I can?t say enough good things about Issaquah Landscaping. We?ve just had completed our third project with them, over two properties. David and his entire team are very easy to work with, trustworthy, professional, reliable and tidy.
Issaquah Landscaping completed the entire project to a very high quality, and the result is beyond our expectations. Everything is perfect, and we couldn?t be happier with the service and dream garden they created.
I would hire Issaquah Landscaping for our next project in a heart-beat.
While Issaquah Landscaping gave us the highest bid for our backyard project, we don't regret going with this company one minute. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. David Rogers was wonderful to work with. His easy going manner and willingness to listen to everything we wanted was what sold us on this company. He was very professional, always on time for our meetings and accommodated our schedule. The crew were fantastic to work with as well. They were all extremely friendly and professional. Even when it was extremely cold (30's and 40's in February) they were there with a smile and a wave for me and my family in the morning. When I made changes to anything they were courteous and accommodating. The work they did was fantastic. They all really took the effort to make sure things were done right and that everything was exactly to my specifications right down to making sure I was happy with the angle of the lighting that lights up the trees. They went above and beyond what was expected and surprised us with small touches like putting trim around the base of existing deck support legs, drilling a hole through the gate latch and attaching a string so it could be opened from the other side, and even bringing my garbage cans in off the street for me while I was out! The only thing that might possibly be a down side was that due to heavy rains the project ran about two weeks longer than we had hoped but there's not much that can be done about the weather. I highly recommend Issaquah Landscaping and all of my neighbors rave about our beautiful backyard.
The project took about 2 1/2 weeks because of weather delays.
Our backyard lawn is now useable for the first time in years because of better drainage.
David told us that, on the first day, they would arrive at about 9 and that on subsequent days they would arrive at about 7:30 am. They were always punctual. We were impressed by all the trucks and equipment they had. The superintendant on the job, Osmar (sp?), was fantastic. He worked hard himself and supervised a staff of 4 people, all of whom knew what to do and how to do it. We were told that the entire job would take approximately 7 days (not including week-ends and days when they were rained out). I think that is what it took, although it might have been 7 and 1/2 days ( but we added to the scope of the work after it started, by increasing the size of the patio and adding stones along the fence). We have had numerous days of heavy rain since then and the drainage problem has been solved! All the workers paid attention to detail and didn't try to cut corners. At the end of each day, they cleaned off the driveway where they had had the sand or dirt piled.
David has been in the business for many years and his professionalism shows! His son, Tony, was actively involved on the project and is also very knowledgable. They aim to please the customer. Home improvement projects are not always pleasurable, but this one was and the results are wonderful.
His crew was fantastic. All of them personable, professional, and helpful. The only one which I was not thrilled with was the landscape designer whom he recommended, and were I to do a big redesign again at some point in the future, while I would strongly recommend David and crew, I would pick a different designer. Not and F grade for her, but pretty average - probably just a C/C+.
My only complaint with the work was the sourcing of soil from Pacific Topsoil, which turned out to be littered with debris, including broken glass and sharp plastic, but as I've read up since this is a common complaint against Pacific Topsoil, and I don't hold it against David or his team at all. When we had David and crew back out later for some additional work (we added a few more irrigated vegetable boxes), we simply asked that the soil come from Cedar Groves, and the stuff looks good.
After living with the yard for a couple of years, we decided we needed to make a few minor updates, and had David and crew back out again, the work was great. Lest people think that the change was a short coming of the design offered up by David's team, they had actually recommended in the first round that we go with what we ultimately decided to change to a couple years later.
"The work on this project was completed in April 2009, the report is February 2010, almost one year later? Client was very happy on completion, We follow up on any problems that may arise when a client brings it to our attention, I have not heard from her sense. The over all rating surprises me. This was a tight budget small job, we installed a RV gravel parking pad and a concrete driveway, I don't know how much could be wrong, as you can see there is no details in her comment area. David Rogers, owner Issaquah Landscaping Inc."
