The existing deck was falling apart and needed a replacement. A friend of the family referred Morales to us after they had them install a new deck, plus some bathroom work.
My new deck is approximately 8' x 20', which is a little larger than the one being replaced. When discussing the job for the estimate, I asked to have stairs come straight out to back yard, perpendicular to house, to minimize footprint to patio below. I also asked them to position footers in such a way that the tops would be level with nearby patio, as I was planning ahead to have concrete poured in area under deck, to extend patio.
In an effort to try and save a few bucks, we agreed that I'd take care of the debris. I had ideas to use some of the wood on other projects They piled up the debris and they did haul away some of the most rotten pieces. I saved some and cut up some and hauled the rest away and did save a few bucks too.
During the deck project process we spoke about replacing some windows. Initially we had them install 2 bathroom windows. We liked them so much that we had 3 bedroom windows and a kitchen window replaced. The new windows made such a difference in the inside room temperature. We've special ordered a garden window that will be installed soon. I wasn't able to afford to replace all the windows at once so we worked it out to do 2 or 3 at a time.
This company has been great to work with and I especially like how they were amenable to working with me in an effort to save where possible.
I would definitely use them again. In fact I have 3 more windows for them to do.
Thanks,
