Window Fellas

Petr and Andy were great to work with and we would happily contract with Window Fellas again! Petr was very careful during the ordering process and followed up with us to clarify and make sure all the measurements were correct. Andy was very helpful and was very patient with my questions and requests throughout the install. He was careful to match the window trim to the other units in our townhome. I mentioned to Andy that we had out-of-town guests coming the day he was planning to finish the installation - he worked hard to finish the project a day early so we had a little breathing room. We had one problem with a small gouge in one unit that we discovered after the installation. Andy came out the next day to look at it and the new unit came just a couple weeks later and was quickly replaced. Nick in the office was also very helpful - we visited the showroom and he helped with our many questions in person and via email. We found this company thru the Milgard website. We got bids from 4 other companies. One company tried to upsell us. Another was thousands more. Another lied about upcoming price increases to get us to quickly sign. Window Fellas is a small company that we have had a good experience with in terms of being straightforward, honest, and having its own small install team. We are very happy with our new windows and recommend Window Fellas!

Replacing windows may be the most frustrating and time-consuming project we've had. And I'm talking about FINDING a window company! We got the hard sell from Anderson, and ultimately canceled the install because I just couldn't deal with the sleazy sell. We got 3 different quotes for the exact same windows. Petr was in the middle, but half of what the top company wanted! Petr was a breath of fresh air. He is clearly a craftsman and had all kinds of suggestions and reassurances as I was worried about making the windows blend in to the home. He was patient as I debated style and glass. While it took a bit to schedule the install, his team was absolutely fabulous. They were hard workers and fixed anything I was unsure about. They also did a few minor repairs to exterior sills and door jambs that weren't where the new windows were even going! When it came to replacing our sky window, they were the only ones even willing to tackle the job. Other window companies said a roofer needed to do it, the roofers said window guys needed to do it, and others said it couldn't be done at all! Not only did Petr's team do a great job and make the new interior sill and exterior siding look seamless, but they took great care to make sure everything was sealed up properly. I'm so happy to have found Window Fellas and recommend them to everyone I know!

Team installed windows beautifully

We do not recommend Window Fellas to anyone. We chose them due to great reviews on yelp and google but we should have checked bbb.org first! Just read this complaint [*** Link removed ***] and how Petr responded and you have an idea how you are going to end up if you choose them. Almost everything described there happened to us. Of course, Petr can say again that this all is a lie but we hope some people will read this and draw some conclusions. Please, check these photos as a proof. It all started when ordered windows replacement. When we first visited their office back in August, their office manager told us that estimated installation date was the second half of October. Several days later Petr came to our house to take windows measurements and confirmed the same dates so we agreed, signed contract and payed them 50% of the money. Petr also told they was going to contact us 2 weeks prior the installation to schedule exact date. Then we didn't get anything from until mid-October so we decided to email Petr and ask about installation dates. Petr answered that they are behind "roughly 2 1/2 months out on the installations". They never mentioned this before. After telling them that this is unacceptable and we would never sign the contract with such schedule we finally got out installation date - November, 9th. Secondly, then Petr visited us to take measurements we told him we have HOA rules and all our front windows must have a grid. It turned out that he ordered one of the front windows with no grid. When my wife signed the contract, she believed that Petr was a professional and knows what he was ordering. They installed incorrect window and after we mentioned this they agreed to order a new "glass with grid" and install it. Petr mentioned that it was our mistake and they are not responsible for and even if we agree that it was partially our mistake it is unacceptable how they handle this. First of all, they left a lot of scratched on the new window during replacement, installed wrong trim around the glass and after we mentioned this they had to install correct trim but from another old window which they had in their car so our new window doesn't look like new now. Secondly, installation guy told us we should use our window warranty from Milgard to fix these scratches he left but then we actually called Milgard they said they do not cover installation issues. And they actually asked us to pay additional money for this. We also got many other problems during installation: 1. We got a huge leakage in one of the windows after installation. 2. They put ugly trims on almost every window which we didn't order and Petr actually assured us that everything would look like before after installation but they still decided to put these ugly trims. 3. Installation guys left trash around our house and never bother to clean after themselves. 4. They say in contract that they wash all windows after installation but all windows were very dirty after installation and we have to ask them to wash them several times before they actually did it. But they only washed 3 out of 17 windows! 5. They forgot to order mosquito grid for kitchen window and one of their installation guys had to basically assemble it from materials he had in his car. 6. Left small wholes from nails on windows. We also would like to mention that Petr is the most impolite person we have ever met here. He thinks it is OK to lie in the eye and treat his customers as trash. He made my wife cry because of how rude he spoke to her.

These fellas are awesome! The most professional contractors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Excellent communication, showed on time, super organized, very professional paperwork, friendly and courteous AND had the lowest price out of 5 bids! Highly recommend Window Fellas for any window install or glass repair. Thanks guys!

Professional from beginning to end.  Good communication.  Detailed quoting.  Quality Milgard Ultra and Andersen 100 windows.  Good price.  Easy to work with.  Punctual.  Already referred two customers.  Highly recommend!

This experience went extremely well throughout the entire process. Petr was very thorough in explaining what would be done and explained the progression of activities. I could tell right away that he was experienced in what this job required. He also pointed out some possible concerns that they could run into but wouldn't know until they started cutting. I would much rather know what could happen up front so my expectations are set correctly.

Petr explained each step of the process very well. His price was very competitive and all my questions were answered. One thing I really liked is that he presented options on various material choices and flashing considerations, but left it up to me to make the decision and wasn't pushy at all.

Communication throughout was very good and Petr was very responsive to emails that I sent.

During the actual work, I went out to take a look at progress and I had a few questions. The crew was very good about taking the time to answer my questions.

I would definitely hire Petr and his crew again.

Andy and Petr did a fantastic job! They carried out every part of the job with meticulous attention to detail. They were great to work with throughout the process, from selecting the best types of windows and doors, to advising us on our options for the more complex changes, to cheerfully answering all our questions and encouraging us to watch them at work.
The French door was particularly impressive. We were a bit nervous about the wall being opened up but they explained in detail how they would accomplish it and put our fears to rest. Other window companies said they would subcontract the creation of the opening, so we were glad to find folks who had already done similar jobs and didn't need to ask for outside help. They made very clean cuts in the brick exterior, removed the bricks carefully so they could be used for other repair projects, and prepared the opening with extra sturdy framing. It is beautifully finished inside and out and looks like it has always been there. The door they changed into a window also looks great. They framed in the area below the new window, insulated it, and installed drywall with a first coat of mud. They made the new window as close as possible to the size of the existing window in the same room and pointed out that the interior trim around the existing window was different from all the other windows in the house (a detail I hadn't even noticed). They managed to locate the right type of trim, so now the two windows look great together and match all the others. 
In the basement, the previous homeowner had boarded over a bathroom window when he finished the room with drywall. Petr unearthed the window and created an elegant 15" deep birch plywood box to bring the window all the way into the room. Natural light now floods into the room throughout the day, making it seem bigger, cleaner, and brighter. 
The regular exterior doors they replaced presented some big challenges because the openings were way off square and not standard height. Lots of air had been leaking in all around the edges and the doors were hard to shut. A representative from another company told us his company wouldn't even try to tackle the job. Andy and Petr agreed they would be tricky to fix but were undaunted and took the time to do it right. They managed to get the openings square and now the new doors open with ease and close tightly.
And finally...the windows. Several windows were quite large, the biggest about 9 feet x 5 feet. Petr and Andy breezed through this part of the job, adding attractive trim and caulking on the outside. One window was cracked by the delivery company, but the Window Fellas took care of it and replaced it within a week. 
The windows and doors all look fabulous! The house is quieter, in winter it should feel a lot warmer, and its curb appeal has increased tremendously. The Window Fellas are great problem solvers. We are still amazed at how much of an improvement they made and we're glad we discovered them through Angie's List.

Petr and Andre are the most responsive, competent, and professional contractors we have ever used for any remodeling project (of which we have had many!).  They arrived when they said they would, clearly explained what they intended to do, and did what they said they would for the quoted price (which was quite competitive).  They kept a very clean and safe worksite.  Their engineering and carpentry skills and attention to detail are outstanding.  I plan to use them to replace the rest of the windows in our home next spring.  Because the sky wall needed a number of rainless days in a row, they couldn't provide us with a completion date when they began (which, admittedly, made me nervous), but they were consistently here when the weather permitted and finished the work in a timely manner.  We were pleased that they did all the work themselves. They used time-lapse photography (with my permission) and posted a video showing all the work on the pool house; I recommend you view it to see the quality work they do.

From the original estimate to the completion of work, they did great work at an excellent price.  They took the time to make sure that my house stayed clean during their work and did a complete clean up after installation.  They took the time to answer questions and make suggestions regarding an unusual job.  They were very nice as well as being highly professional.  My only regret is that I wish I had found them sooner.

We just bought the house so when we found that the doors were leaking when it rained, we were not sure if there was structural damage to the wood underneath. Window Fellas excellent carpentry skills so during the removal of the old doors and the installation of the new ones, they had the skills to replace any wood that might have rotted. Fortunately, none of the wood was damaged so this was not required. Our new doors fit well and keep out the weather.
Ordering the doors and having them installed went like a charm. Petr is very knowledgeable and recommended the type of door that would work best for the installation. The doors are nonstandard size so he ordered custom doors. When the doors arrived, they came out immediately and installed them so that the house would not sustain any further damage from the winter weather this year. Their method of scheduling is very smart--they don't not let themselves be overbooked so you do not have to wait a long time for the installation after the doors arrive.
We did not have any other bids as Window Fellas were highly recommended so I cannot say if the price was higher than other companies. However, because the work went so well and the new doors are doing precisely what they should, I am very happy with the price. We will use Window Fellas for our front doors when we replace them in the summer. We only recently bought this house and it was an unpleasant surprise to learn that we had to replace all the doors. It is not always so easy to work with a new company but this one was a good experience all around. Window Fellas took care of everything for us.

I was thoroughly pleased with the project. Petr was punctual and sensitive to the surroundings at my house.
Replacing the two windows could have caused issues due to matching other existing window styles. Also the location of the windows was made difficult by mature trees and foliage around their location.
The updated windows look perfect and were installed with no interruption to the gardens or the adjacent rooms and furnishings.

Petr was really friendly and knowledgeable and spent a considerable amount of time discussing our options because safety was a huge concern with the windows being on the 3rd floor. He came out at 7 p.m. on a weekday to give us an estimate which worked great with our busy schedule. Delivery and installation was prompt and they were very professional - used drop cloths in our house and left no mess. And the installation was flawless, despite the fact that our house is perched on a top of a ravine and the windows were three floors up. Pricing was competitive (I checked). I would definitely recommend them and I'll be using them again for some other windows I need updated.

They did a great job. From the original quote, very clear and in writing, to the replacement of the window. They came when they said they would, were very easy to deal with and did a great job. Plus their price was $400 less than the quote I got from a Bellevue glass company. I would definitely recommend them.

From the get go Petr and Andre were professional, punctual, quality of work is far and above Excellent! Example....our next door neighbor had same brand of windows as we had installed via a different distributor. Neighbors work crew took 3 weeks to install. The Window Fellas took 1/2 day for first 4 windows. In March, 10 windows and patio door.......only one day to complete the job. Entry door system only took one day for 1 'guy' with small assist to actually move system into place.

You can tell Petr and Andre have been working together for some time and compliment each other's work style and ethics. They took care with respect of our home and cleaned as they went on the job. When comes time to do inside doors will not have anyone else other than The Window Fellas do install. We can't say enough about these two gentlemen. If they ever left area....not sure what we would do.

I wanted a specific kind of window, with special woodwork. They are expert craftsmen, and after having problems with another window company, they came in and did the job right away. They installed them in one day, they left no mess. The windows are really gorgeous. We couldn't be happier.
