Fantastic work all around. KJR gave us a quick, competitive estimate, and was very responsive to all of our questions. They completed the work quickly, and were thorough in replacing the existing badly-installed flashing. KJR replaced all sheathing, and fixed long-standing ventilation issues in our attic. The roof looks great.

KJR's bid was the most comprehensive in terms of covering everything necessary to totally refresh our roof, including skylights, replacing rotten plywood, vents, old flashing, etc. The other bids did not provide this level of detail and we felt that there would be incremental charges at the end. KJR's price was lowest of all bids as well, coming in at $741/square, or $7.73/sq. ft. for the removal and replacement of shingles (not including skylights). We chose Certainteed's Presidential TL in Shadow Gray as the shingle to use. They gave us references of other homes they did with the same shingles and color that we were interested in. Payment was due on completion. They started work promptly at 7:30am everyday and worked till around 5pm. It took them 2 and a half days to remove the old roof and install the new one. Communications were excellent, using email and phone to alert us to scheduling; delivery of dumpster, shingles, and new skylights; discovery of rotten plywood; and other issues they encountered. They did a daily cleanup of debris and roofing nails, leaving our yard and driveway in pristine condition every evening. We now have the best looking roof in the neighborhood! We would definitely recommend KJR Roofing!

These guys were excellent and had great prices, make sure to include when you request quotes! The roof looks great and all the details like the flashing and vents are nicely done. KJR is unusual in that the guys who show up for the quote are the same guys who do ALL the work, making it much more likely there is no miscommunication. Their quote was $9,500 ( the others varied from $9,300 to $16,000) and they did not charge extra for some surprises that cropped up when the roofing was stripped off. I also appreciated that they did not skimp on the quality of the materials. The used Velux brand flashing around my Velux skylights, plywood instead of chipboard, all metal vents....

After gathering several quotes for a roof replacement on our cottage lake rambler we called KJR and we are extremely glad we did.  They came very highly referred from a general contractor that works with my wife.  Their price was competitive and their overall value far exceeded the competition.  While we did get some lower bids, they were for an overall inferior product (OSB strand board vs. CDX plywood, plastic plumbing fittings vs. lead etc).  The overall bid was strong and it was clear from the start that Zach and his brother knew their stuff.  Their style is much more about high quality work and solid value than flashy brochures and slick sales people.

Our 30 year old tile roof began failing in at least 10 spots immediately after we had a different company do a roof cleaning and we were forced to install temporary tarps.  Zach and Ken came out promptly and provided a bid the same day.  They inspected the tarps and offered to come back out if we had any issues with them anytime before they were able to start their work.  They were able to fit us in within a couple of weeks which was far quicker than all of the other larger companies that we talked to.

The work was completed quickly and efficiently with their two person crew.  They always kept the roof protected during any bad weather and the job site was always left in great shape.  They are great guys and were extremely good to work with.  The roof looks amazing!

If you are looking for a new roof, give KJR a call.  You will be glad you did.

I had an unexpected roof failure last winter -- as in rain very unexpectedly running down the living room wall.  I thought it was where
the roof joined the fireplace.  I asked three companies (all on Angie's List) for bids and met all three estimators at the house.  Zach with KJR was by far the best throughout the process.  He climbed on the roof and did a thorough inspection.  Since I'm too old to climb up there and had had a "roof inspection" the summer before and was told the roof would last another 3-5 years, I was skeptical of the problem.  Zach took photos with his cell phone and walked me through the whole process.  Their estimate was the lowest.  We worked around rain, snow, and work schedules to get the job completed in a timely manner.  They were always clear, accurate, and on time.  They did a very nice job cleaning up afterwards including removing misc roofing and nails from driveway, walkways, and flowerbeds.  The roof is now 11 months old and working great, and looking good.  I highly recommend them.

KJR roofing did an outstanding job installing a new roof on our home.  The cost estimate was very competitive and we were impressed that  Ken and Zach, who are expert roofers,  do all of the work themselves. They were responsive to our questions, and performed the job quickly and with exceptional care, right on time.   The new roof looks great!

I had a real situation. My roof was leaking due to a real poor roofing done before moving in. I contacted 4 different roofing contractors for a bid. Two of the contractors did not even climb a ladder to actually inspect the roof! My mother was actually present for the estimates of 3 roofing contractors. My mother felt uneasy in their presence and said the bidders did not make eye contact. I received a bid from Zach at KJR roofing. I could tell he knew about roofing and he looked at me eye to eye while providing options as well as cost. KJR roofing was actually the highest bid I received. I almost felt like I was a relative of Zach with the roof they replaced! I was so impressed with the quality of the product and the workmanship he provided. I t also meant a lot to me as an American  that the crew doing the work included the owner Zach and all English speaking  men. I would highly recommend KJR roofing to anyone who wants a quality American worker roofing product!

Ken and Zach are KJR roofing. They did the estimate and all the work. This probably was the reason their bid came in below others in spite of their their doing essentially all the work that were in other bids. I also chose them for the work because they had come out earlier in the summer very promptly on an emergency to fix a leak that had developed on
my roof.
They were very efficient, clean and professional. They took the time to answer questions and explain what they were doing. All in all a very positive experience.

KJR was a pleasure to work with. They were recommended to us by a general contractor. Zack showed up within an hour of the first call, and sent the estimate that afternoon. After a week or two of touring the neighborhood to decide what we wanted, we accepted their proposal. Zack and his brother Ken began the job the following week. They began promptly, and worked fast, with no mess. Their supplies showed up on time and there were no delays. They finished the job in 2 1/2 days, less than estimated. Our roof looks great. We couldn't ask for a better experience! Zack and Ken are owner-operators and so the "bosses" were up on the roof and easy to find. No communication problems whatsoever. I strongly recommend them.

I was referred to them from a friend. They were very personable and seemed honest and straight forward. They really did a great job and finished the job in two days. They cleaned out the gutters and swept up any nails after the service.
