After living with a tacky painted deck for many years, I desperately needed a deck remodel before a family picnic. I heard about Ryan Orthman of Alpha Building and he came out to look at the problem. I started with old original deck pattern, but he showed me options for improving it, including materials and designs that I definitely wanted after seeing how the options would keep me from having to maintain the deck in the future. After ordering and delivering the material he completed the job in time for the gathering. The deck is large and he did all the metal work for the handrails rather than using the decking material so I can see through the black railing into the yard. He extended the patio underneath to match the new footprint, and then acid stained the concrete. It is so much more than I initially thought I was going to have built, but it was well worth it, it's like having an outside treehouse room and all the relatives loved it! I'm going to have him do additional metalwork for me in the future too!
