They were really good and did a good job. They did a really good clean up, came out on time, and did pretty good.
Description of Work: They did some landscaping for me.

The crew was delayed by a week because a hard freeze had prevented them from finishing their prior job on time, which was completely understandable. They were supposed to be a crew of 3 but there was only 2 because one of them had hurt his back. The 2 that came out worked hard and for full days, regraded the back yard in 2 days, dug all the drains in another 2 days, hauled away all the dirt from the regrading, reused what rock they could, brought in fabric covered drain pipes and rocks, brought in dirt to resod + the sod itself, and redid a small patio area for us with flagstone & sand that we threw onto the job at the last minute (cost us an additional $280 - we already had the flagstone). The original bid was for approx $3200. Their cleanup consisted of really cleaning up the area and ensuring the outdoor lighting worked after they were through digging around it. Isham Landscaping did not work over the weekend for our job, which we didn't have a problem with, and the whole thing took about a week, one Wednesday to the next Wednesday, to complete. Update: 5/2/2011 Now that we have had time to "see" what the regrade of the yard did - the regrade did not work. We still have standing water. Our yard, after the grass was removed and the regrade was attempted was clay so I think it would have needed a steeper regrade than what Isham and his crew anticipated. The yard just does not drain. I believe that the drains his crew put in work just fine. Water coming down from the hill does drain around the house. It's just the water coming straight down as rain is not draining. 6/21/2011 - My wife and I have spent quite a bit of time cleaning up after these guys - our downspouts were in horrible shape as we learned later after getting Gutter Glove. I would NOT hire these guys again for drainage issues for sure. Our yard is a lake when it rains STILL. They may be good at landscaping, I don't know but not at drainage.
Description of Work: We had a bad drainage problem in our backyard due to natural springs which left the lawn soggy all year long. We contracted with Isham Landscaping to dig french drains along the back and one side of the house and lay down sod. We picked Isham because his solution appeared to be the most thorough of the 4 companies we had out for estimates, and his pricing was the most reasonable. We had the work started in November because that was when we had the money for it and because all the extra rain we'd had was bringing a lot more mud into our kitchen than in past years (we have dogs). The solution that Isham Landscaping suggested was a regrade of the back yard to slope away from the house (it was sloping towards the house at the time), french drains from one side of the property to the other out past the lawn area and around the back deck, down the entire length of the house at one side where a great deal of the spring water seemed to want to go, and drainage extended out past the front lawn to the street where there was a street drain. It also included inspection of our drainpipes and downspouts.

I had had no previous experience with landscaping. Mr. Isham came to me through a referral agency. He was really outstanding, he made our mental image of what we wanted into a reality. There were complications which were out outside the scope of the project. When the plumbing concern I called in did not perform well he stepped up and took on that job and solved the problem (at a surprisingly reasonable cost). I have already recommended Isham Landscaping to several people and will continue to do so. .
Description of Work: Performed a complete landscaping project including a fence and drainage.
