Central Fence & Deck

I got quotes for the exact same brand, style and height fence from 5 different companies. Prices ranged from a high of $33,000 to Central's bid of just over $11,000. In the end the bill was a couple hundred higher because of unforeseen miscellaneous costs. I gladly paid them. Work started late December 2016 and they worked through January, even in the snow. Workers were on time, courteous and hard-working and the work they performed was and still is METICULOUS. I've waited this long with a review to make sure the fence held and it has. These guys are precise. When you eyeball the posts, even now - nearly 10 months later - they are all in the same line and plane. Absolute perfection! They even custom welded part of the driveway gate because our driveway is at a slope; they did not charge for that (while they definitely could have) We continually get comments from passersby about how well it looks.

( they showed up and produced an acceptable bid with acceptable language) Kyle bid the job and tear out.  Kyle built the structure. A team of workers completed the finished work. I did address any construct/ board cuts that I thought were not quite right ( not many ). The team was very quick and responsive to reworking or explaining and provided good quality finished work.  the timeframe was influenced by supply such as: the glass inset is ordered, measured and supplied by a glass company. I am very pleased with the finished product. I am very pleased with the effort made to provide me materials options/choices at a reasonable price and a company that listened and addressed my issues promptly.

I could not get Renn to commit to a start date.  He gave me one excuse after another this went on from May 22 2015 till July 27, 2015 till he finally admitted that he was over  his head and did not know what he was doing, at that point I found a different contractor. I will never get back the time I wasted with this provider.

The fence is still standing and is of adequate quality, but below were my complaints to the contractor and he refuses to address any of them.
      -Reimbursement to me for the cost of the paint which you will be receiving from paint company.  ( I originally asked to have a protective product painted on my fence that would maintain the original beauty of the wood, but would also protect it and keep it from greying.  By March 2015, I had large portions of my fence that were grey.) 
        -Filling in the areas on my fence that a dog can get under. 
        -Re-painting my fence. I told him I would pay only his cost. 
        -Replacing a few boards that had  become twisted. 
        -Placing additional nails in loose boards. 
The owner came out to inspect my fence in May of this year and has taken no action to rectify the problems discussed at that time despite repeated requests from me in the form of phone calls, emails and a certified letter.
I contacted WA State and was told this contractor has several complaints against him.  He had no complaints against him when I contracted with him to build and paint my fence.

it was difficult to get a response initially from them, but the work was completed on time, in a professional manner, and the quality was excellent. my neighbors split the cost of our shared fence, and when they saw the workmanship, they hired Central Fence that day to do the rest of their fence (over 90').

There was miscommunication early on during the appointment process, but once we agreed on scope, they were very professional and provided me with a fair price.  Work and craftsmanship were good and they even went the extra mile in making sure everything that the City of Kent needs for the permitting process were satisfactory!  Will use Kyle and his team again!  Thanks!

From start to finish Lynne was extremely helpful, responsive and professional. The installation of my new fence was scheduled and completed very quickly. I love my new fence and my yard was immaculate after the installers left. The price was more than fair and my new fence is beautiful! I would highly recommended Central Fence and Deck to anyone.

Lynne came out and took measurements. I gave her a list of our homeowner's association requirements for fencing and explained the modifications that I needed. She made some helpful suggestions for fencing close to a small tree that we did not want to move. I received a full bid from her via e-mail 2 days later. I gave her a call an she had me on her schedule for the following week. The workers who came out to put in the posts were prompt and professional. They explained to me exactly what they were doing and what the timeline would be. They did a great job with the posts and cleaned up after themselves. The posts cured in the ground for 2 days and the workers were back to install the fencing, again they were prompt and professional. They kept me informed of their progress as the day went on. They were short a couple of hinges for the gate and returned the first thing in the morning to complete the gate. The finished product is great, better than I anticipated. I am completely satisfied with the entire experience and wouldn't hesitate to use central Construction Fence and Deck again and I highly recommend this company.

It did take a little longer than I would have liked for a response to my email (it usually took about two business days when conversing over email), but it was all worth it. The staff were very professional and worked with us a little on price. They came out to give us a quote on a weekend, which was great and we had an estimate by about Tuesday. The foreman was professional and talked to our neighbor about their dog (even after we notified them the week prior about the project start date) so we didn't have to talk to them again. The crew of two guys arrived on time and got right to work each day. We were quoted about 4-5 days for completion and it took the whole five days.
Afterward, we inquired about staining (because we have no time to do it ourselves) and decided the cost was too much. Lynne, who we worked with on the business side of things, even gave us some tips for staining when we declined that service. A bonus is they accept American Express, which wasn't listed on their Angie's List page. We'd definitely hire them again and highly recommend Central Construction Fence and Deck!

This company was a hassle to deal with from the get go. I had to follow up TWICE to even get the bid, then they completed the work in juts two days and the haste in their work showed. They left a huge mess with nails in the yard and wood scraps everywhere. They did come out to clean up the mess after I called and complained. After close inspection of the work I came up with a laundry list of issues that needed to corrected and I had to have the business manager come out personally to go over my list of concerns regarding the quality of the work. They did send a crew out to make the fixes but the workers seemed to lack knowledge of the product the were working with ( they could not figure out how the Trex floor boards of my deck attached as they have invisible fasteners underneath- and these are supposed deck EXPERTS???) Nor did they have the attention to detail in regard to the finishes. Boards were nailed with nail heads sticking out, they used nails on the handrail instead of screws causing the wood to start splitting, corner joints were not flush, 1/4 inch gaps where the railing met the support post and screws coming up out of the floor boards. It looked like the handy work of a amateur at best. My husband could have done a better job. This company was also supposed to paint the deck but have not responded to my emails or calls inquiring when this part of the job will be finished. We eventually had to go with another painting company in order to get the job complete. Based on the service, response time and overall quality of the work I would absolutely NOT recommend this company.

On the original date of the job, they did an overall good job, and very time efficient with quality work.

There was a misunderstanding to what and quot;dog tightand quot; meant, as far as how the bottom of the fence met the ground. They sent James today to fix the fence bottom as it should be, and he did a great job. The fence is perfect now, and is very sturdy and very nicely done. I would recommend them definitely.

WOW!!!!....Absolutely awesome job done by this company, there is not enough words I could say about this company and how they handled everything with me. The day they showed up to start the job all h*** was breaking loose inside my house, and then there was a misunderstanding with where the new fence line was gonna be on one side. It was a really bad day the first day they came out, and I think I snapped at the guys because I was so stressed out about the misunderstanding and the other problem I was having inside my house. To make things even worse, I had to deal with all of this while I was at work and my wife was home stressed out just as much as I was.
I talked with the boss lady:) on the phone that day and then meet up with her the following morning. Man did she bring me at ease, she was so accommodating and so understanding on what was going on. She helped bring my stress level way down, and by the time I was done talking with her I had no worries about my fence.
My fence looks amazing, I absolutely love it. Good job all around with this company. All the good things you could say about a company, you could say about this company. Thanks guys!!!!
If you need a fence company that put you at ease, and not have you worried about your fence....Central Construction Fence and Deck is your company to go with!!!!
That price was for my wife and I's cost of the fence, we have neighbors in the back and on the right side of our house. The neighbors on those sides paid half.
