FOAM RUBBER CITY

It was FABULOUS!!!!!  I was able to choose the fabrics for the chairs and pillows and to choose the hides for the kitchen chairs, piano bench and picnic bench.   The leather was used to cover and pad the chairs and also to pipe the sofa and club chairs.  The furniture all looks and feels amazing.  Earl was helpful and responsive.  The price was a little over half of the other estimates I received.  If I had more furniture I would have it done also.   I HIGHLY recommend using Foam Rubber City.

I am no Martha Stewart so this was a REAL challenge. I have two window seats - one in the master bedroom and one in my daughter's bedroom. The seats are 5' by 2 1/2 feet. The window and quot;seatsand quot; are carpeted with 16 year old carpet. So I decided to have seat cushions put on them. First, I went to JoAnn Fabric and purchased REALLY expensive upholstery. But it was JoAnn's that pointed me to Foam and Rubber City.
I emailed Foam and Rubber City about how much fabric I needed, if they could make the things, blah, blah, blah. Earl, the owner would email me each time.
Long story short... my daughter has a MONSTER cushion on her window seat that she can sit on while reading, playing guitar, looking out the window in complete comfort. Her cushion has 4and quot; of really great foam and in the color she request ($450). In the master, we just went w/ 2 or 3and quot; of and quot;goodand quot; foam ($160) since I just wanted it for minimal function but wanted to cover up the ugly carpet! Now I can sit and read in the box on sunny / lazy days.
What I learned. (1) I should have checked w/ Foam and Rubber City first about what they had in stock for material/fabric. After the fact, I saw a super cool fabric I would have picked over the one I used in the master bedroom. (2) Go with their suggestions. They know what they are doing.
I didn't pay attention to time. I went in to drop off the material and have them write the order. I would get a call about a week or two later. I never asked for a and quot;rushand quot; or preferance. Both the owner and his son are super nice and very easy to talk with. They are straight shooters and very personable.
I will back to them for any and all my and quot;cushionand quot; needs. By the way, they do more than cushions.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH FOAM RUBBER CITY WAS GOOD. THEY WERE VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS. THEY HELPED ME MATCH THE FABRIC TO THE CHAIR SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

COMPANY DID A SATISFACTORY JOB RE-UPHOLSTERING OLD SOFA AND LOVESEAT. HE DID A BETTER JOB RE-BUILDING THE FOAM CUSHIONS. WE HAD TO HAVE THEM RE-DO A COUPLE OF SEAT CUSHIONS STITCHING. RECOMMEND BUYING YOUR OWN MATERIAL FROM OTHER SOURCE. BETTER AT DOING BOATS AND AUTOS.

FOAM RUBBER CITY DID AN O.K. JOB. IT WASN'T AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER DID. WE HAD TO TAKE PARTS OF THE BOOTH BACK TWICE AND ITS STILL NOT SATISFACTORY. THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE THOUGH.
