They were efficient, on time, and did a great job.

Job quality very good. Forgot to install three extra roof vents. Forgot to include three extra soffit vents in bid. For extra $200 did soffit vents. Did roof vents per contract. Fixed-price carpentry bid sealed the deal. Carpentry involved more than expected, but did not jack up price. Cleanup poor. I had to ask the carpenter who installed the vents to do cleanup.

Timely, professional, although it leaked within a couple of weeks of the installation! They came back out and it hasn't leaked again, but we're crossing our fingers, waiting for the heavy fall and winter rains to see if we continue to have problems. They called and wanted to have us come back for a final "inspection." The inspection was that they wanted their money. The guy who showed up didn't know anything about an "inspection." We'd rather have been told they wanted to be paid and we would have done that, rather than take off work just to write a check.

You pay for what you get. They do good work. If you are new to roofing work, make sure you are getting what you are asking for. Make sure you know what you want rather than just ask for a new roof. There are things they can skip over if you don't ask about. When they started to do the end of day clean-up, their nail device was broken. So I ended up having to pick up a lot of the nails.

These guys were absolutely great. They came on time, and as soon as they got here, they were right on it! They never hesitated. They always knew what to do and definitely knew how to do it. I would definitely recommend them. My experience with them was excellent.

Protect your plants! They will trample all over them. Also try not to be home. It's very loud when they work. They were very fast in getting the job completed. They also did their best to clean up when they were finished.

We got three estimates for the roof replacement. Edgar, who gave us the estimate, spent a lot of time explaining the details of the estimate and answering questions. The cost of Chet's estimate was in the middle. Chet's started and finished the roofing project as scheduled. The roof tear-down and replacement took 3 days. The roof looks great and the crew did a great job of cleaning up. There was some miscommunication about when the gutters would be done. They never told us which day the gutters would be done. It was a couple days after the gutters were completed that they called us to do the final inspection. Chet's did a final inspection with us after the work was completed and answered all of questions about the roof.

They were fast, efficient and their quote was thorough and accurate. They had to schedule around some challenging weather. They completed the job start to finish in one day and clean up was absolutely fantastic.

The job started as a three week job and ended as a three month job. We are very unhappy with the job as a whole. There was never a supervisor on the site to make decisions and they just did things that didn't work. It was pretty much a nightmare.

They did a very good job putting my new roof on, they knew what they were doing and the roof looks great. They did it in a reasonable amount of time and the quality of their work was just spectacular.

Overall, I was very happy with them. The only weakness was that they didn't do a great job of cleaning up every night when they were finished for the day. It didn't frustrate me, but it did my neighbor. I haven't had any problems with them though. They were flexible with any situation I had. For example, I didn't want gutters all the way around and they did that well.

They did a great job with the new roof. It looks great and the people who did the work were very professional and friendly. They were very prompt as well and basically did a great job.

David called 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment to say he was lost. I wasn't surprised given our home is in a neighborhood that is hard to find, but I had made a point of telling the appointment scheduler it would be best if someone called for directions first. I called David 30 minutes later because I thought he was still lost, and learned that he had been outside the house, "writing notes." After a quick review of our roof, David determined that our cedar shake roof had been repaired many times before, and gave a very thorough explanation for why our roof should be totally replaced. I asked David to summarize his recommendation and give me 2 estimates. One for minimal repair work and one for total roof replacement. David said he would email an estimate that evening. It has been two weeks, and I've heard nothing from him. I chose this roofing contractor based on the great reviews on Angie's List, but my experience was decidedly different. I cannot recommend Chet's.

I could only see from an attic window and the roof looks good but I'm no expert. The outstanding annoyance is the lack of protecting the grounds before they started and the leaving the premises without their promised clean-up magnetically after they finished.

They came out sooner than I expected. They were courteous and very efficient. I was very happy with them.

David came out within a week of my initial call to provide a detailed estimate. Work started 6 weeks later. We were called in advance of the work. The workers were able to remove the old roof and install the new one in 2 days. They were very professional and protected our landscaping. The old roofing materials had to be manually carried to their dumpster on the street due to our limited driveway access. Everything was left clean. Jeffrey came on the same week for the final inspection and review with us.

I called for an appointment for someone to come and give me an estimate for repair work. The appointment was for approximately two weeks later (good thing it wasn't an emergency!). Rick showed up at the appointed time and gave me a good explanation of the damage that was done and the steps he would take to correct it. I was very positively impressed by him. He promised to drop off a written estimate the next day. When the estimate didn't arrive after a week, I called him. He said something vague about possibly having put the estimate into the mail instead. It's now six weeks later and I have heard nothing. I don't know whether this is an oversight or whether my job was just too small for them, but either way, I have a feeling that they don't really want my business. It's disappointing. I have since hired another company to do the work.

I called the Chet office several times without any reply and I finally wrote Chet a letter. Two new men come out, unannounced. They managed to partially destroy the new anchor point and left the cable attachment in an unsafe condition. They said they would come back but they did not return. After a couple of weeks and I drove to the Chet's office, and dropped off a letter to the owner requesting my money back. Chet the owner sent me a check for the full amount, $593, I had already paid. However, when I received the check it was not signed by anyone. When I later spoke with Chet he said to void the check and send it back to him, and he would send me a new, signed check, by "hand delivery". I later received the signed check via mail. My wife and I then installed a new anchor point, ourselves, and plugged all water leaks. The electric company came out and in about two minutes moved the cable line and reattached it to the new anchor.

They were originally very punctual, but I think there were some communication issues with the office staff.

I used this service becuase they had a high rating in Angie's List. I would highly recommend that nobody use their services now. I've never felt so ripped-off by a contractor before.

Great. This was during the bad storm in November, called them on Sunday afternoon and the roof was repaired on Monday afternoon.

They were the only company to promptly provide a bid (I contacted 4 from Angie's List and 2 didn't even call me back). Rick Parisien prepared the quote and the work was performed in one day and very professionally.

We were disappointed in Chet's communication and the work crew's lack of professionalism. The crew failed to protect our plants and shrubbery and left the work site a mess at the end of the day, with empty bottles, sweatshirts, nails and roofing materials littering the yard, our dog came in with a nail in his mouth. The second day on the job, one of the crew member's van broke down in our driveway and was not moved for three days. On Saturday, Chet's sent someone out to review the finished job and deliver our final invoice and we had to inform them that our roof was not complete. The crew did not show up to work that day. On Sunday, the crew did come out to finish the job. Monday morning, Chet's sent out someone to finish the ridge vent and flashing. I had to point out several small items that were unfinished. He told me I needed to write him a check before he completed the finishing work. I did not feel comfortable with this, but felt pressured to do so.

The work took one complete day. Work does look satisfactory. The shingles were delivered a little late, and that is why the job was completed after dark. There was some replacement of rotted 2 x 6. Overall, the job is satisfactory for the price. Because of darkness and a broken magnetic device to pick up fallen nails after the job, they missed about 50 of them. The crew was pleasant to work with and was able to answer questions.

Their estimate was much more reasonable than I was expecting. They were out 9 days after I confirmed the order and took 1-1/4 days to do a great job. They were punctual & courteous, and Reuben s crew worked hard until the job was done.
