Ray Brimhall is the owner, and the company is managed by his wife, she’s on top of things. His people are experienced and responsible, and we're very pleased with his work. He's unfailingly courteous and respectful, and wants to know how you want things to be done. For example, one man on the crew asked if he could bring in his son to help him on the job, so Ray asked me how I felt about. I said it was ok, and it turned out to be a really good experience, the worker was so appreciative and so was his son. I can understand if someone said no, but I didn't see a reason why to deny the opportunity for him to learn.

They showed up on time, very proffessional, very knowledgeable and helpful. Did an exceptional job and cleaned up after the work was completed. The owner was on site following up on workers. Very pleased and would hire them again.

Homeland Construction Specialists Inc was really, really excellent. He's very good and his subcontractors were very good. They got whole shower ready to be tiled and they added the opening to the bathroom. There was no door to the bathroom so they put the wall and the door in for us. They had to change some electric stuff for us. He's very fair and one of the few construction people that I know that is a man of integrity. He's very conscientious about his job. We're planning on building a home and we will probably be hiring him to do it.

We had an excellent experience witlh Homeland Construction, from the planning stages all the way through billing. Homeland provided excellent advice and guidance, while also ensuring that we met our goals and vision for the project. The work was high-quality, prices were reasonable, and billing was accurate.

We were able to work together to adjust to surprises and overcome obstacles one expects in an older house, while staying on schedule. We also had a great experience with all specialists and subcontractors involved in the project. Everyone brought into the project was was skilled, polite, and professional.

Homeland Construction Specialists Inc transformed our Kirkland cottage, inside and out. With Ray and Lynn Brimhall at the helm, the process went much more smoothly than expected, and our home looks wonderful. It has been an amazing process to see our home reach its potential.

Quality of Work – Workmanship is high-quality, with attention to structure/code, quality materials, and aesthetic detail. The updates blend well with the existing house for a cohesive and period-appropriate look.

Communication Skills – Our needs and vision were taken into account throughout. The Brimhalls have a knack for judging when to let the customer make the call and when to guide or suggest. Ray’s recommendation on cabinet providers (Huntwood), for example, set the stage for an amazing yet affordable kitchen upgrade.

Worksite Management – The process was well-orchestrated to enable steady progress. The worksite was kept swept and debris frequently hauled away, and everyone was considerate and respectful of our family.

Clear, accurate billing – The bills were clear and detailed, and we felt prices were reasonable. Despite multiple primary and secondary projects, and a few changes, we were never surprised by an expense.

Problem-solving – As little bumps or changes inevitably arose – as expected in the remodel of an older home - Ray and Lynn worked through them with patience and creativity.

Quality of Professionals Involved – Everyone associated with the project seemed skilled, personable, and trustworthy, whether as part of the contract or specialists they recommended. We’re grateful to have worked with so many terrific people, including plumbing, cabinet installation, electric, framing, siding, dry wall, tile, HVAC, painting, door installation, hardwood, masonry, and more.

We’re satisfied with our choice of Homeland Construction Specialists and wouldn't consider working with another general contractor in the Puget Sound. Our only regret is we are moving out of state, and this company is one of a kind.
