I had a 50 year old chimney with significant degradation due to age and maintenance issues from previous home owners. PMR was, hands down, the most professional masonry company I contacted in looking to repair or replace the chimney. They helped understand material replacement options, were communicative as issues arose, and timely in making sure the work got done. All the individuals I had contact with from PMR were friendly and helpful as the process went. Will definitely consider them for any future masonry work I might need and already recommending them to coworkers who might need in the future.

The mortar on the chimney above the roof was falling out. I had four estimates made using Angies List. One of the recommended companies was Premier Masonry Restoration. Steve, the owner, inspected the chimney and recommended tuck pointing the chimney and installing a stainless steel chase cover and chimney caps. He also recommended a sealant be applied in the Spring to prevent damage like this in the future. The other three bids for the work were higher, one even stated that the chimney could not be repaired and would need to be rebuilt. A call to Steve assured me that this was not the case. Lisa in the office was also a pleasure to work with. She kept me informed via email through the scheduling and contract signing process. It was nice to be able to do the contract through DocuSign, saving time and effort for both parties. I will be sent a reminder in the Spring when the protectant can be applied to the chimney. The person scheduled to do the job had a migraine on the day the work was scheduled. Steve called me to let me know and was very apologetic. The work was rescheduled for the next day. The mason showed up the next day with a helper and completed the job in 1-1/2 hours. The chimney looks wonderful! I went on the roof after the work was done and found the workmanship to be excellent. The roof around the chimney was cleaner than before the repair, as the workers even picked up the old mortar lying on the roof prior to the work. I have already recommended Premier Masonry Restoration to one of my friends who has a similar problem with his chimney. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others or to use them again in the future.

The chimney on my 1927 house was -literally- falling apart. Representatives from several local masonry/chimney repair businesses visited and submitted estimates. Steve was the only one who actually inspected the chimney from the rooftop, the only one who took pictures to show me the repairs that were required, the only one who seemed personally concerned about the structure of my home. Steve, Lisa, and the crew who performed the work were professional, informative, and friendly. The crew arrived on time and cleaned up the area before leaving; they worked through the 2 90degree days and completed the work within 2 days. Premier Masonry is a family owned business that provides outstanding services! I will recommend them in a heartbeat!

Steve and Lisa are the most efficient and clear communicators I have met among anyone in the construction/renovation industry. Every invoice and quote was very detailed and their prices beat out the competitors easily. They were prompt and on time. Steve and his team were always courteous. They worked quickly and minimized interruption in our day-to-day lives to the extent possible. I can't say enough how wonderful they were!

We had Premier Masonry re-point our entire home + chimney this last winter, we bought the home and about a year ago and the inspection showed the mortar was in need of serious repair as the house is 90 years old, and bricks were coming loose from the archways. We got several estimates for the work, when i met Steve he set himself apart from others with his level of honesty, passion and experience working with Masonry, he answered all my questions in detail and followed him and Lisa followed up super quickly to any pre-job questions i had. Premier was on time with their start date, even though from original contact the date was months out due to their schedule being so busy. The crew were super punctual, showed up on time, were super friendly and it was clear that Steve's customer empathy and customer service is passed down to his lead foreman who was super helpful throughout the whole project. I was super impressed with the daily clean-up and respect the crew has for making sure we could still use main entries to the house, in other reviews i read they cleaned-up well every day but until you see how dusty/messy the job is you have no appreciation for how thorough the daily clean-up really is. During the grinding process we had a few of our origial drafty windows letting in dust, the crew was super responsive and ensure to tape the inside jams to ensure the dust didn't penetrate further. They tackled the house one side at a time and and cleaned the brick after pointing each side, the house now looks fantastic with all sides being refreshed to original appearance and mortar strength. They also did a great job on the chimney and installed a cap, so we are super confident with the stability of the large brick chimney we have. Once the job was done Steve came by for a walk-through and addressed any small corrections needed, he even had one of his guys repair a couple firebox joints with black dye'd mortar after me asking about whether i should address it or not, i was so impressed. I would definitely recommend Steve and crew for brick restoration jobs.

They were very good. We weren't sure about something and the owner came out and checked it out. He said it was what needed to be done, but not more than what needed to be done. I don't know much about pricing, but it seems reasonable. I had to wait a long time to get an appointment, but we made it. They were booked.

What a great experience it is to work with Premier Masonry. Steve, the owner, is fantastic...a true professional who knows his craft. We bought a 30 year old home that had brick failing all over the place. I called Steve and he came out in short order to look the situation over. He explained what was failed and why and how he would do as well as what we could do to help the brick last longer in the Pacific Northwest climate. We had one other company come out, but Steve provided us with more detail regarding our situation and was less expensive. His crew did beautiful work and when the first chimney was not what we were expecting design wise, Steve and crew didn't bat an eye and made suggestions on what they could differently and went right to modifying the design. The initial design lacked the detail that we were expecting, but that was not the fault of anyone. Neither Steve nor I discussed the actual design. In retrospect we both agreed that would have been a good idea, but all is good and we love our new brickwork. They used materials that blended beautifully with our old brick so that it is not hugely obvious where the old ends and the new begins. We appreciated Steve helping us save money by using the old brick that was still fine. Steve also filled any cracks in the mortar around our house and removed and relayed bricks in our fireplace where we are hanging our television. We highly recommend Steve and will definitely use him again in the future.

They had the right size crew and the right equipment. Their protection of the property was exactly right. Their cleanup was excellent. Every aspect of the job was exactly what I wanted.

Premier always kept in touch about when they'd be out since the job performed were weather sensitive. Didn't try to rush the work and answered all our questions promptly. Priced came in as bid, and they sent invoices marked "paid" as each step of the job was completed. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone - and would definitely use them again. They were outstanding to work with (which we can't say about most of the people we've hired).

Steve and team were great. They were on time and efficient. Had to match existing 1966 brick which they did perfectly. He had great suggestions on a new top to chimney to avoid other issues. Chimney looks great. Done on time and for quote.
