Pro-Tection Seattle installed film on all of our west and south facing very large windows in 2008. Our primary goal was to prevent furniture and floor fading as much as possible, and the film has performed amazingly well. We almost never close our blinds, even during the hot summers, and the only fading I have noticed after ten years is on a couple of bedroom throw pillows. We recently did some remodeling in our basement, and decided to add film to those windows as well. I highly recommend this company, their superior product, and their friendly and punctual employees.

From the estimate, to scheduling the appointment, to installing the film, Pro-Tection was amazing. Ron and his team were extremely courteous, professional, and prompt, and they did a perfect job installing the film - including on some hard-to-reach and odd-shaped windows. I recommend Pro-Tection for anyone who is looking to install window film in their home.

Due to new construction behind my house we had to resort to a quick fix for privacy. They were extremely professional and very timely in completing the job. 5 year warranty was also included in the price 9 large panes were covered. They also included a 10% discount .

The installation went well and we were very happy with the results. The type of film was new and works wonderfully. We can leave the blinds open to enjoy the view.
Unfortunately, small bubbles began to appear in the film after a couple of months. Ron Best came out with a rep from the manufacturer. The bubbles were a result in a defect in the film, all was covered in the warranty.
I greatly appreciate the fast response to my concerns about the bubbles in the film. There were no questions other than how to make arrangements to replace all the film.

My experience with Pro-Tection Seattle was very positive. The representative who came to our home to give estimates was very professional, providing options at different price points without any pushiness or hard selling. The products used are the leading films currently in the market. Installation was fast considering the size of the job. I am very happy with the quality of the product and the installation. There is significant demand for this company's services, so one would need to book them several weeks in advance if you have a deadline.

I had Pro-Tection Seattle install window tinting about 7 years ago and they did a great job, but the tinting was starting to look cloudy so I called Ron and he was out within a few days to see what was up. He noted that this film had been failing and that they would be replacing it at no charge. He also told me that I had purchased a warranty on the windows, paying for full replacement if any of the seals broke, as it can happen when you add tinting. Also, the tinting voids the manufacture's warranty.
His help was invaluable, as I thought I was going to have to pay to replace the windows, over $900, but that was not the case. He has continued to help insure I get paid by the manufacturer of the tinting and is actually coming back to do another window that too has a broken seal.
All along the process, from George to Bonnie to Ron, they have been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone looking to tint their home windows to avoid having everything fade. They deserve the A rating and then some!

I have a bay window in the kitchen which looks directly onto the street. Everyone walking by -- and my neighborhood has many walkers -- can see into our kitchen and dining area. I called Protection-Seattle, who sent an estimator out immediately. He said there was old deteriorating film on the windows already, perhaps for safety? (not tinted). About a week later, the installer came and did the job in about 2 hours. All went smoothly.
My only gripe is that the film seems quite expensive for what it is. The kitchen windows, which are pretty normal-sized windows cost more than $300. The estimate for the living room/dining room would have been $3000! We chose not to pursue that. I realize this isn't the Do-It-Yourself kind of window film that you buy at Home Depot, but still seems awfully expensive.

Our first contact with the company was at the Seattle Home Show, where we were very impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and product line. It was quite some time before we were ready to have the service performed. Ron went the extra mile to accommodate my request for a late-afternoon appointment to provide a quote, even though it meant battling traffic on a Friday afternoon. He clearly explained all the product options and their pros and cons with full candor and made a product recommendation, which we agreed with. We set the installation appointment for the following Friday, but there was a bit of a scheduling hiccup. These things happen, and the company bent over backwards to make it right. Installation was rescheduled to the next Friday. The installer was prompt (a bit early even), courteous, friendly, and professional. He did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the results. The natural light in the room is a bit dimmer, but soon we probably won't even notice it anymore. Most importantly, we noticed a significant reduction in temperature in both rooms and can now face the summer without fear.

We were recommended to this company by an associate of Selden's Furniture store that has had very good success with this company. All the employees, the quoter, the office personnel and especially Justin were extremely professional, on time and gave excellent customer service. Justin did an fantastic job of applying the window tinting and explained to our satisfaction any questions that we had. We will highly recommend them to anyone for doing an A + job.

Arch window is large size; unable to have blind built for this window. Came onsite for measurement and estimate; pricing was very good. Quick scheduling; install went smooth and quick; did a very good job. Highly recommended.

We were impressed when Scott came for the consultation -- he listened to us describe what we wanted and explained the different products available. After measuring our windows, he was able to create a bid on the spot -- no waiting. Although we'd gotten another lower bid from another company, we went with Pro-Tection because their products offered better protection from sun and heat. When the date came to install the tinting, Scott called to say that unfortunately the installer was very sick. We were disappointed, but he came a week later and we were impressed by his professionalism and his attention to detail. (Ishmael) It took several tries to get one of our large windows done perfectly, but he wanted to make it perfect. We were very happy with the work, and we definitely notice a big difference in temperature -- our rooms are at least 5-10 degrees cooler than they used to be without tinting.

George, the estimator, was very clear and gave us the options, both pro and con. Justin, the installer, appears to have done a beautiful job. The only reason for the "B" on price is that I thought it might be high, but since I wanted this company to do the work, I didn't get any other estimates.

We have lots of west-facing windows, and we wanted window films to cut down on glare and reduce fading of the cork floor. The initial estimate was very professional, answered all my questions, and provided me with sample of window films to choose from. Not a "hard sell" at all. The installation took a couple hours, he cleaned up everything, and the films look perfect on the windows: no bubbles, scratches, or cut lines are visible. The films do a great job. The room's a little darker now, but no glare, and we don't have to remember to put the blinds down. Very happy with them.

Everyone was very polite and professional from start to finish. They got me in for an initial estimate quickly and were on time for the first appointment. Ron went through the installation process and completely answered all my questions about the product. The estimate was a bit higher than we had hoped but worth it compared to the replacement cost of the furniture. (We purchased this product both for summer energy savings and to prevent fading on new furniture we had just purchased. The old sofa had faded from medium brown to a whitish color!) When I called for the install, they got me in within a week. The installer was a few minutes late, but called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He was neat and efficient about installing the film. He put down drop cloths to protect the floor and cleaned up everything before he left. He also made sure to show me where there were marks embedded in the glass that could not be removed before he put on the film so that I would know they had installed the film on a clean window. The film looks great - you can't see it at all - and the heat coming in the window is greatly reduced when it is sunny. Overall we are very pleased so far.

The process was smooth from beginning to completion. The estimating salesman was upbeat and knowledgeable and Eduardo, the installer, was very pleasant and completed the work in 7 hours. We are happy with the results and will be adding film to a few more windows. We have experienced severe carpet and furniture fading so the hope is that these items will last longer in the future.

First of all, the window-tinting film has made an EXTRAORDINARY difference in reducing the heat through large windows, from the summer afternoon sun. Pro-Tection was pleasant and professional from the start. A courteous rep arranged a visit for our estimate. George came by and gave us a detailed explanation of our options for various quality levels of tinting film, and broke down his estimate room by room, and for 2 different films, so that I could choose which rooms were the higher priority. He left behind brochures and samples, so that we could make an informed decision at our leisure. Edwin the installer arrived promptly, installed the film quietly, explained the invoice and lifetime warranty thoroughly, and appears to have done an excellent job. While the product itself seems a bit expensive for something that's invisible after it's installed, I would certainly recommend Pro-Tection Seattle and would choose them again, if I decide to tint additional windows.
