Travis did a great job! He was prompt, professional and paid attention to aesthetics. He went over a couple scenarios on layout of the tile to make sure we would be happy with the plan before he got started. We are very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend him to anyone with a tile project.

Travis retiled our fireplace and people cannot stop commenting on how beautiful it is! He came over to assess the work and gave me great advice on tile layout. I had already purchased some tile and he mentioned going to Seattle tile to look for slate for the hearth. I planned to go over to shop within a few days but Travis actually went himself and brought by a bunch of wonderful samples and coordinated the purchase. He was quick and professional and very reasonably priced. Will definitely reach out to him if we have another tile project and highly recommend him to others!

Travis did a fantastic job on our small backsplash and I’m kicking myself for not having him give me a quote for our master bathroom while he was here.

Travis is a true professional who completed the work to a very high standard. We couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. We are recommending him to friends and family and hope to have him back for more work in the future.

Travis was very professional and friendly. He came up with suggestions and solutions when needed. Once he started the job he worked fast, meticulously and efficiently so that we could have our house back as soon as possible. He was also careful to cover the floors he walked on and cleaned up each night when he left.

Travis was very professional and once his day started there was no stopping him! He was super motivated to give us back our house. He made sure to lay floor covering wherever he worked and cleaned up after each day. He was very meticulous when measuring for spacing so the tiles were placed perfectly. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family!

I am an out of town owner of this house so I was a bit hesitant on having this work done in general since it was a major job. After reading reviews of Travis working on older homes, I decided to contact him and then ended up contracting Travis to do this project. I left it up to Travis to find the tiles that would work and fit in the time period of the house. He found the perfect type of tiles that fit the period but with an updated color that is more timeless (white and gray vs original color tiles which were green, pink, purple and black). Travis had great communication correspondence throughout especially since there were tenants and a property manager which all had to be informed on when he was coming to work and how long the job would be done etc. Travis sent me pictures of his work in progress. I have not been able to see his actual work "in person". However, I had my siblings (who live nearby) go to the house and check out his work. They said he did a very nice job and the quality of his work was excellent as well. Needless to say, when I have my kitchen floor re-done, I will definitely contract w/Travis to get this floor done too.

Travis was very professional.  Because it was a small job, we did have to wait and fit into his schedule when he had time.  However, he was worth the wait.  He was meticulous and the tile is seamlessly integrated.  You can't see the transition from the old to new tile at all, and the top of the tile ends perfectly without any weird cuts.  This took a lot of planning and attention to detail.
We felt totally comfortable leaving Travis at the home with access to the front door lock, etc.  He was wonderful about communicating with us about the progress of the job.  He is super friendly and easy to work with.
Travis went the extra mile to install the shelf I had picked, which did not come with the right mounts or any instructions.  He is very handy and helpful.
He has suggested a trim piece to be added to the edges, and we have decided to move forward with that next detail, as well.
I highly recommend Travis for tile work.  He is professional, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.  His price reflects that level of professionalism.

I have a 1931 house and I wanted to keep the existing green and black tile. So I was trying to sort out this old bath without having to retile the whole thing.  Kind of an odd job...lot of various things to do.
1)I had old 1931 black tiles and some new I purchased to blend with that.  All the trim need to be added as the floor trim all the way around.
2)White trim needed to be added to the front of the tub because the black trim in front of the white tub would be wierd and too contrasty.  However, there was nothing to secure the tile to the front of the tub. Nice.
3) At the the back of the tub was this gap between the old steel porcelain tub and the wall about 4-5", and the tub had this metal lip that stuck up.  So there was a support that needed to be cut and built, the stone cut and built.   So we're talking about cutting wood, stone, tile, there's no map, no pattern, the tub is shifting around.  But by now I've been living in this house for three years and I know nothing is straight and everything has to be jimmied and I'm pretty used to that.  I read Travis's reviews and it seemed that he had worked in old houses and had done a lot of work that covered a lot of various things.  We did a time and materials invoice to allow for the variances.
Anyway...it turned out beautifully.  I had just enough tile.  He blended the new and old well. Covered the blemishes.  Secured the bathtub, fixed the back of the tub. Blended the stone and it all looks great. Like it was meant to be. The bathroom isn't as cold which is nice going into the winter.  So I am very pleased. It looks better than I thought it would. Travis was great to work with and very pleasant and would check in with me if he had to be at another job, etc..  He is busy, so I would schedule ahead.

My project was to demolish my kitchen tile backsplash and retile.  I got three estimates and Travis' estimate was $800-$1000 more than the two others.  In spite of the disparity in prices I chose Travis because of his good reputation on Angie's list and his asserted confidence in tiling with custom tile.  The finished product is lovely.  But I think that Travis would agree with me, that the process should have gone smoother.  The pattern I picked was complex and with the dimensions of the custom tile deviating from one tile to the next, it was not a job for the faint hearted.  While setting the tile, it was very easy to get confused and Travis did.  I asked Travis to correct the mistake and after his initial frustration, he willingly reset tile that he had already installed.  But unfortunately he had to do this several times.  Because he had to reset the tile, the project took longer than either one of us expected and we both chose to work very late one night to get the project completed so that I could have a working kitchen over a long three day weekend.  The tiling was finally completed about 12:30 in the morning.  We were both exhausted.  The final bill was about $100.00 more than the estimate.

I would rate the process a "C" with the caveat that I could be responsible for part of this rating because I chose such a complex and somewhat random pattern and wanted corrections.  But of upmost importance, I would rate the end result an "A".

We had hexagon tiles made locally from recycled glass.  Needless to say, they were neither uniform in shape nor thickness. Travis took on this challenge with confidence and, as you can see in the picture below, installed them expertly.  He was professional, patiently attended to detail, remained engaged and enthusiastic in the project, and tolerated my hovering easily. Each person who has walked through our kitchen has commented on the beautiful job he did.  We would highly recommend him for your tile work.  However, we are going to need him again in about 2 months, and he is in demand.  Hey, Travis! Put us on your schedule for our next project!

Travis was awesome.  This was our first reno on our condo.  Unfortunately, when we bought our condo most of the materials were builder grade.  As Travis is plugged in with other local contractors, he helped us to source someone for our bathroom countertops.
Additionally he recommended a plumber when it looked like we needed a new tub.  Unfortunately, we couldn't get his guy in soon enough and had to go with another plumber.  Thankfully we had Travis to help us and to alert us to this plumber's shoddy work. We could not have finished this reno without him. Travis' knowledge and patience was a real asset to us as we were stressed with the reno.  (one bathroom with a shower means we were showering at the gym during the whole reno)
Unfortunately, as mentioned we had setbacks with our plumber, but Travis worked hard to finish the rest of the work in a timely manner with higher grade materials than our condo originally had. We feel confident our upgraded materials will last for a long time.
He also made sure that the condo was clean during his work, which was great, because we were sleeping near the demo area.
Thanks Travis!

Travis did an outstanding job. This was not an easy project even though we had taken the old backsplash tiles off. The tiles were large and had to line up exactly in order to look right.  Our kitchen is on the third floor of our house so it meant a lot of climbing up and down stairs, too. We also had a 90 degree day during the installation which added a bit more challenge.
We really appreciated Travis keeping track of us through the summer. We thought we'd be ready much sooner than we were and he checked in with us a couple times to see how the project was going.
Once it was scheduled, he came when he said he would and was very respectful of our house. He left the area clean and hauled off any mess that he made.

We contacted Travis during the summer time in hopes of getting our patio done before the fall. We did have to wait until late September/October because he was very busy but the wait was well worth it. He performed the same service for our neighbor and she was extremely pleased with his work. We live on the first floor of a condominium but the decks are one story from the ground and it was difficult to find someone who wanted to perform the work because of that.
Travis removed the existing material and prepared the area with waterproofing, laid the tile and cleaned up the area all within a few weeks time, even with some inclement weather. He always kept the working area and the inside of our home very tidy and clean.
Couldn't be happier with his work and our patio.

I highly recommend Travis as an expert craftsman. The job was complicated for a bathroom, with a custom designed curved counter top; which required multiple and unusual tile cuts. First Travis carefully planned and measured before beginning the job. This saved a great deal of time. He was prepared with all the necessary supplies and equipment required to do the job. He carefully prepped the house, actually covering the flooring, which was his path from the work area to the outside. He worked efficiently, and kept his work area clean daily. The finished product looks great! The final price was the price he quoted, no extra charges. Travis is polite, he communicates very well, returns phone calls promptly, and stays on schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stefanados Tile again.

Travis was great to work with. Very professional and personable. He was very patient and informative when we were having trouble deciding on tile and exploring our options for shower design, and helped us to find better deals. He handled buying the materials, including tile, built-in ceramic shelf, etc., and brought them to the site (and gave us all the leftovers). He always arrived when he said he would, with calls or texts to inform when he was on his way or about to show up as needed. Working in our home, he struck the right balance between being friendly on the one hand but not chatting excessively instead of working. He made sure to consider his impact on the house, picking up tools after himself, keeping things as neat as possible, keeping us informed about the status of the project. Whenever he discovered something (like the water damage) that was going to affect the estimate he made before the job started, he was very upfront about consulting about how much additional it would cost, what other options we had, etc. He was open to doing more than just the tiling--the demo, paint trim, etc., as we requested (although the hard-core plumbing and shower door install he does not do). And, his work looks great and has held up beautifully. I was incapacitated with illness during much of the time he was working, and then had a newborn, so it has been scandalously long before I got around to writing this review after everything he did for us. But I have recommended him to everyone and he has done great work at a relative's house as well.
