The service person was timely and quickly diagnosed the problem. We ended up needing a new garage door opener. We scheduled a 2nd visit for the garage door opener to be installed. The technician arrived promptly again, installed the garage door opener and made sure I knew how it worked. I have always had such good service from this company.

I was leaving town at 3:00 P.M. so I called to make an appointment for over a week later, when I returned. They called back and said they could come in 45 minutes and promised to be done by 2:00 p.m. They did as they said, fixed my door efficiently, replacing both springs and servicing the door, and I felt better being able to leave town with the problem solved.

I initially called to see if they could service my 70s era Ward door opener. Adam informed me it was not up to current code and that the whole thing would need to be replaced. Since the door was also in poor shape I decided this would be best. He gave me a written quote immediately that I thought was reasonable and after a bit of shopping around I scheduled the replacement. Work was done promptly and professionally and everything functions great!

It was good. They were prompt and came out the same day. I like that the gentleman explained what he was doing. He diagnosed quick and fixed it quick.

Our garage door was damaged by a kid riding his bike. He lost control and went through our garage door. We had to replace the door. I called Doorman and they brought samples of possible replacement doors out. The salesman was very nice and knowledgable. He gave us the pros and cons of all the choices. We are very happy with the service and our garage door. We also needed to replace a faulty garage door opener. We once again called Doorman. It sounds silly, but I love our new quiet garage door opener. We have a second garage door that I want to replace the garage door opener also. We will use Doorman again.

Working well

We were provided helpful recommendations and explanation for what type of door construction and color to buy. Communications were effective and installation was on schedule and professionally performed. Mess was cleaned up after the work was completed and old doors were set aside per my instructions and old openers and old door hardware were taken away at no extra cost. Systems work smoothly and new doors look great.

I've used Doorman multiple times on projects.  Always fair priced, good communication and follow-through, recommended.

Prompt and professional.

They did an excellent job on both the repair and the replacement of our garage door opener.  The repair went well (very responsive and came out the next day after I called).  The garage door opener replacement took about 2 hours and all is well so far.  I may add that they were late for both appointments so take this into consideration when you use them.  Perhaps they should add more time between jobs and call if they think they will be late.  We plan to use them again for annual maintenance.

I called them originally for the repair but asked for an estimate on a new door and opener. He was able to give me the estimate and I needed to think about it. He left without doing any work. He wasn't at all rude about my indecisiveness. 8:00am the next day I talked to Sean again and said I wanted to repair the broke door and install a new opener.i was home sick and hoping they could do it today. Bryan came out again, adviesed that the new opener would be a little more because the door was bigger. Bryan was very nice, explained war he did with the repair. I absolutely would use them again!

Very pleased. I called them over the weekend and left a message. They returned my call first thing on Monday morning, had someone out to do a quote that afternoon and then were back the next day to perform the work! I needed an opener installed in an RV garage - high ceilings and not real convenient to hang and opener from, but James did a great job! I also appreciated that they gave me the option of buying new or refurbished items. James (the technician) was very knowledge about his products. Great job!

I called at about 3pm and got an appointment for the next day between 10 and 11. James showed up promptly at 10. He was competent, professional, friendly, and worked quickly. He fixed the problem to our satisfaction.

Everything has been just perfect. He gave me a spray lubricant, and told me how to keep everything lubricated every month.

I called several shops in the local area the day before and received quotes that were similar. I selected The Doorman based on the quote and the initial information provided over the phone. They were able to come out the next day between 8:30 and 9:00. James from The Doorman was at our house on time and ready to go. He worked for nearly two hours, including describing my part options (I opted for larger wire diameter springs to increase service life), and demonstrating the system once the service was complete. I had spent some time researching how to do the spring replacement job myself, but am glad I hired it out considering the additional adjustment service provided by James. What took him an hour would have taken the better part of a day if I had done it. Based on what I had learned about spring replacement, James's recommendations were sound and the work quality was great.

Other than the electricity went out during installation(no fault of the installers, just lame electric company) everything went according to the plan that was laid out for us. Very professional, clean, and instructional. The garage doors that we bought were from Canada and were very well made. They qualified for Obamas energy rebate. The opener was a on the wall mounted opener that was whisper quiet. Good call by the sales rep Dennis. I would definetly recomend both him and his company.

Our garage door wouldn't open and after trying to figure out why, we realized that the coil had broken. In the course of trying to figure out what was wrong, we had messed with the garage door opener and it became apparent that it would need an adjustment as well. I called and left a message for The Doorman based on the reviews on Angies List. The next morning I got a call and was told that the technician would be out around 3 pm. Around noon I received a call from the office indicating that the person who made the appointment had "double-booked" the technician and that the technician might be considerably late, which I agreed to. At around 2 pm, I received another call letting me know that the appointment was going to have to be rescheduled for the next day. I was expecting the technician to arrive around 3 o'clock-ish and he arrived around 3:40 pm. I showed him what the problem was and he noted that the garage door on the third garage bay also was showing some wear and needed to be serviced. I didn't ask for an estimate, but just had him do the work that needed to be done. The technician was very pleasant and easy to talk to. He explained everything that he was doing and appeared very knowledgeable. I felt that he gave us good advice on what service to complete and what did not need to be done at this time. The cost of the repairs was reasonable and much less than I was expecting.

Our door slammed down the day before we were leaving for a week out of town- the cable came loose. We got back late Sunday night, checked A's List for providers and made a few calls on Mon. monring. Dennis at Doorman was responsive and had someone out within three hours. Our door was fixed by Jimmy, who was packed up and gone by noon. We're really happy with the job and to be honest, all three companies' estimates were very close. The reason we decided to go with Doorman was how nice and service-oriented they seemed on the phone. The other places weren't bad, but these guys just seemed to go above the usual and we really appreciate that. It's a shame, but that's become harder to find and makes a big difference to us. Will definitely recommend them to family/friends!

Got back from vacation and couldn't open garage to get car out and run errands. Called Doorman, they had a technician come out in about 3 hours. James was efficient and knowledgeable. He pointed out and explained previously installation errors and corrected the position of the bracket so the angle that the motor had to pull the door open wasn't so extreme. Provided me with an inspection and test sheet results. Fast and thorough work.

They were very prompt and professional from the time I called them until the job was done.

Doorman Services came out and installed new springs on the double car garage door. I was very happy with the response time of Doorman Services. They did a good job.
