I was told the car was low on oil, to check the oil once a month, or come by and they would check it. When I think of what I am thankful for, toward top of my list is the Hi-Land/Highland Garage. It has given me a certain peace of mind over the years to know there is an auto service establishment that I can depend on to take care of my car. I have one car, and it has been crucial to keep it in good running condition. The Highland Garage has a crew that excels in diagnostic acumen and excellent work. They have gone out of their way many times to keep my car running well. They take time to fully explain what an upcoming repair entails, and the prices are fair. Only needed repairs are recommended to be done. A great home-grown auto shop.

They are perfect. Very good. They are very responsive. My granddaughter has an ancient car and they are very good about telling her what to do with it and what is going on. Their estimates are less then other companies.

Easy to make an appointment; service guy very courteous. LOF was no problem, but diagnosing the warning light may be a problem. He asked if we would approve up to $100 to look into the problem and we did. When we picked up the car, he said the light did not stay on long enough to diagnose the problem...so he did not charge us for that. Told us to keep an eye on it and bring it back if the light came on and stayed on for any lenght of time.
We feel very comfortable to bring the car back to Hi-Land for service or repairs in the future.

This review is because I was prompted to provide one. I have used Hi-Land several times. I have found them to do good work and do it in a timely manner. On one occasion the owner helped me late at night. I called to leave a message and the owner picked up the phone then stopped by my house to help me on his way home. They have also suggested cheaper band-aid fixes on one or two occasions when no significant damage was pending by prolonging the more expensive and complete fixes.

I think they have been in business since the 50's. I have been using them for several years, probably since the 80's and they do excellent work. They do not try to talk me into something that is not required for my vehicle, so I would rate them at the top of the list as far as dealing with the business with an automobile. I will use them again and in fact I have them lined up to do the oil and check up some other things.
