"Service is very important to me. It was unfortunate that this replacement took several weeks to complete, do to my vacation schedule. The location of this project required a travel time of 1.5 hours and I wanted to keep the cost down for the customer. I delivered the glass, cleaned the broken glass out of the rail system, installed the new glass, and charged $30 for my labor. I was able to keep the cost down by scheduling the work when I was in the area. Total cost for the replacement was $75. In the future I will keep the lines of communication between my customers more open and explain the reason for any delay in providing service."
The original work was estimated at $2,400, but the additional verifiable damage extended the project and cost. No details of the damage were hidden, and no shortcuts or corners taken to accelerate the work or minimize overhead. No additional work was taken without authorization and estimated extended cost.
This additional work was properly and accurately accounted, with accomodating schedule adjusted to suit.
This ends a long and frustrating history of attempts to stop lower floor water leakage that may have eventually resulted in partial roof collapse.
We wish Scott and his crew continued success in the high level of quality and professionalism they have demonstrated.
"We strive to provide each and every client with quality work and customer service, and take client dissatisfaction seriously. This clients first choice of color was not available in stock so an alternate color was offered and accepted prior to the work proceeding. After multiple attempts to resolve any issues at no additional charge the client declined and said she wanted someone else to look at the work. I welcomed a second opinion and offered to make any corrections a third party contractor found negligent in our work. I offered to paint the new trim we installed free of charge but she declined and said she would have the house painted soon. I expressed how important it was to make sure she was satisfied with our work and offered to come back after she had someone else evaluate our work. No attempt was made by the owner to contact us and schedule a time we could come make corrections. In the owners report she concluded that the work performed did meet the contract agreement but she was not satisfied with the final results. It is unfortunate and very disappointing that this customer was not willing to work with us to resolve the issues she had with the completed work."
