come out and provide an estimate.  He came out on 8/16/13.  He was punctual.  We had a thorough discussion about the scope of the project.  We discussed options e.g. scraping vs. replacing they drywall.  We discussed the pros and cons of each option and the cost of each option.  I felt the discussion was very thorough and he answered all my questions, did not rush, and explained everything in laymans terms.  He provided me with a handwritten estimate.  I got 3 estimates and Dean's was the least expensive.  I compared all 3 in terms of how they presented during the phone call, estimate, my personal feeling of meeting with them, the other reviews on AL, and the info from the state licensing board.  Since Dean's was the least expensive and he was equal in all other categories to the other 2 estimates, I decided to hire him.  We scheduled to start the project on 8/27/13 at 9:30am.  Dean was on time.  He said it would take 4 to 5 days and that he would be in and out during those days.  Since the condo was empty, I gave him the keys so he could come and go as he needed.  I did a surprise check on the condo Tuesday evening (8/27/13).  I got there around 7:30pm.  Dean did exactly what he said in terms of laying down plastic to protect the carpet, walls, and other rooms.  The entire ceiling had been scrapped!  It was amazing, looked great even though it was just exposed ceiling drywall.  He also cleaned up and did not leave a big mess.  I was really impressed.  He also took the blades off the ceiling fan and carefully taped and protected it.  He put the blades back on too which was a fabulous help as it is a 12' vaulted ceiling.  He needed an extra day to complete the project, which was no big deal to me, as it was Labor Day weekend.  The final step was painting the ceiling.  I had concerns about putting a prime coat on before the paint.  We had a thorough conversation about it.  Dean listened to my concerns but also informed me of his professional opinion and explained how spay painting it with 3 coats would be adequate.  I finally agreed.  When my husband and I went out to look at the completed job, it was FABULOUS!  It was better than I anticipated.  I am totally happy with the outcome.  I recommend Dean and I would hire him again.  Thanks Dean!!!

Dean is very pleasant to work with. He was on time for his bid and was able to do the job around our schedule. He ended up communicating with both my husband and myself and that went smoothly. Dean needed an extra half day to finish the job because he needed extra drying time. He was open about this and we were fine with it. The end result is wonderful, we are very happy with our new ceilings.

Came out and quoted our project the day after I contacted him.  He
subcontracted the soffit framing and major drywall installation in my
garage. Dean repaired our drywall mess with quiet efficiency. Was easy
to work with and flexible when I changed the scope of the project.
Work looks good and the texture matches the drywall around where he
worked.  He willingly expanded a portion of the scope to ensure the
quality look of the finished project.

He did fail to show up on one day when his texture spraying equipment
failed.  Overall he was a pleasure to work with, and I'd call him
again if I needed similar work.
