Totem Lake Auto Care fixed an ongoing and hard to diagnose coolant system leak. It was fixed on time for a reasonable price. This was a frustrating fix that other mechanics were unable to figure out.

I noticed the tell-tale sounds of brakes needing replacement. I did NOT want to take the truck to the dealer due to a bad experience I had in the past. I also wanted a smaller shop with professional and well trained mechanics to do the work. I checked 2 places, AAA and Angie's list. After researching a number of shops I took the plunge and made an appointment with Totem Lake Auto Care. The owner, Bret Bollinger answered the phone. Bret was accommodating and we set the appointment. I dropped it off after hours and picked it up the next day. They replaced the brakes and changed the brake fluid. They also checked the front brakes EVEN though I did not ask them to do so. They COULD have said the fronts needed to be replaced BUT DID NOT! Some shops might play the and quot;up selland quot; game but Totem Lake Auto Care did not try to sell me more than I needed. They cared enough to make sure the fronts were safe. That's all. VERY refreshing. I am glad I found someone I can trust with my vehicles. I will continue working with Bret and his team at Totem Lake Auto Care.

Description of Work: My husband and I began taking our cars to Bret about two years ago. He has done everything from a 60,000 mile tune up to oil changes to brake jobs for us. The latest work he completed for us was a front brake job on our '06 Lexus which needed new calipers, pads and rotors. (The Lexus dealer would have charged us over $850.) Bret is very knowledgeable. The main reason we continue to go back to him is because his is conscientious and trustworthy. His prices are also very fair. We are most happy with the work he has done on both our Lexus and our '06 BMW.

Master Mechanics which means they are committed to keeping up with what is changing in the industry. I really can't say enough about the integrity of the owner Bret, and his very competent Right Hand Brad. I am confidant you'll be happy with your experience at Totem Like Auto Care.
Description of Work: Oil Change and Filter, Rotate Tires, Check Engine light on, diagnosed Recovery Canister Purge Valve not functioning. Replaced failed part, retested. Passed Emission tests. The work was very well done and reasonable in price. $200.00 I take 6 vehicle to Totem Lake Auto Care for all my service and repair. Bret and Brad are very experienced professionals who do an honest days work. As a retired Mechanic I only take my trucks and cars to someone who is better then I was, these guys are just that good. He maintains our Chevy Suburban 4x4, my Dodge 2500 4x4 Diesel, a Ford Taurus, a Ford Explorer Sport, a Volkwagon Passat, and a VW Jetta. All maintained with clear explanation of the work needed, never oversold. I send all my friends and family to Totem Lake Auto Care. The Suburban has had Air Conditioning work, oil leak repair, four wheel brakes, transmission flush and fill. My Taurus has a full service, fixed a surge caused by the emission control servo failure They have replaced my transmission in my Dodge 2500 4x4 Turbo Diesel and will be doing a valve job for the truck starting on 9/20 Bottom Line I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else, honest, fair, prices, takes the time, if you want, to explain what is being fix and if your interested he will take the time to explain how it works, how its broken, and what will fix it. Excellent!

Description of Work: I met Bret several years ago when he was with another Ford Service Company. I always felt very comfortable with his assessment of needed services for my car. When he left that company and started his own there was no question in my mind about following him. I feel he has a excellent understanding of the dynamics of my car, and prices his services reasonably. It's always comforting to go with a company that you trust. This is definitely one.
