It went as well as I could have hoped. Work location was a residential area with concerned neighbors. My opinion and that of the neighbors was that the Bartlett team was very professional and did a difficult job very well with minimum impact. There was no way around the noise of the equipment (chain saws, chipper, and blower) and the dust, but the work was done efficiently and the noise was kept to a minimum.

Bartlett Tree Experts accomplished the tree removal work I contracted in a safe, professional manner. The job consisted of removing four 20-foot ornamental hawthorn trees adjacent to a driveway and grinding the stumps; and a technically-challenging drop of a 100+ foot tall rotten/dying maple located on a steep slope within 20 feet of my house. From initial contact with the local office, through job inspection & proposal, to executing the removals & cleanup, all the Bartlett staff were communicative, prompt, and professional. The price was fair (and their Angie?s List discount made it better) and I?m very pleased with the outcome of the tree work. I won?t hesitate to use Bartlett Tree Experts again when I need tree service.

Bartlett was very professional and I appreciated their honesty in not trying to sell me a service I didn't need. The technician suggested a couple of things I could try to address the needle cast problem, which I have done. The problem still exists, but it's not getting worse. I would use them again for other tree needs.

Jake Johnson came on time. Walked thru the yard. Gave the bid verbally and said he would send us the bid thru email and we never see it !

This crew is great -- they are true tree people and they care about the health and appearance of trees. They define "worth every penny."

They did a great job trimming tree limbs and thinning out larger branches that were threatening my home. The ended up doing more than we estimated in the original quote and I think they did a fabulous job. They also gave us a neighbor discount for having work done at the same time as our neighbor.

They showed up on time, got right to work and did a good job. No problems.

Have had several tree service companies over the years and this was, no question, the best ever. They topped and trimmed several trees, removed one completely and pruned others. Everything was done to my satisfaction with the end results better than I expected. Several times during actual work the foreman would check with me to see if things were shaping up the way I wanted and if I wanted anything more. They cleaned up afterwards better than my regular yard service team! Jake, who did the estimate, was there at the start to ensure the crew and foreman knew exactly what was to be done. Everyone was courteous, pleasant, professional and hardworking. The cost was competitive with other bids and very reasonable considering the work done. Couldn't be more pleased.

We greatly appreciate Bartlett Tree Experts, as a knowledgeable, straightforward and dependable company. Jake, a Master Arborist came out and discussed our trees and the work which was needed. Jake was personable and informative in his evaluation. The estimate came back quickly and was very reasonable. The work was done by five men, all were helpful and courteous, supervised by Scott an Arborist. The entire experience was efficient, well done with safety standards in place, and care to fell the trees without damage to our property, or that of our neighbors. We had the wood removed, and the stumps ground. The cleanup was amazing and every aspect was done professionally. Due to enormity of the job in our opinion, it was a relief to see everything handled with such expertise. The billing was also exaclty as expected. Thanks to all the men involved. We will call upon you in the future.

Bartlett is great to work with. They were prompt with their estimates, and the work was done on time. Cleanup was exceptional. This was my second experience with Bartlett, and I would definitely use them again.

Nice man came out and appraised my trees for free, said the trees were fine. On time, very nice and professional, will use 'em when a real need arises! Recommended!

They seemed to be very knowledgeable about the plants, including what to do and what not to do.

We have used Four Seasons Tree Care and now Bartlett Tree Service becuase of Scott Selby and the professionalism that he and his crews display. Their work is terrific. Unfortunately, our scheduled appointment last Wednesday Feb 8th came and went without anyone showing up and without any phone calls. We have left a message that has also gone unanswered. Update: I guess there was a miscommunication on the bid appt. time. Work was completed nicley as usual.

The experience was excellent overall. Jake Johnson was responsive and provided excellent service from the estimate through the completion of the work. The work was completed on time and done properly. When a windstorm caused the transplanted magnolia to lean, Jake had a crew out very quickly to replant and stake the tree.

The Bartlett representative in my area is Jake Johnson, who came to estimate all three jobs. He was courteous and personable. Basically he bids jobs at $75 per hour per crew member, or $1800 for a three-man crew for an eight-hour job, less the 10% Angie's discount. The price includes everything including a chipper, if necessary. I am sure I could find somebody cheaper, but not without taking more risk of damage to my house. Two were Certified Arborists and the third was extremely knowledgeable. Of all the crews I have worked with, they were the most safety conscious. Obviously Barlett drums safety training into them. They followed a safety checklist on every cut, to make sure there was no miscommunication. Other highlights: They pieced down two large, dead madrones adjacent to my deck, while doing no damage to my deck. Impressively, they also felled a tree by pirouetting it around a healthy tree, saving that one from damage. They are excellent at planning the best drop zone, and hit it every time. I highly recommend Bartlett Tree Experts.

After reseraching tree service companies on Angies List I made a list of 3 and called Bartlett 1st having put them at the top of the list. They got back to me promptly but were unable to sechedule a time for the estimate to be done until 1 week out. I made the appt. time and then called the other 2 companies on the list. After receiving 2 very good bids from the other companies I probably would have cancelled the appointment time with Bartlett due to the fact that we were anxious to have the wrok done asap as we were going to have some slabjacking work done as well. The appt time for the slab jacking ended up being moved to an earlier date so I went ahead and had Jake with Bartlett come and give us his estimate. It was the most detailed of the 3 received and competetive on some areas and higher on others. My husband said he was very personable and liked him very much, I was not home at the time. We would defintely call him again and may look into using his landscape services in the future

Starting with the estimate to taking down the tree, to the grinding of the thundercloud plum tree stump, these people were professional yet so friendly. It was an education for me to watch how carefully they took down the tree and even saved a few pieces for me to share with the family since this was the first thing we planted when we moved in 39 years ago. When the stump was ground, he was very careful to protect the surroundings with barriers. Any questions I had were answered with a smile and any communications with the site manager have been quickly handled. My neighbor had a stump left from the previous owners that she wished to be ground so, with her permission, the Bartlett people took care of that one also on the same day our tree stump was done. That one was really close to the foundation of the house and the expertise of the operator was amazing to watch. Again, he was careful to protect her windows and existing plantings. Everything was cleaned very well. Only the mulch from the stumps remain neatly in the holes where the stumps were. We can use this in our landscape. I will recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Jake, the representative for this area, came to the property to to look at what I needed done and provide a cost quote the same day I called the Bartlett's office. He was able to schedule a crew to come out the very next day. The two staff members that came out were very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. They took down the two trees on the property and the job was completed quickly and skillfully. I was impressed and very happy with the job from start to finish. The tree crew even asked if I wanted them to save some of the wood from the maple for my wood pile! When I got home that evening, the job was complete, the site was cleaned up and there were several fireplace-sized chunks of maple wood stacked neatly in the side yard.

I emailed Bartlett Tree Experts from Angie's list over the weekend, and received a return email first thing Monday morning. After a few days of not hearing back from me, they left me a courtesy message on my answering machine. I called back that Thursday, and had an appointment with the Arborist Scott Selby scheduled for the following Monday. Scott was AWESOME. He spent well over an hour with me walking around my property and giving me professional advice on what my options were. When solicited, he gave me options on how / when I should prune some of my existing smaller plants and bushes, and really listened to me when we discussed what I want done to the larger trees. I hated having to cut down any trees, but the ones they removed were either damaged or posed a threat to the house. Scott then spent over a hour working on an estimate on his laptop in his car, and then presented me with a very detailed description of all the work that we discussed. He was willing to break down the cost however I wanted it broken down, and gave me suggestions on what I could do either later or myself if I could not afford to have the whole project done at the time, which was nice. After accepting the estimate, Scott told me that they had a cancellation and they would be able to get the work done on Thursday of that same week. I was shocked and thrilled that the work would be done so quickly. When I got home Thursday night I was very excited at the quality of work that was performed. They cleaned up all debris so that you could not even tell anyone had been at my house, and I was extremely happy with the job they did. AND, to top it off, I got a follow - up email from Scott this morning to ensure I was completely satisfied with the job. Wow. All in all, I had an outstanding experience with Bartlett Tree Experts from start to finish. I will definitely use them for all my Tree Service needs from now on.

Our property has several large trees in need of a lot of pruning and maintenance. This company was recommended to me by another arborist who said we'd need someone like this since our trees are so big. The owner, Scott, arrived for our scheduled estimate visit very punctually and said he'd already walked through the neighborhood to have an idea of what type of work we'd need. He was very nice and walked around our property with me answering questions in a very friendly manner. His recommendations were easy to understand. Later that day he emailed an itemized estimate that described what needed to be done that was prioritized by urgency. He even came out again after a recent storm and gave us a revised plan for what he felt needed to be addressed first. We have known for a while that our yard is in bad repair and he has been very understanding about breaking the work up into smaller jobs in order to fit it into our budget. The crew came out this morning and completed the first phase of work that we will be doing. They arrived on time and were a very friendly group who seemed to all really like their jobs! They finished up earlier than expected after doing a great job and cleaned up after themselves nicely. We will be using them again throughout this year to have all our tree and yard work done.

I received 2 bids for the project, and was deciding between Seattle Tree Preservation and Bartlett. The bid from Seattle tree was lower due to the fact that they own their own crane, and Bartlett needs to rent theirs. However, I was much more impressed with Bartlett (and particularly with Scott Selby, their arborist). They were very professional and helpful / understanding in the permit application process to have a tree of this size removed in Seattle. Once I received my permit for the Hazard Tree Removal from the City, Scott scheduled the tree removal, which took 2 days. On the first day the crew removed all the tree limbs. On the second day, with use of the crane, they removed the main trunk and then ground the stump. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and quality of the work performed by the crew. They took precautions to 1) have all underground lines marked 2) protected my fence from debris 3) cleaned up each day such that you could not even tell there was a tree in our yard 4) relocate and replant some small vegetation near the tree and 5) repair a broken sprinkler head that got hit during the tree removal. All in all I would recommend Bartlett for any kind of tree work.

They did an excellent job and the man I worked with was great. He was just a good human being.

I put out request for bid on two trimming projects to three contractors from Angie's List. I chose Bartlett Tree Experts, Four Seasons Tree Division due to the responsiveness and thoroughness of their proposal. While they weren't the least expensive, they proposed an additional service which I saw as necessary and agreed to. The crew was on time, professional, efficient and performed beyond my expectations. When I saw how well they were doing the original job, I asked if they would trim several other bushes away from lower level windows for security which they immediately took care of. Before final cleanup they asked if there was anything else on my wish list. I mentioned two large plum trees in my neighbor's yard that were blocking my upper deck view. They went next door and asked the neighbor's permission to trim back those trees and ended up taking out both trees completely to the delight of my neighbor and myself. Above and beyond! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and/or use their services in the future.

Bartlett Tree Experts get all A?s from me. I was very impressed with the crew?s professionalism. They showed up on time. They were polite, friendly and professionally attired. They listened attentively to my requests and shared my concerns about maintaining the aesthetics of the trees. They were very knowledgeable about the health and growth habits of each type of tree. I am delighted with the results. They achieved my goal of letting more dappled light into the garden, while preserving the privacy effect that the trees provide and maintaining the beautiful natural shapes of the trees. The garden went from feeling dark and encroaching to airy and welcoming. These guys are top professionals from the initial proposal to final clean up. It is a pleasure to find people who take such pride in their work.

They came out right away to look at the problem and discussed it. They did a good job. They were very nice about agreeing that it needed to look good when they were finished. I wanted it to look aesthetically pleasing. They gave me a ten percent Angie's List discount. They were friendly and knowledgeable.
