Contour Countertops

I highly recommend Contour for anyone looking for excellent stone fabrication and installation. We are wrapping up DIY a complete kitchen remodel which required stone fabrication and installation. We were skeptical because of some dated poor reviews, on other sites. Saving $2000, the timeliness of completion, and more current reviews helped us make the decision to go with Contour. If I could give Contour more than 5 stars, I would. The service was top notch, the quality of fabrication and installation work exceeded my expectations. The backsplashes match the countertops, requiring two templates and two installations. Contour communicated with us every step of the way. One of their saws went down. Contour immediately let us know of the delay, which really wasn't much of delay at all. A crumb or spill will never find it's way between the appliances and counters. I did not want the behemoth slab on our island pieced, it is not. Fabricators without the expertise and equipment can not handle the slab on our island in one piece. We have enough remnants to install additional counter in our pantry and in a powder room. We took delivery of the remnants, and could choose another fabricator for additional projects. We will have Contour do the fabrication for those projects. We trust them, there work is excellent. For the DIYers who may not know. Material is purchased from one vendor, fabricated and installed by another. The stone supplier will not provide a price, just a price level. The stone price is sent to the chosen fabricator, who will quote a price for the entire project. Don't feel you have to use the stone yard where a fabricator sends you. We found our stone from another fabricator and had Contour quote and ultimately install our chosen stone. Contour gets all the stars!

Fine, other than they brought in a piece that was cut at a wrong angle and then tried to force it into the space and broke my drywall. I told them that it was unacceptable and that they would need to bring back the correctly cut piece. They did and completed within the next week.

I never write negative reviews. But in this case I need to warn people to stay away from Chuck and his company. I went to Low's for cabinets and contour countertops was referred to me by them. I had a good experience with Low's so I trusted them; big mistake on my part. The estimator came out, did his measurements then told me 4-6 weeks. I asked why and he said that the material I selected needed to come from Texas and from date ordered is 3 weeks then another 3 weeks to manufacture. I told the estimator that I gave Chuck via email several weeks earlier. I even got on the phone with Chuck and he said that he never got my materials list because his secretary quit. I sucked it up and 5 weeks later I get a call from contour countertops saying that my countertop broke and it will be another 6 weeks before they can have a new one ready. I literally drove to his office and sat there demanding answers as to how a countertop breaks. He said he had no clue. After an hour of digging to find the truth I learned that contour countertops farms out there production of making countertops to another company. I still went ahead foolishly with Chuck and sure enough 5 weeks later I get a call saying that they cant install my countertops because the only guy who installs is home sick. I asked for a new date for installation and Chuck couldn't give me on and hung up on me. I was so angry that I went to Lows and demand that they quit referring contour countertops to the general public. Chucks a nice man if you meet him, but a horrible business man. Stay away.

This has to be the worst company out there. Ordered countertops in February. They were to be installed in 3 weeks. Four weeks later, the installer realized they were made wrong. This was March 27th. The installer took the countertop back to the plant. Contour did not answer their phones or return any emails. Called every single day and they did not answer their phones. Got a call today, May 1st that they were going to install the countertops. Great. About an hour later, got a call from the same installer who said they made it wrong, AGAIN. They said they have to re-make our countertops a third time and no time frame when they are going to have it finished. Take your money somewhere else, worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. I still don't have countertops!

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE! Let me start by saying that I do not enjoy giving bad reviews to businesses. However, this company was given every opportunity to make us feel like a priority and also make things right in the end, but failed to do so. We purchased countertops through Lowe's, whom Contour Countertops is a supplier/installer for. Our order was placed on 11/8 and we were quoted a 3 week lead time, from that date, for completion. Lowe's called us the next day and said that our order information was in the hands of Contour and they would call us the next day to schedule. They did not call. We checked back in with Lowes after a few days, and they reached out on our behalf. We still did not receive a call until over a week had passed, and they could not get us on the schedule until 11/21. The gentleman who came to measure that day was incredibly rude, and was unable to answer any basic questions about the product, lead time, company process, etc. He continually responded with "that's not my job". He also took our new sink, that we planned on temporarily installing, with him. With a newborn baby, and not being able to use any of the rest of our kitchen, that was a huge and unexpected inconvenience. When our install finally happened, it was right before Christmas weekend...3 weeks past our originally quoted timeline for completon. The installers (who were the only positive about this experience) came out and discovered that the countertops had been measured incorrectly. They did return our sink, and also informed us that there was no reason for it to have been taken in the first place. So we were without a sink for over a month, for NO reason. The installers said that they may have product in stock to re-cut the tops and bring them back later that day, but decided it was best to re-measure and ensure things were done correctly. At that point, I called Lowe's to complain, asking them to intervene to help expedite the process, and to consider providing us a partial refund for our troubles. We spent a LOT of money on takeout food, as we did not have a functional kitchen. They stated that they would see what Contour was willing to offer for the inconvenience and base their refund on that number, once the install was complete. Someone came out to re-measure on January 4th. It took her over 2 hours to do so. Then we were quoted a THREE week lead time for the new tops. After a lot of frustrated phone calls and visits in to Lowes (we went in person because we weren't getting calls back, due to Contour IGNORING calls from Lowes), we finally got an install date for the new tops. We were given a 4 hour window for their arrival. The installers arrived 15 minutes AFTER the end of that window, and then were at our house for another 2 hours. No one called us to inform us they'd be late. In fact, during the last hour of the window, I tried calling Contour three times and was unable to reach the schedulers, nor did anyone return the voicemails I left. We did finally get the tops installed 10+ weeks after purchase, and 7+ weeks after we expected to. We then followed up with Lowes about our discount and were told that Contour refused to offer anything for us. Lowes gave us a $250 refund on a $3,000 order. It barely made a dent in the amount of money we spent due to not having a functional kitchen. We were pretty insulted by this and couldn't believe that Contour wasn't willing to make this right. I contacted them directly and received the response below from the owner... "Thanks for your note, your feedback is appreciated and has been discussed internally with the appropriate people. Our lead time have been extended due additional work been allocated to us by LG and Lowes. We have been adding more equipment and staff and installers to deal with the unexpected growth. With growth there comes some growing pains which we are working on. In regard to customer issues, our role is to provide the template, fabrication and installation. Lowe's does not allow us to be involved with pricing and customer relations. We replaced the L-shaped counter with a new one so as to not create other hardships for you and your family. The one we took out will be largely scrapped. The remake was put in the front of the line ahead of others. Please accept our apologies for the inconveniences, we wish you only the best." They acted as if they did us a FAVOR by completing the job they were paid to do, tried to make us feel guilty that they were scrapping product due to their OWN error, and still offered nothing to make us feel like they cared about the poor service they provided. I would never do business with this company by choice, and recommend other beware.

Great service from start to finish.  Very professional and responsive.  Two issues:  Contour's team was very busy and the fabrication took a week longer than initially estimated.  A defect in the Pental product was discovered after installation.  Pental and Contour were both reasonable and efficient in fabricating a replacement section of the counter.

It took them over 2 weeks to come out and measure for templates. They added almost 4 square feet to the surface areas which is considerable for $77 per sqft. I am another 4 weeks from that and STILL don't have any countertops. That being said they offered me a additional cut to my countertops free of charge for my trouble, I originally was very unhappy but I do feel they did what they could to ease my frustration. Now wiser about the process I would use them again but communicate with them more. I communicated with Lowes who contracted my order to them unaware that it stopped there, I should have been talking to contour. The whole process is overwhelming when your dealing with a large retail and contracted company that is overwhelmed with orders. But, again, I do feel Contour Countertops did do what they could.

Had an issue with the original laminate we picked.  Pattern did not fit the arrangement of counters, it was caught and fixed very quickly. We picked another pattern.   We had an issue with getting the job going on time...but when completed we were very satisfied with the work.  Ted was great on the first visit, and price came right where we anticipated.  The installer was very polite and explained everything we ask...he did a good job and we are very happy with the results.  We would hire them again.

The man was late arriving, but the main office kept informing that he was going to be late. Once he got here, he did a beautiful job putting the countertops on. He did some creative work around the windowsills as well. When he pulled out the old cabinets, he did pull them away from the wall and no one caught it. My son caught it after installation. I tried contacting them about this problem and they stopped returning my messages.

They were wonderful.  They live up to their promises; they do what they say they will do.  The installation turned out really good, you can’t see any seems.  They have a wide selection of products.

Their service was fine and they did a good job.  They were professional and the job came out just great.  The one thing we wished they would have changed would be to make the soap dispenser hole a little smaller.  They would contact us and keep us informed as to what was going on.

Their service worked out very well.  They did some sandstone tile in my bathroom.  They were very good about cleaning it up before putting the sealant on.  They spent a lot more time than anticipated, but they did a very good job.

They did a very good job.  They were efficient and left things in good order.  When I asked for a piece of the counter that they had cut out for the sink, they left it at the shop and it was there for us to pick up.  They were really helpful.

They were good.  We were recommended to them by the company that did our cabinets.  They were very helpful.  Part of it wasn’t measured accurately, but they came back to trim some of the window sill they had put in.  Other than that we had no problems.

Their service was good.

We had shopped all over for granite countertops that we felt we could afford. I had looked at various business and showrooms but didn't feel confident that I would get what I wanted at the right price. I had even made phone calls to several other granite businesses for information. At least 3 of the business that I left my contact info with did not even return my phone call. Needless to say, I didn't contact them again.

I found Contour Countertops through a salesperson I had spoken to at another business and who was by then working for Contour. She was able to show us some more affordable slabs and we found a very nice one that was a great match for our new cabinets. Nick, the production manager, contacted us promptly to schedule the measurement but we weren't quite ready. Our remodel project took much longer than expected, but Nick made periodic calls to see if we were ready. When the cabinets were ready for templating, Contour promptly came out and did thorough and precise measurements and templates. Once again our project slowed down and we weren't ready for the installation when the countertops were ready. Nick again patiently waited until we were ready to set the installation appointment.

The installer, also named Nick, and his assistant Corey did a fabulous job. They didn't mind that we watched  their every move and asked lots of questions. It was a fascinating process to watch. Nick explained what he was doing, why, and how to care for the granite. They stayed until Nick was completely satisfied with the job.

We love the countertops and would highly recommend Contour Countertops!

Our kitchen remodeling services were procured through Sears Home Services.  They contracted with Contour Countertops to complete this portion of the work.  Unfortunately, there were disconnects in the information provided by the salesman and what actually transpired with the contractors, so there were several anxious calls to straighten things out.  This in no way reflects on Contour Countertops--they did the job well and we were totally satisfied with them!

As for pricing, we paid Sears and did not receive a quote direct from the contractor.

The work turned out absolutely beautiful. The technician was very professional and careful with my things during the installation. They had a lower price than their competitor, and a great job. It was a good experience.

They were very responsive when we first called after reading their reviews here on AL, and continued to be throughout the project. We had been without a kitchen for about 3 months and were very anxious to get it up and running. They were sensitive to this and scheduled us right away with a turnaround time of only a week for the kitchen, and a few days for our bathroom. Their pricing was the best we found and we didn't have to sacrifice quality at all. I was especially impressed with their template Tricia. She was super knowledgeable, professional, and meticulous. The only small negative was that the installers chipped a small part of our kitchen wall when placing the stone, but it's easily fixed so not really a problem. We plan to use them when we remodel our master bath as well. We chose a beautiful white quartz product and it looks fantastic in our now-updated mid-century home. Couldn't be happier!

We decided to replace our countertops in the kitchen and three bathrooms with quartz and chose COSTCO because of the quality of their service and products. COSTCO contracted with a local company, Contour Countertops, to provide the materials and labor to complete the project. Contour has a huge facility with a large selection of granite and quartz products. We were very pleased with the service that we received from the company. Their representatives and installers were all knowledgeable and professional and made sure that we knew what was happening at each step of the way and that we were satisfied with the finished product. We are very pleased with our new countertops.

The work was terrific. The woman that came to do the measuring and the template was very professional and precise. When the guys came out to install the counter top, they were very clean and they explained the process to me thoroughly and they did not mind my dog.

They are very detail oriented, very competent and we were very satisfied.

They were prompt and they did exactly what they said they were going to do and when they were going to do it. They did a nice job. They did disclose upfront that there was some work that they were not able to do and that we would need to do that ourselves.
