Cut Above Inc

The experience was kind of a nightmare. They didn't get any permits from the city to start work so halfway through the project, the city came and stopped work and we had to pay double the price for our permit in order for them to get started again because they had not gotten it to begin with. The engineer had to come and babysit them the entire time because they're not building the wall through the construction code. They had dismantled the walls 2 or 3 times because they were building it incorrectly. They were pretty nice in the beginning but the foreman basically told my wife to butt out of their business because she was seeing them spending too much time because they have to keep dismantling the wall because they are not following the plan. Overall, I would not recommend them. The pricing was pretty good, and they got here when they said they would.

100 ft long 6 ft tall retaining wall. City required permit and engineering. Company neglected to get the permit, city put a stop to all work until permit was acquired. City charged us double the permit price as a penalty for starting without one. Engineering company had Cut above take down the wall twice as they were not following the plans. Cut Above foreman told us to quit checking on their work because we were causing them to spend extra time finishing the job with all the corrections. 2 week job took well over a month to complete.

I had a leak in my irrigation gates and requested an estimate to repair. It took awhile for the company to send a person to check the trouble, but this time of year they are very busy. Paul arrived at our residence and found the problem within minutes and after some digging and an explanation as to the cause and how to prevent the same problem with the other gates that I could fix myself, he was finished. Some repairmen would try to sell you new equipment or replace the gates at a high cost to the customer but Cut Above company was honest enough to fix a simple problem at very little cost. Paul was a very nice man, easy to understand and helpful. Once I find a company that has integrity and caring for the customer's cost and least expensive way to solve a problem, I become a loyal customer. Cut Above is my choice for any work relating to irrigation issues.
