A & R Landscaping

In spite of an agreed-upon schedule (every other Wednesday at 2pm), they did not show up at my daughter's home (for landscape maintenance services we were paying for) as scheduled more than once and stopped coming altogether without notification -- not even returning my calls for weeks. When they finally answered, they said they had decided to "pass" on the job! I understand people can decide to work or not, but letting the customer know that you've decided not to work for them anymore is the least you can do; right?! And this from a group we had used for a number of years in the past when we used to live in the area. Formerly good service has gone south in a hurry! Use at your own risk!

I used to use A and R landscaping 2-3 times a year for several years. The reason I won't use them again is their unwillingness in one instance to try and make the customer (me) happy. We had a set day and time for a yard clean up at 1pm. I was in Tacoma that day and moved heaven and earth to get back on time to meet them. (Need to get dogs inside, open locked gate, etc.) There were several more things I really needed to do down there but left early so I could get back on time. I arrived at 5 minutes to 1pm and waited until 1:30 for them to show. When they failed to show I called the owner on her cell. She explained they had arrived at 12:45 and as I was not there they went on to the next project. (keep in mind I had made the appt a couple weeks earlier as they stay very busy). I told her I had cancelled stuff I still had to do in Tacoma to get back in time and she said sorry but they were gone. I asked her to call them back but she refused. I asked her what she could do to fix this and she said and quot;Well, what do you want me to do about it?!and quot; I suggested them coming the next day early, they were busy. I suggested bringing them back later that week and giving me a discount for the inconvenience I had. (We had people coming over for a birthday party and I wanted yard to look nice). She said no. She seemed very put out and seemed not at all interested in fixing the problem. I felt that they should have stayed until 1pm before leaving as that is when the appt was set. I came home from Tacoma early for nothing. Her total lack of response, interest or flexibility in figuring out a solution was what made me decide to leave them. I have never used them since.

Rosa showed up right on time for the estimate. The crew showed up

right on time to do the work and it was all done excellent.

• Aand R focused on the easy work (mowing and edging), and didn't do what was asked (gardens, weeding, shrubs/trees, pruning).
• Aand R was slow/no responsivesive.
• Aand R did not bill/invoice to expectation.
• Aand R stopped providing service altogether without notification. My gardens have 'neglect' as a result.

They were prompt, professional and efficient. They ended up cleaning/removing some plants (lily of the valley, trillium) that I didn't want touched but I didn't realize it until it was done. My fault probably :(

Rosa came out quickly to provide an estimate. They were able to perform the work within 2 weeks. They did have to postpone and finish on 2 separate days due to the heat, but she communicated this and rescheduled quickly.

Very professional on every level---very hard workers---They had all the tools they needed to do the job and it was very impressive to watch them work ---

We met promptly to do an estimate. The estimate was reasonable based on the amount of work. They returned a week later with a crew and worked hard to complete the job. The yard looks great.

They showed up on time, but what I really appreciated was they gave us a bid before hand. Very easy to communicate with and prompt response. I am already calling them back for a bid for a retaining wall.

Aand R did an outstanding job. We were extremely pleased:

• Arrived on time to inspect our garden to make an offer.

They were terrific. They come out and gave me a bid and they scheduled me for a week later. I was happy with their bid. It was fine. Their service was great and they did a great job. I invested in it and they work hard. They work on the weekends too.

GREAT! In and out in 1 day. Brought adequate crew. Did EVERYTHING they committed to. Great attention to detail!

I called at the last minute and they came over on Saturday afternoon and did everything in a timely and professional manner. Great workers and made my yard look great. Would use again!

This is the 2nd time I have used A and R. They are so very prompt and efficient and work very hard to leave the yard in excellent shape. 3 people came to do weeding of several large areas in the front yard, and around the back yard. They then spread beauty bark over all the areas just weeded. They took away all the yard waste from the work, and cleaned up the site. They worked nearly the entire day to get it all done. They provided the bark, and all the equipment they used.

Excellent. They booked me quickly, arrived on time, worked their tails off, carted everything away. By day's end, the place looked brand new.

They're awesome! They are very conscientious, and their work is excellent. Their crew is able to get done in a day what would take us weeks to do on our own. Highly recommended!

I had a short time frame for getting the shrubs pruned so painting could begin. Aand R Landscaping was able to work me in. They pruned the overgrown rhododendrons in front of the house and took down a large vine maple. They cleaned up all debris. It looks good, and we're ready to paint.

They came earlier in the week to discuss options and give an estimate. They worked me into their busy schedule and brought out extra help to complete the job in time for a big party the following weekend. Were very prompt in returning calls and always available by phone for questions.

They did fine so far. They were very nice people.
