We have a new home so this is a big project for each trade. He started quickly and was there every time he said he would be, and he completed when he said he would. He was very cooperative and responsive throughout the entire job.
As they hung the sheet rock and I made several comments about too few screws. The cutouts they made for lights etc were good in most places but too big for trim in others (hard to fix after paint so 23 oversize goof rings were located). I asked them not to hit the screws with hammers if they were too far out...this seemed elementary to me. Now we already have a few tape joints moving that will eventually crack, and many popped screws are showing. Post paint so will take new screws, mud, rework, and paint to fix.
His price was excellent so the quality I got is what I paid for I suppose. As with other reviews I have made about this project it's out on Whidbey so it was extremely difficult to get a selection of contractors...let alone any contractor at times.
In the end I give the sheet rock finish a "C+" grade, but cooperation and ease to work with an "A". I saved over $10k and he was easy to deal with, so I feel like I got what I paid for. If I could have been on site (I have a day job) things could have been better as I could have pushed for more screws and if a screw was too high for tape, screw it in....don't hammer it. He was very cooperative so would have complied had I been there.
The deal was for 8 man hours. They scheduled 2 cleans to come for a total of 4 hours. # hours into it they called me and said they were finished. I pulled into the driveway and one of the cleaners was just waiting in the car. The other cleaner took me around to show me how clean the place was. At first it looked ok... but after they left I started to notice that nothing above eye level was touched. The kitchen cabinets were still dirty and there was dust on almost every wall shelf. The floor and bathrooms looked nice, but even the kitchen back splash was not cleaned.
I definietly did not receive 8 man hours of deep cleaning...
As they came in, they asked if we had any garbage bags they could use. They hadn't brought any. They brought their home vacuum cleaner and a couple of spray bottles. I got the feeling they hadn't done this too may times. We left shortly after they arrived. They seemed unsettled that we were leaving. When we returned it looked like a teenager had cleaned for 30 minutes. A few tables had been moved and left haphazardly in the middle of the floor. Though we had walked them through the house and been clear that the bathrooms were the first priority, somehow one bathroom was completely missed and left filthy.
Overall this is the worst cleaning we have received after trying about 8 local services and yet even with the deal, it was one of the most expensive. Avoid.
"I disagree with you, the work was done right and accordingly. The fact of the matter is this: the complaints started since the undone fourth bathroom. Remember THE BIG DEAL AGREEMENT ALLOW UP TO 3 BATHROOMS. If more time needed additional charge will occur. Your house have 2 floors and a full basement which has a small kitchen and a full bathroom. Total of 4 bathrooms in the house. Even when we ran out of time, we did everything we could at our disposal and we still added 2 additional hrs to complete the work and 3 baths because we wanted to please you. As you said in your words, your house was really filthy and it took us alot of time to get out. As result, The appointment we had in Tulalip that Friday at 1pm we had to reschedule to 2:30 p.m. Yet ungratefully, you come here to express these dishonest and false comments. Just because of the 4th bathroom we couldn't do which has nothing to do with the quality of work performed. Your statement raised doubt regarding the experiences you claim to have with others professional cleaners. If so, you should know that sprayer bottles are part of cleaning tools, if the ones you used in the past they didn't possess sprayers bottles it indicate to me that you had never hired professional ones. And also when you said that one hundred forty ($140)dollars was the highest price you ever paid, it was clear what kind of service you received. The kind of home you possess, for deep cleaning will cost more than the price you paid on Big The Deal! I wish you well and may God bless you all always."
cleaned up my house after having not seen here for three weeks. Thanks for
making my life a little easy.
clean my house. Thank you for the
perfect job that you have done. I will definitely refer your company (Dala Contracting,
LLC) to my friends and co-workers.
"First, I asked a permission on where I could watch my stuff and you directed me to the utility room. and I really appreciated it very much! the floor was protected with drop cloths. I didn't drop any paint on your rug as you said, it is dishonest statement. you forgot to mention that the painter you hired, he brought a sprayer machine into your house and he did't know how to use it. And when he started spraying, because of his inexperience; he sprayed the paint all over the place including the walls that I previously painted. Now, you are accusing me to be responsible of the mess that you have created by hiring inexperience painter, may God judge you.You also said that I worked slowly, it's not true either, just look something the size of the room was 21x16 and the height was 13 feet, in addition , you wanted accent walls, and you expected me to finish the job in 4 hours. If you remember I had to return the next day to complete the job. you must be realistic no one would finish it in 4 hours. I'm harding working person, responsible and neat. Above all, I'm very professional and I clean up myself. Regarding, the ring of oil, on our last conversation we had, you had mentioned that I should call you in advance before I go to your house which I did. But you didn't pick up the phone! so, I left a message which I never got any response until today. If you didn't like the work that I have done, why did you invite me to go back at your property and request an estimate for rest of the house. It is a contradictory statement."
"I really appreciated it, for the opportunity to serve you"
