When we met Steve, he assured us that he would be there himself to do the work, that was not the case.  He rarely showed up, and when he did he spent his time trying to rush his workers instead of helping them to do a quality job.    Overall,we were taken for a ride, all at our expense.  I have waited years to post in hopes that Steve would fix his work.  He never did, but every time I got in touch with him he promised that he would.  I don't have much to complain about with the paint job, but the deck was a complete fail and extremely expensive.  Now just a few years later, boards are cracked and popping up. When they did the deck, they chipped paint all around the bottom of the house, they never  fixed it. They broke a window, replaced it- but it was not properly installed, and he never fixed it. They also stuffed all their garbage under the deck.
I could go on and on.  
Our neighbors has a similar experience.

They did a fanstastic job. They are great. They are trustworthy, meticulous, and thorough. The designer, Doug, oversesas each project with meticulous care. They are a great team and do high quality work at a quality price and I recommend them.

Steve Ray Construction was recommended to us by our realtor to help us with a feasiblity study for a partially-completed property we wanted to purchase. We got an estimate from a different contractor who had done another project on our current home, but within the first 5 minutes of Steve's 1st walk-through of the house, it was clear he was head and shoulders above the other contractor. Although we did not get the house after all, we were amazed time and again how much knowledge and relevant experience Steve and Doug had--they thought of so many things that never would have occurred to us. Had the deal gone through, I would hate to think what would have happened if we had used a less-experienced contractor. I can't comment on Steve's work, since our contract did not go through, but if I had to guess based on their attitude, helpfulness, and broad range of knowledge, I'm confident we would have been happy with the work. Steve's workers are all employees rather than temporary workers, so his prices are probably a bit on the high side. However, I suspect their level of experience and attention to detail are well worth the price. I would definitely recommend SRC to my friends and relatives.

Extremely professional and friendly work crew. Floors were all taped off and carpet was covered with plastic. Top quality job completed. They worked around our family and annoying dog. Having them come back out to bid on my kitchen. Took about two weeks to complete. Schedule took a couple of day hit due to illness and also they had set up a spray booth in the garage to do the doors but a few days were burned due to the cold weather. They ended up spraying the doors offsite as my garage was too cold to allow the paint to dry properly.

The deck was $13000, the remodeling was $60000, including paint. I have recommend them to other people, and they have been pleased. He has come to my house to do several jobs. He does excellent work. I would rate him an A all the way through.

THEY REMOVED ALL FURNITURE AND THOROUGHLY POWER WASHED THE DECK 2 TIMES BEFORE APPLYING THE STAIN. I AM PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. THE DECK LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE THEY BEGAN.
