I misunderstood the quote because it did not have a grand total for each option, just all the options provided as separate line items. The total ended up being twice what I had been quoted from another HVAC company. That, however, isn't my issue. The installation took 3 days. The first day was the demo. The guys who did that were respectful and professional. The next 2 days were installation. The installer came in and started blasting loud music. There were some fitting issues he had to work around. All we heard was him loudly banging on the furnace and cursing for hours. His peers had to come several times to try and resolve the issue. The 3rd day they finished up. They had to create a workaround by installing PVC piping. Then I got the bill. It's no surprise I had sticker shock and immediately contacted Penny Aske at via her gmail account, and told her I thought it was half that amount. I explained my confusion was caused by the fact that she listed everything as an option. I was also charged $175 for a filter (I didn't request) that retails for $21. Instead of trying to explain and clear up the confusion, she immediately started threatening me: "If payment has not been paid, we will see each other in small claims soon. If it is over the limit for small claims, I will pursue payment in King County superior court. I do not appreciate your claims against my company, as we did a fine job with what was requested. You will loose as all the paperwork is in order and you have all equipment on site." The end result was, I admitted my confusion was indeed my fault and I should have asked more questions. I requested she remove the filter price, which she did, and I paid the bill. But I would NEVER recommend this company.

They responded immediately.  They have an excellent service and I will use them again.

Will definitely use them again when service is required. Mike(the son) was a pleasure to work with and will request him for any other service needs on the equipment.

It was pretty effortless, . Our furnace is in a crawl space not easy to get to, Mike was able to accuratly assess the problem, diagnose the issue and had the part on his truck. I had some issue later and he came back out, looked things over no charge and got it working again.

This company installed a new furnace in my home five years ago and AC two years ago.  The first thing I was most impressed with was they were always on time from the first interaction with them.  When obtaining the original bids on the furnace the owner was the only service person of the three companies who showed up on time.  In fact, she was waiting for me which is important to me as I work.  All my questions were answered in a timely fashion and one time when I came home from a holiday on a Sunday night and the house was cold and I could not get the heat to come on, I called the emergency number thinking they would call in the morning.  No, within 10 minutes I had a return phone call and within 20 minutes a service person was there.  I think they are an excellent company.

PP&S sent one of their top technicians (Mike) to my house to inspect my furnace after a different heating & air conditioning company had tried to use fear-selling to get me to spend nearly $4,000 for a new furnace I didn't need.  The other company told my wife that the heat exchangers in my current furnace were cracked and possibly could have carbon monoxide leaking into my house.  PP&S's technician inspected my furnace, examining all of the heat exchangers, and even showed them to me so that we could both see that the exchangers were not cracked.  Further, the PP&S technician gave me his carbon monoxide tester to put over my heating vents in the house.  The reading was very, very low.  Any reasonable technician who suspected carbon monoxide would have done that, and if they really felt there was a risk, would have ensured immediate corrective action.  I was happy to pay PP&S for a one-hour inspection to get an honest assessment of my furnace.  I will also note that the technician came out on a day of heavy snow when many people were staying off the roads.
I will also add that the owner (I believe) Penny was exceptionally professional in dealing with me over the phone.  She gave me excellent insight into the process that her technician would perform, and what any costs would be, in advance.

We've had PPS out before, but most impressive to me this time was the incredible responsiveness. As I said, we're in the middle of a snow event, which on our hill makes things very challenging. I called at just before 8AM and they left with everything fixed again by 1PM. The technicians (a primary and an apprentice) were friendly & knowledgable and did a great job answering my questions. I was expecting to be without that furnace for a couple of days, but instead it turned out to be a few hours at most.

The experience was excellent. They were attentive, value priced well and thorough.

PP&S sent out an installer to take a look at my job and give me a bid. He was very thorough and gave me a number of options. He was conscious of the price and my timeline. The installer who came out to do the job (a different person than the one who did my bid because I was on a short timeframe) was prompt and professional. He had been briefed on the plan and did an excellent job. The work was neat, and complete. Everything passed inspection on the first attempt. Pipes look straight, work site was cleaned after installer left. Work was completed on time.

THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROMPT IN RESPONDING TO OUR CALL. THEY SENT OUT A SERVICEMAN IN A TIMELY MANNER. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND ON TIME. HE DID HIS JOB QUICK AND COMPLETELY.

TECHNICIAN, TOM, WAS VERY HELPFUL, TENACIOUS AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER.
