Ken Do That - a veteran owned business was just what we needed when we needed him. He helped us do several jobs to complete our home sale. He cleaned and sealed our crawl space. He patched some holes in the garage and did some other jobs too. He was communicative and made sure we were completely satisfied with the jobs we hired him to complete. I would hire him again!!! This was a $4000.00 job for water damage in a condo. Most work done was adequate but not professional. He caused me to get a $250 fine from the HOA by filling a dumpster with old carpet. The job was not finished in the promised time. Outlets were not installed properly in the new drywall, including one with a hole too large, and pressed the cover into drywall mud to keep it in place. The painting was sloppy with some small areas missed. He added $50.00 for materials not included in the bid, but the material was a strap that cost $18.00 at Home Depot.

Ken’s crew did an exceptional job. Ken was professional and courteous. He kept me informed of his arrival time, kept the work area clean and orderly. I was amazed at how much he offered to do to keep the shed dry an insect free. Ken put down a vapor barrier on the concrete foundation, sealed all openings from moisture and insects. He made sure that when it rains that water would not pool under the flooring. It’s nice to hire professionals that take pride in their work. I was so impressed with the work I gave Ken a tip and have hired him to install a flag pole. I definitely will hire Ken again.

I contacted Ken about minor repairs I wanted done before I moved out. I called Ken and gave him the run down over the phone, he asked that I send a follow up text with my address and issues so he has a reference. I did not hear from Ken for a week and I had to reach back out to him. The first time he arrived was for an estimate and he was late. The second time he was supposed to do the actual repairs he told me he was available on Tuesday, but renege on the day of and had to reschedule. When it finally came time for the repairs he took 2.5 hours to fix minor repairs. This is because the whole time he was "fixing" my stuff he was lecturing me about his philosophy of life and that everything is in vibrations. I learned that Ken can heals immaculately and proceeded to tell me about a head injury he received. As soon as he knew the injury wasn't major he thought about healing himself and all of sudden the blood stopped immediately. He can also pull a nail out of his foot and go on about his business as if it nothing happened because he can heal himself by thinking. He can also pick up a 350 support beam all by himself because he can visualize what needs to be done and how to do it. My favorite little tidbit, was that he manifests parking spots all day because if he thinks about them then the will appear. I was very uncomfortable during this whole time. He was so busy talking about himself that when he sprayed texture onto my wall he got paint on my purse as well as my closet door. No attention to detail and respect for my things. The real icing on the cake is when I received a text at 1:30am in the morning asking "if I am around." I did not respond until the next day and he claimed it was the wrong number. Very unprofessional on all accounts.

Ken is a very upbeat guy, willing to tackle most any task, and convinced he can troubleshoot most problems. I had him replace 2 exterior dusk/dawn and motion sensor light fixtures, check the electrical circuit, replace a couple of electric switches, as well as replace the faucet assembly in my laundry room sink. As with any old plumbing, it's usually a bear of a job just removing the old rusty plumbing parts and requires a few trips back to the hardware store to get the necessary new parts. Ken stayed with it and got all 3 tasks completed same day and all seem to be performing well.

When Ken finally came the work was sub-par. When he originally came for the estimate it was $150. Then when he actually did the work, it ended up being $300. He did not complete some of the projects that we agreed on, and some of the projects he did complete were not done well. The biggest issue was that the hot water tank expansion that he installed did not fix the original problem, and it leaked as well. The first time we noticed the leak right after he left. We called and he came right back. Later that night we realized it was still leaking. He texted that he would be back ASAP. Days went by before we heard anything from him, and we were left with a leak in the laundry room. We eventually fixed the leak ourselves. He finally came back days later and we told him we had already fixed it. We also mentioned the projects he did not complete. He asked if we wanted him to take care of them and we said no because we didn't want to do anymore business with him. When he left he was yelling loud noises and our neighbor said he making inappropriate hand gestures -- very unprofessional!

"I am sorry things did not go as well as you expected. The quote was stated at the beginning, other items were added in. Sorry for the scheduling and delay as with the very busy times right now I was doing my best to fit the work in. I worked after hours until 9:30 and had to return the following day due to the wrong light fixture. As you stated, we both saw there was no leak before I left but developed after I left. Our communication could have been better as I did not receive the full text about the 2nd leak. I am always happy and the "hand gestures" were not toward you but towards being happy at our work being finished and getting to make my next appt (watching my grandaughter) on time. I tried to fit you in to an overwhelming schedule, I expressed that and hoped you would understand. Again, my apologies things did not go as well as your expectations."

Ken did a fine job on all three. In fact, when he came to see me for an estimate, he fixed the leaky faucet near the back deck of my home on the spot and told me "no charge". That was very nice of him to do that, he did not have to. The next day he was able to come and complete the other two tasks. Good work at a fair price, much appreciated.

I learned of Ken through Angie's list and called him on New Years Eve, December 31st. So the first thing that differentiated Ken from others I researched was first that he even had work hours on the weekend, and secondly that he promptly returned calls left on New Years Eve. I described the work to him, and he was courteous and professional. Ken was able to go out to DuPont and do the repairs that Monday, January 2nd, the observed new years holiday. As soon as the work was done he notified me and sent me pictures of the work, which matched the before pictures that I had sent him earlier. Being on the east coast and unable to see my property with my own eyes, these pictures were very useful. In addition to the work described above, Ken also unclogged a sink for the tenants (an unknown condition to me) without charging anything additional. Payment invoices was prompt, and through PayPal, which I like. Would definitely hire again, and plan to do so for future work.
