Lacey Glass, Inc

I had a terrible experience with Lacey Glass -or with "Lacey Glass at Home". ( The relationship between the two isn't completely clear to me, but "Lacey Glass at Home" is listed on Lacey Glass's website as a service of the larger company.) The old skylight in our bedroom started to leak; I signed a contract with "Lacey Glass at Home" to replace it. After the replacement, it leaked even worse. Whether the new glass was installed improperly, or Lacey Glass had misdiagnosed the problem from the start, or else had accidentally done some damage to my roof during the installation, I cannot say. To be fair "Lacey Glass at Home" did the installation for less than their original estimate, so there is no question here of financial trickery. On the other hand the work was done terribly, without any sense of embarrassment or responsibility about it coming out worse than before. I have to imagine that this was such a small job ($3,000) that they didn't really care.

The existing enclosure included two back walls and a shower pan. The two back walls were somewhat out of plumb and there was very little space between one of the new glass walls and the adjacent vanity counter. It was a challenging situation to work with and prior to installation their installer came out, looked at the layout and made careful measurements since the glass walls would be custom made. Due to the challenging situation with the old retained elements of the shower enclosure, after the initial installation it required several follow up visits to get the enclosure right. The main point I want to make in this review is: the crew from Lacey Glass was diligent in following up and working with us to get the enclosure perfect. They were cheerful, clearly determined to completely satisfy us, prompt and efficient. I can highly recommend them for any glass projects within the scope of their firm's work. I will use them again the next time I have an appropriate project.

Excellent service. Customer service very professional. Installers did excellent job -- however, they could have "cleaned" glass after install for a "perfect" job. They stated to be here at 1:00 PM and arrived at 2:30. But job took only 20 minutes to complete -- very confident personnel.
