If I could give Less than an F grade, I would. DO NOT HIRE ALMGREN CONSTRUCTION. I hired Almgren Construction (owned by John and Crystal Almgren) to build my deck. Communication was very poor and defensive when I asked nail lines to be straight and nail gun to be set the same so countersink of holes would be even (they are not and some are so deep I have to fill them with wood putty!). Work was subpar. After paying them $16,000, I also had to pay a $2,500 lien because Almgren did not pay the supplier for the materials I paid to them. The Almgrens owe me $2,513.31 and they do not respond to calls or written requests.

We hired Almgren Construction to re-side our house after meeting John at his booth at the Everett Home Show. His quoted price was lower than others we had received, and he took time to personally assure us of the quality of his work. The crew was friendly, helpful and on time. In several instances they took "extra steps" to make the finished product look professional. We would gladly recommend this company to our friends.
