All West Floor Coverings & Cabinets LLC

Our experience with All West Flooring was very bad. Our home had been flooded and needed major repairs plus we decided to have the entire interior painted at the same time since so much of the house had to be redone. The kitchen floor was one of the first items to be completed. It was done very well and we do not have any complaints with it. The flooring in the three bathrooms were next. The master bath had obvious bumps under the vinyl. After hearing many excuses from both Jerry Cowden and Sam (do not know his last name) we finally had to insist that the floor be corrected or we would have to deduct the cost that we would have to pay to have someone else come in and do it properly. The floor was reluctantly replaced. The carpeting was completed next. The carpeting in the master bedroom was installed with thin and cheap padding, not the extra thick padding we wanted. The carpeting had to be removed and the correct padding installed. The next thing was installing the laminate in our hallway and family room. Sam said they had laid miles and miles of laminate flooring. The floor had uneven edges and poorly performed finish work. Sam said it was because Pergo flooring is of poor quality. We contacted Home Depot about their product. They said we had received some faulty laminate. They sent someone out to replace it. It was determined that the floor had not been leveled before All West had done the original installation. A leveled floor is required to install laminate correctly and All West should have known that the laminate was faulty and not completed the installation. Finally came the painting. Many walls were painted so poorly that we went around with the painters to show them missed spots many times. The walls were much lighter than the initial painting around windows, corners, ceilings, etc. They reluctantly repainted some of the walls. Jerry Cowden and Sam made many excuses as to the final appearance. The paint now comes off with the slightest of bumps and looks old even though it is less than one year since it was painted.

The owner was timely when giving an estimate, and was able to provide me with a written estimate within a few hours. The workmen showed up on time and started working right away. Already assembled equipment was put rite to work, while another employee assembled equipment that would be needed next. Best of all they finished on time, and they finished under the estimate. Any floor work I need to have done i know right where to go.

Only one coat of paint was applied and it did not cover completely. The vinyl installation was poor. It had some bumps, divots and points. The tile work was excellent. Some glue from the vinyl install was on the carpet but was cleaned up.
