Ambrosia MedSpa

Ambrosia stole $1,305 from me. I purchased 2 fillers when they had a special going on. There was an expiration date for when the special must be purchased but not when it must be used. I hung on to it for a year and a half using other specials I had purchased by other spa's. When I called to make an appointment I was told there wasn't a record of me in their database. At that point the receptionist said she'd talk with the owner, Stacie about the situation. After many phone calls the receptionist said the owner wouldn't honor my purchase. I even provided the date and the amount I paid by obtaining a copy of my bank statement. It didn't matter. There you have it, I am out $1,305. Poor business ethics, poor customer service and breaking the rule of "treat others as you'd like to be treated yourself" all applies to Ambrosia Med Spa.

During the consultation the woman explaining the services couldn't answer my questions and kept repeating what the price was.  She acted like I was bothering her and said there was a special coming up and that they couldn't tell me what the pricing would be until I came to a party.   Then she said they would call me if I couldn't come to the party and they never did.  They were unhelpful and condescending.  I wouldn't go there even if they were giving the service away and they weren't.  It was expensive too.

Went to see Bridget on the recommendation of a friend with phenomenal skin.  If not for the bargain of the Triple Treat, I may not have booked my first appointment.  About the only thing my cheap a** will spend money on is my hair, but those days have officially come to an end with my first visit to Ambrosia.  Uh oh, I'm in trouble now.  
I have never had a facial nor microderm before.  Yep, almost made it to my fourth decade as a facial virgin.  I walked in feeling really intimidated (fear of the unknown...) but Susie and Bridget both immediately put me at ease.  Bridget showed me to a room and let me know I could go ahead and change into the comfy towel-wrap thingie, put my things in a basket off to the side, climb into the spa bed, and she'd be back soon.  At which point, my un-facial-spa-educated brain said, "HUH?!? I need to disrobe for this?? But it's just my face!" I am laughing at myself as I write this review, but it was a surprise to me so guess what, you get a good giggle at my ignorance.  
Once properly comfy-towel-wrap-thingie attired, I climbed into the warm bed and wanted to stay there for the rest of the day.  Seriously comfy.  I felt...swaddled.  Bridget came in and made an adjustment to the covers at my feet so I didn't inadvertently slide off the end of the table off into the abyss, and then we began.  Bridget was great about explaining every detail, especially important for someone like me who would rather have too much information than not enough.  When it came to the microderm, I was pleasantly surprised to feel a cat's-tongue sensation accompanied by a very, very slight suction.  As though Fluffy were Hoovering my face.  It was actually a neat sensation, although my description doesn't do it justice.  By the time the end came, I was NOT ready to surface back to reality and roll my bum out of that comfy place.  
Next up, a quick dusting of mineral makeup and I was good to go.  Poor Susie had to help me out with the tip when I paid, as my brain was officially goo at that point.  Lovely blissed out feeling, let me tell you!  
I've already booked my next appointment and I know this will become a regular thing.  And yes, Seattleites, it IS worth trekking over to the Eastside for Bridget.  She rocks.

It went excellent.  I like the results.  The procedures are not pleasant but the results really are.

I see Maren Brown and Marcy Monroe aestheticians when I go to Ambrosia MedSpa. Both have been extremely courteous with my care. My facials and skin treatments by Marcy have been delightful and results-based, and I would gift a facial to anyone with pleasure, knowing they would be most pleased! Maren has been a brilliant and efficient laser handler in several different modalities. Her professionalism with laser hair removal has made the experience (yes, bikini line) much less stressful than I ever imagined. I have several areas of past surgeries, on my body and face, and Maren works very well indeed around these sensitive regions while still providing optimal laser results. I've seen Dr. Sobel over the last year for botox and dermal fillers. He makes a potentially frightening experience comfortable and a 'non-event' by way of his professionalism and efficient manner - there is little time to stress about a needle, as he comes in and gets right to the matter at hand, then gives the treatment with pain-lessening technique. I have been very pleased with all the treatments received from Dr. Sobel.

3 sessions spaced 6 weeks apart. The service was fantastic each time and with each clinician that I had. So much attention to detail. Kept asking how my comfort level was and taking breaks and being patient with me. They never made me feel bad, they were always kind.What I appreciated the most was that they were very professional and meticulous during the procedure. We pay alot of money for these types of services and we want to make sure the clinician is going over the spots very carefully and completely. I felt at this spa, thats what they did.
