The gentleman who we had e-mail correspondence with estimated $14,425.00. When we met with him later that month he presented us the a bill of $21,647.00 and then two days later we received another email with a bill of $23,641.12. So the final bill ended up being $23,461.12. We found out that one of the reasons the bill was so large was that they left contaminated soil on the property from July until September. When they could have moved it to the disposal center much sooner. They did not tell us that they had sub-contracted the box for the contaminated soil and so they charged us for the monthly fee with interest and ended up overcharging us greatly. When we received the bill the company who the box was contracted through was charging for 25 tons of soil and Western States was charging us for 70 tons of oil. There was a seven thousand dollar difference in the charges. I continued calling them to have someone meet with us to discuss what had happened for the bill to go from $14,425.00 to $23,461.12 and they have repeatedly ignored our calls. We have spoken with other consultants for the firm and they told us that our case was handled entirely wrong. Anytime there would have been a change from the original contract the company should have contacted us and they never did. We have now brought attorney's into this and the company is continuing to ignore us and the attorneys.
