I had an outdated overhead opener and it needed to be replaced. There was a clearance problem for the new opener and it was solved by my installer. The solution was to use an opener that operates at the side of the door. The new opener was ordered and installed as quickly as possible. I was very satisfied.

Danny was on-time. He suggested replacement of additional door hardware (rollers and bearings) to prolong life, which I accepted. Installation of opener and other parts done in about 2 hours. Danny was professional and thorough and on completion spent time going over operation of opener (new openers have many more features than previously.....auto close after pre-set time, etc). Overall very pleased with results.

It went great. I called first thing in the morning and the owner, Danny, said he could come out the same day. He phoned me when he was on his way and arrived promptly. After checking out the door I was given various options to resolve the problem. He offered an inexpensive fix, and also told me of the advantages of upgrading the rollers and/or the motor. The prices seemed reasonable from what I know of what other people have spent for similar repairs. And the quality of what was offered seemed very good and seemed like a good upgrade. I decided to have all the work done rather than the less expensive options and then still have to deal with the rest at a later time. Everything was done quickly and it all works great. And he was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.

Danny was very responsive from my initial call for a quote and came out much sooner than I thought for getting this work done. We have been extremely pleased with the motors recommended and love that they have a lifetime warranty. We look forward to keeping them in good shape with Danny's help.

Danny doesn’t charge extra for emergency service, and he was able to come out same day I called. After a quick inspection,he showed me what components needed to be replaced, and what could be kept. He keeps a truck full of parts and supplies, so we reviewed a couple of options for pricing and “do-now” vs “do-later” choices. I elected to go with doing both springs and motor today, and Danny got to work. Couple hours later, he was finished! He spent some time helping me get the remotes and access pad programmed. Top quality gear, outstanding service, and really nice gentleman. Highly recommended!

I talked to Danny on Saturday morning at about 10am (just after my spring broke) and he was able to fit us in that day. He showed up as expected and had everything that he needed to fix the door immediately. Both Danny and his associate were very professional and completed the job without any problems. I explained that we were most likely going to replace the door itself in the next year or two and he also explained the life expectancy of a couple of the other parts (and didn't recommend that we replace those as they would be part of the new door installation when we get that done). I felt that he was very honest and would strongly recommend them to friends. I will be calling Danny when it is time to fully replace the door.

Danny was responsive to my email (most Angie's List people just ignore email in my area), he was able to come the very next morning, he knocked it out in an hour and his price was reasonable, especially given how sensitive my noggin' is. Service went well. Was fast and efficient. Knew immediately that the spring was the wrong size and had to replace. Did not try to sell me more than what was needed. He returned back on a Sunday to take care of another issue that came up in adjusting the alignment of the detectors and didn't charge me for the work. Great customer service.

It went really well, he did a great job and it looked nice when he was done. He was missing a part he did not know was missing, the rubber part. He went home, got it, added it and fixed it right and there was no talk of additional cost. Danny was really great.

When I asked Danny about the next step, as in when he could have another opener and get it installed, he said he could easily be at my home within two hours and have the units changed out in less than 45 minutes. Danny said he would call as he left Kirkland for my home in Redmond and he did exactly that. Danny and his main man Ray arrived at 4:15 sharp and at 4:50 sharp I had a new door opener installed and fully operative. I'm in my late 50s and am a bit of a customer-service nut. If I get great service from a person or a company, I return FOREVER, and perhaps of greater importance, I tell EVERYONE I know. Similarly, if I your service sucks, I never return and I tell everyone I know. Danny and Ray far exceeded my expectations yesterday relative to response, a no-sales approach to solving my problem and in doing it freaky-fast.

Danny was kind, sharing that 1 in about 6 calls is due to an accident like mine, was highly informative and reasonable on cost. I will definitely recommend him to others as I have done before.

Called to get a estimate. Prompt response.Owner of business came to my home.Looked the job over and told me from the start that my door was a special built and therefore the new door would also have to be built to fit. Explained in great detail all the things that had to be done, also pointed out that he would be upgrading the material needed from the material used in a standard insulation. He also pointed out that he would be hiring a carpenter to do the framing and a electrician to hard wire the outlet needed for power. At first I thought the price was higher then expected, I felt I would be getting a quality installation and a quality company, that the owner would be doing the installing and selling me a much better door then you would be getting from a big box store. I was able to be home the day of the install and was able to see all the work required to remove the old door and see the quality of material being installed .There is no question you do not need to look any further, this is the company you want to do your new install or even if you just need a repair job done. Just call and I am sure the owner will be answering if not just ask for Danny, the owner

First, please note: we rated the "Price" with a B because of suffering "sticker shock." It is not the fault of the L.W. Garage Door Service that the garage doors and other parts are so expensive. That's simply how things are these days. To Danny's credit, he didn't charge us for the doors' hardware upgrade, and he didn't charge a fee for labor for installing new garage door openers. After considering all options, we selected garage doors which have frosted glass panels in the top segments. After all details were worked out, Danny put in the special order, contacted us as soon as it arrived, and installed the garage doors on the first available day. We have new garage doors, openers, and wireless keypads for remote access. We are very pleased with how they look, and it was a pleasure working with Danny on this project.

We found these guys on Angies list, my wife called and they were out the next day. They said the doors and openers were pretty old and they could replace all the hardware, but that wouldn't last nearly as long as fully replacing. They gave us a detailed written quote to replace all the hardware and tune things up as well as a quote to completely replace the doors and openers. We elected to have them replace all the hardware and tune up the doors - the came out within 2 days of us accepting the quote and got the work done in a couple of hours and doors has worked flawlessly - and rolls much quieter and smoother. It was a little expensive - but was definitely a wise investment - you get what you pay for. Daniel was very courteous and professional and we would definitely use Lake Washington Garage Door Service again and/or recommend them.

Danny arrived on-time and was very professional. He was informative on options and ways to fix and improved performance of the broken door as well as predicting potential life remaining in the springs of the other doors. He replaced the broken spring, the spring 2 other doors and replaced the rollers in two doors. I wanted to support the independent businessman and he didn't disappoint. Daniel ( owner) showed up as promised to give us a free estimate, he also recommended changing some plastic parts ( rollers, centerplate) with better quality materials . It was hard to find a time that worked for all our schedules, but he was willing to come on Sunday, arrived promptly and did the work on time as promised. He put better quality springs and we hope these will last as advertised ( high cycle springs, better quality steel). Price was good , and also we had a coupon through Angie's list, which helped pay the extras. Professional, flexible, and prepared with all the supplies he needed.
