Surprised to see some of the bad reviews here because we've had only a great experience with Hayes. We had a much larger project than most people: we were makes some updates to our ADU and it was an opportune time to not only add a mini-split for the ADU but also make some non-trivial updates to our basement ductwork, which Hayes did at a reasonable price. Additionally, they replaced our house's dated heater with a heat pump (and secondary furnace). While we were waiting for work to begin we had them come service our tankless water heater because the exhaust outside our home smelled weird and they found moisture *inside* the unit (didn't charge us anything for the servicing since you can't service a unit in this shape). We ended up hiring them to replace that (by the way, they didn't switch off our hot water until replacement time - we were OK to use our old unit in the interim), which they did when they came for the other work. Additionally, they replaced the condensate drain pipe (several feet long) the previous homeowner had done a shoddy job and they were leaking (an issue we were aware of). I am not sure if they charged us for this in their original quote but am doubtful (as they were doing so many things for us the cost for this particular work was lower than my father in law, for whom they replaced a water heater for unrelated reasons). To add to all this: the crew was super professional and everyone was masked when interacting with us. I'm extremely happy not only with our new heat pump and mini split but with the ductwork (they made some adjustments for no added charge to improve air flow to our second story). Oh, and if that wasn't enough: there was an ugly hole in an old brick chimney in our basement used decades ago for an older heating system, which they cleaned out and filled in for us without any additional charge. Some contractors are a pain to reach, but not Hayes. Their office was easy to reach, as was our sales person, Bill, who was even easily available to us when I had a question after the install was done. Would certainly recommend Hayes to others.

Fantastic service. Glen was excellent in going over in detail the best options for replacing our hot water heater and furnace. Quote was straight forward. Office staff did great on follow-up. Installers did excellent work. Hayes Heating and Cooling is an excellent business. I highly recommend them.

Kiratan talks way too much. I don't care his personal life or finance matters. We rather like him to focus on our problem and fix it correct way. He did inspection but did not fix it correctly. Then he had to come back and fixed it with another inspection charge, unnecessary maintenance which his father Tim disagrees. The parts they use are so cheap and failed in 2 years.

Great! Lakewood city was doing work on the all main water lines. They did it incorrectly which allowed rocks, dirt and mud into our system. It flooded the new construction garage and ruined the tankless heater. Hayes came out immediately, wrote a report, worked with the manufacturer for replacement and helped us get retribution from Lakewood City.

They did a great job. There was a small issue with an outside air intake system that was allready there. Kirtan came out and was able to get it working correctly. Thanks to the entire team!

The furnace was not installed properly and lasted only four years. The heat exchanger wasn't installed correctly. It was done in a wrong angle direction. We had another company named brandon come and fix it and make some replacements. They also installed for us a better grade furnace and I think they were more professional. Hayes Heating also installed a furnace for my Father as well and the same issues for him as well. They over charged my inlaws. That is one company I would not recommend anybody out there to use. Overall they are lousy. I would not use them again in the future.

They have always performed well and they’ve always done the work for the budget that they said they would.  I’ve been very happy with the furnace they installed.  There was a little water leak but they came out and corrected it and it has worked well since.  I don't remember the details of the price, but I was pleased with it.

They replaced several parts in the furnace to the tune of $675+. The furnace still didn't work so I had to call them back out for another $100 part and another $100 in labor. Almost $900 later the furnace still doesn't work correctly. Since August when they did the quote (4 months ago) for the line repair they have either cancelled or "no showed". They scratched a new $3,000 stainless steel refrigerator and after another "no show" today I called and told them I would consult the Better Business Bureau for a more reliable and professional referral.

I would not recommend Hayes Heating/Ace Heating Inc. to anyone. I have been very happy with the products; however we did not like the people. One of the men was nice, but completely unprofessional. He left one of the rookies to do some of the work in my husband?s room and he drilled a hole in our hardwood floors about two inches away from the wall. Then he moved the drawers back on top of the hole so that we would not see it and they stapled the wire for the control panel along the wall. Well I cannot be in two places at once and I do not think that I should have to be. So when my husband came home and discovered what they had done and we were horrified. I have about ten huge holes in my ceiling that they left in my home and did not patch. These holes are so huge that I can stick my head in them. I know that they even fired one of the guys for the holes, but I think that the company should have known about it before they sent him out to do the work. The price for the work was adequate when we looked through all of the estimates. We chose to go with the company, because we were impressed with the sales person and they had all of the proper qualifications. They tended to come on time, sometimes being a little bit late.

This was the worst experience I ever had with a company in my life. Starting with the installation, which had to be done twice because the first one was so shoddy. The first installers cut a crude hole (see photo) in the top of the furnace because they couldn't figure out how to run the gas line. The second install the Hayes guy brought a base can and ran the gas line properly (see photo). 3 days after the second install we smelled gas in our house. Turns out the second installer improperly connected the gas flex valve so PSE had to come out and fix it. Over the next 13 months the furnace failed 6 TIMES! In Dec. 2007 it failed twice resulting in us not having heat for 9 days. Jan. 2008 it failed twice, no heat for 4 more days. This time the repair tech noticed that the condensate hose had not been connected since the second install in Oct.! That meant water had been dripping in the unit for 3 months. See rust spots photo. Now, water dripping in a furnace with circuit boards and whatnot, not good. The furnace failed again in Nov. 2008 and Dec. 2008. Resulting in us being without heat for another 7 days. Keep in mind Hayes never made any offer to reimburse us for added cost of space heaters or electricity costs since we had to heat our 2600 sq ft home with space heaters in winter. One good thing about Hayes is their 100% Guarantee. It says within one year of install, if you are unhappy with the product or the service you can have Hayes remove it and you get a full refund. My wife and I were stupid and trusted that Hayes would take care of us and stand by their product given all the problems that we had. I mean, any decent company, as committed to customer service as Hayes claims to be would, right? Not Hayes Heating. When we COULD get them on the phone, they argued. They offered a new Coleman furnace, but no guarantees beyond what Coleman offers. Given that either the Coleman furnace is junk and/or Hayes' repair service is bad, does this sound like a reasonable option? Not really, but we wanted heat so we were going to take it since Hayes would not honor the 100% Hayes Guarantee, eventhough the furnace had not run for one-year consistently and we had only passed the one-year by a mere six weeks. However when we didn't hear back from Hayes after 24 hours of trying to get an appointment to get the new furnace, and we had been in a cold house for yet another week, we hired Overlake Heating to remove the Hayes/Coleman fiasco furnace. Best $5K we ever spent. We tried to get our money back from Hayes through court, but the judge said since Hayes blamed Coleman for the problems we were having, and I made the mistake of contacting a Coleman representative to try and get anyone to fix our furnace, we had to call Coleman as defendants as well. With a baby coming, we may drop the case. But take this story as a warning. Hayes will not take care of you if anything goes wrong. They will make excuses or just not answer and you'll be out in the cold...literally.

The blower motor in out heater was making a loud squealing noise every time it came on. This was caused by the the bearings in the motor going out. They came in, did the evaluation and then had to order the part from an other office in town, so they came back 2 days later and replace the part. The only issue was that they did not replace the pressure switch and after the technician left the heater would not start the heating element. The return the same day that we called them and fixed the issue though.

Hayes Heating fixed our furnace after I had no luck in trying to fix it myself over Thanksgiving weekend. I found the number for Hayes Heating on the return air duct and gave them a call to schedule a visit. Two days later, Tim Hayes troubleshot the problem down to a bad transformer. He changed out the part and had the furnace running less two hours after arriving. It was obvious that Tim new exactly how our 17-year old furnace is designed to operate. He not only troubleshot the issue but explained how the furnace was designed to operate and why the transformer failed. I later learned that Hayes installed the furnace when the house was remodeled by the previous owner. It was really neat to have the same person come out to service the furnace 17 years after they installed it.

There were some minor problems - wrong furnace model, initially, and an installer who did not connect up the furnace properly. However, the company absolutely made good on everything that needed to be taken care of, including an agreement to come back and deal with a gas pipe to the old wall furnace that was removed as part of the project. Initially, it was capped off in the wall at floor level, they have agreed to return and cap it under the house. This company was extremely conscientious, especially when the work done by one of their installers (now former installer...) was not up to their standards. Very good company to work with, I would highly recommend them.

Excellent. Their bid came in at the middle of three bids, but Tim took more time at the house for the estimate and was willing to discuss alternatives. The work done was excellent and the crew very professional. More importantly, Tim really worked with my business partner and I on the installation. Because they were swamped with work this summer, the installation date changed a couple of times which caused us some difficulty with scheduling. However, Tim and his team were great about working with us to find a solution and then went above and beyond to get to the house and do the install. The office staff is also very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely use this company again and would recommend them with no reservations.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH ACE HEATING. THEY HAVE BEEN PROMPT AND EFFICIENT EVERY TIME I HAVE USED THEIR SERVICES. I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE MORE RELIABLE THAN THE COMPANIES PSE REFERRED TO ME. I PLAN TO ALSO USE THEM TO REPLACE OUR WATER HEATER SOON.
