BOB AND ED'S PAINTING

• My home was empty and vacant for 1 month, so I worked out a deal with Paul to paint the interior of the home before we moved in. I gave the access to complete the job between their other work, with the understanding the job would be done by the time we arrived at the end of that month. Here are the specifics of what went wrong...By the way, Paul would not return my calls to discuss.
  • 1. Over spray ruined carpet in 2 rooms, plus my stairs.
  • 2. The job was not complete...they missed the timeline.
  • 3. They sprayed the walls and left thin spots where the old color was visible.
  • 4. They sprayed the ceiling and touched up with the wrong color white...I believe that they thinned the paint to spray and then when touching up the colors were significantly off. The entire ceiling needed to be repainted.
  • 5. They unplugged my refrigerator, left their food in it to rot. There was disgusting mold, smell throughout. It took 1/2 garbage can to throw out their food...and a long time to clean.
  • 6. Someone used my master bath for their personal use...not sure if they slept in the house too.
  • 7. Painted the wrong color in one room.
  • 8. Did not clean the home at all...it was covered in dust.
  • 9. They left 15 cans of paint in my garage.
  • 10. Paul chained his dog outside my home...it annoyed my neighbors.
  • 11. I can go on, but why.

Work was done beautifully. Would use again. Build in a few extra days for completion out from the estimated time. We repainted the same color and the color matching was spot on.  Price included materials. Anyone who's painted in the neighborhood has used Bob and Ed's.

I was a bit scared to use Bob & Eds at first, but they were great. I had not done any research on the quality of their work, but they had a good price. Paul called me up and let me know the team could begin immediately, which exceeded my expectations. The team work super hard, always asking for feedback along the way. They came back to follow-up on the details of the paint job and fixed the issues in a timely manner.
I will definitely recommend Bob & Eds in my neighborhood. I am having them provide me with an estimate for some interior work.

I suppose they are assuming that we would pick up the phone and call due to their lowball price.  Several problems.  Because we didn't meet them they don't know about a structure in the backyard that should be included in the estimate.  They wanted to use
Sherwin-Williams Resilience so that they could paint in the rain.  The estimate had discounts for starting work in a few weeks.
Well in my area, it snows in April.   I won't hire anyone that paints in the rain.  Any professional painter should know that paint doesn't adhere to surfaces in high humidity.  The Resilience paint is to prevent mold and mildew on painted surfaces AFTER it is dried.  

Came by the same day i asked for an estimate.  Job was completed on time with a lot of attention to detail and asking for my approval along the way.  Obvious intent to satisfy customer.  Painters were here long hours in order to beat the oncoming bad weather.  They were very professional and hardworking.  Left my yard neat and orderly each night before they left.
Overall very satisfied and would definitely use them again.  Every neighbor on the block came to complement me on the beautiful job!

Update to present - called for an estimate on some interior painting.  It was three weeks before they returned my call.  Made an appointment to come by for an estimate.  Never showed up, never called to cancel and did not answer or return my call when I asked them to reschedule.  Not very professional and i missed a day of work waiting for him to show up!

I called Bob and Ed's painting to get an estimate on this job.  Since no one answered, I left a message and contact information.  Three days later I get a call back around 8:30pm on a Saturday night from Paul.  He left a message on my phone that he could come over in 30 minutes or the next day (Sunday).  I called Paul back on Sunday morning and got voice mail again.  I left him a message that he could come over that day and to let me know.  I didn't get a call back until Tuesday morning.  At that time, we agreed for him to come over on Thursday at 7pm to do the estimate.  He never showed for the appointment nor did he ever call.  I hope he's okay.  If so, I guess he didn't need my business.

Love these guys.  They did a great job, worked hard and cleaned up well.  They even put our new front door hardware on for us.  Will use again!

They arrived when they said they would each day and completed the work as promised.  The price was exactly as stated on the estimate. On the final day, they saw some areas that they felt needed a touch up that we didn't even catch.  They were very pleasant to deal with and we have already recommended them to a friend

The team of painters (about six or seven) was very nice, polite and had excellent attention to detail. The entire team was there for three days, then suddenly disappeared on the fourth day - with only one painter coming for a couple of hours both that day and the next. I expect they signed another job, and wanted to start on it; however, they should let you know and not just "disappear". So, instead of taking four days, it took seven. We are very pleased with the work they did though, and would recommend them and hire them again.

Went pretty good considering the weather, they had to come back a few times to touch up since we had a lot of rain. One time they let my water on for several hours. I didn't have to put any money up front and was able to pay half in cash and half on a credit card.
