We met with the rep from Albuquerque on Feb. 13 who conducted a complete inventory of all that we were intending to move and gave us an estimate based on the weight and distance.  It looked like the move was going to cost about $12,000.  We scheduled the move for March 13th and began the arduous job of packing.  The Albuquerque staff were always available to answer questions and offer suggestions...friendly and helpful.  On March 13th, the van arrived and we are both amazed and heartened, not having any experience with a professional mover in the past, with the incredible speed and efficiency of the work crew who were clearly very skillful in organizing and moving anything and everything, from boxes to large furniture pieces.  The van driver as we learned, is the "captain of the ship", responsible for all the logistics at both ends of the move, and our driver was absolutely superb...friendly, considerate, personable and most of all, clearly highly skilled at both selecting and supervising the crews at both ends of the move, and who assured that our stresses as the customers were minimized.  The move into our house in Washington was more demanding since it is a 3 story house, but the crew again was friendly, considerate, helpful and worked with speed and efficiency.  There was no damage to house or our goods and the best was left for last.  At both ends of the move, the work was done on time and in amazing speed and efficiency.  During our move out in Santa Fe, our driver was convinced that the estimate of weight was much too high and his knowledge based comment was right on.  Instead of a harsh shock of unexpected expense, our move came in much lower than had been estimated and we came out substantially ahead.  Moving at any distance is a challenge and a huge stress but we are very grateful to Atlas for making the major part of it as painless as possible.  We recommend this company highly and would absolutely use them again.  Hopefully however, we will NOT be moving again any time soon!

They were good. They gave us a free estimate and were very conscientious. They worked quickly and packed all of our arts. We had no problems with them.

It went pretty well overall. They did a nice job packing things, they moved everything well and nothing got broken. We still have one missing set of table legs that we haven't located, but I'm not blaming that on them. They were friendly and efficient, but their bidder and moving crews had two different ideas of what was possible. We ended up needing two trucks instead of just one. They weren't completely clear about the timing of when all the cars on the street needed to be moved, but they also did a great job packing.

They were very professional, prompt, careful and pleasant to work with. They would always thing things through before moving something big and would put down the appropriate protection to make sure they didn't damage the walls or floors. We were satisfied.

I called to make an appointment for an estimate, and set up a time with Rob within 2 days of my call, a Friday. On the day of the estimate, I waited 30 min. Before calling the company. They had recorded my phone number incorrectly, but Rob said he'd stop by on his way home that evening. We did a walk-through, and he gave me an estimate of $975 for 8 hours for a weekday move. I called him on the following Monday to give him confirmation and set up a moving day. It was set for Friday of the same week between 8AM and 9AM. He also dropped boxes and moving supplies off at my request with no charge. On moving day, 2 men showed up at 7:30AM and started moving. They wrapped door frames and stair handrail, furniture and the TV and laid down floor covering both on hardwoods and carpet, and provided wardrobe boxes for clothes. At the new house, they prepped the same way, and were finished unloading in 6 hours with no breaks and nothing broken or damaged.
