Simply wow! I had what I considered to be a relatively small project of adding a railing to our outdoor steps. Within minutes of my posting my request on Angie's List (through Allpros.com) I received a call from Jimmy. He was very helpful in my thinking through options for a stair rail. The next morning, Michelle came out to measure the stairs. Shortly after, I heard from Jimmy with an estimate that was much lower than I expected, and a time frame that was faster than expected. I got a few other estimates, but none came close to Jimmy's in cost or delivery time frame. I worked with Jimmy a bit more wanting to understand exactly what he was proposing. He was very responsive to my numerous inquiries, never treating me like a small potential customer. Jimmy came out to test the fit of the rail a few days after I accepted his estimate and the rail fit almost perfectly, thanks to Michelle's excellent work measuring and fabricating the rail. The railing took a few extra days at powder coat, but Jimmy has now installed it, and it looks great! I would not hesitate to recommend Steel works Northwest for your metal work needs and know who will be my first call if I have metal working needs in the future.

Steelworks Northwest did a great job installing hand rails on my front and back porches. I was so pleased with the work, I asked them to come back and install a handrail by my front door. They were very professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them.

My metal rail needed new feet. Jimmy came promptly, took the rail to his shop, and reinstalled it within two days. Michelle is the star welder who did the work after hours. Very reasonable, friendly, reliable company. I highly recommend them if you need any rail work!

I had a small-ish job and Jimmy was very professional, timely and did a great job. I needed a repair to a frame made of large pipes and then painting. Jimmy came to my location in Tacoma and came ready to do the whole project in under 6 hours. I was very satisfied with work and the price was reasonable and what I expected.

They worked with me through bank issues. Their design was modern and very practical-couldnâ t be better!

The contractor was a horrible communicator. Would send pics of pieces that were being worked on at his warehouse, but he never committed to answering texts, emails. When called his voicemail is full. We paid 1/2 of the proposed amount and have not heard from him in the past month.

The company was none responsive. Multiple follows with the owner who did not answer his telephone, text messages, voicemail, or emails. It was a nightmare to lock dates and get the job started. Once started they did an okay job.

We hired this company because they claim that they will come out measure and make you a railing for your deck and your stairs that is to order. They promise that I will deliver the product in four weeks and then they will install. We understand that, due to COVID-19 and holidays, some timelines may be off. However, the simple fact is that they did not communicate they did not order the product that was requested and their install was sloppy at best. Now, they have actually ruined the deck that we had installed and the product that we have was not only not to order because they had to cut it here on site. The installation of the product has caused damage that has led to rust on a brand new white railing just within a few days. They did not cover their seams. Their screws are not flush. They did not pre-drill the holes. By not doing the simple tasks, what they have done is, they have actually caused damage to the wood on the deck that we had installed and repaired, and to the stairs. When we tried to call them (multiple times) prior to installation to find out what their timeline was, they did not communicate timely yet via text messages, email, or phone call. Then, they claimed that they would come to install they instead showed up with the product and brought no tools with them. We were beyond disappointed. We contacted them immediately after and saw they never responded back via phone text message or email. We have now had to take the unfortunate step of filing a claim with our credit card company. Communication is key, and this company is terrible at communication. While the rattling may have been pretty, they have totally ruined it by their lack of competent installation and follow-up. I would suggest to anyone who is looking for a product, that you do not order from this company. Not only is their customer service lacking,bu, they also just fail to have the common courtesy of following up with a customer that needs assistance. My husband and I were both here before they left. They did not come to check in with us, have a walkthrough, nothing. Additionally, we had other people here at the house when they walked around the backyard and took pictures, yet, they could not take the time to check in with us to find out if we were happy with the products and services. Avoid at all costs!

These guys are great. Probably the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.
