The windows was installed in one day. Great crew. Overall quality work. A screen had to be replaced due to a small hole found which was under the manufacture warranty and is in the process of being replaced. (The manufacturer sent the wrong sized one.) One of the window panel did not operate smoothly but was subsequently corrected by the manufacturer representative.

They provided a quick quote without any pressure, and explained how they would take the old windows out without damaging the opening. On top of this, their price was extremely reasonable compared with other providers, and the work was completed very well, and on time. Since the new windows were not as thick as the ones coming out, they needed to add a trim piece. This was done without any extra charge unlike the other providers who had been out to take a look.

Jon's sub, Mark and his crew, did a great job on the removal and the replacement of all the window openings and patio doors. Additionally, the opening where the and quot;sky-windowand quot; was eliminated was expertly framed and drywalled. The entire job was completed within the scheduled timeframe. Workmanship performed on all window and door replacements was superb. The interior framing we requested was perfectly dimensioned and very nicely constructed. We requested these frames be left unstained and unpainted so we could match them to the other window frames in the house. All in all, the entire job went very smoothly and was very nicely done. We are very pleased!

The overall experience was good. The salesman did not pressure us at all and was really good about helping us make decisions. We did ask after the work was done for them to replace one piece of trim and they came immediately to resolve the problem. The installers were really nice and good to work with. They cleaned up after themselves as well.

John came out and measured all of the windows and gave us an estimate. With the price and windows being right the window crew was out and over two days replaced all of the single pane windows including installing a small bay window. Mark and his crew were very courteous, laid down drop cloths to contain any dust and mess. They did the job with professionalism and took great care in cleaning up after themselves. I am very pleased with the job Gearin did and would recommenced them to any one who was looking to replace windows. John and Mark were a pleasure to work with.

We replaced the windows in our house at the same time we did an addition. We had aluminum windows, installed in 1979, that were dated, dingy and failing. We went to a home show in Seattle in November 2007 and stopped at several booths, including Gearin Home Exteriors. Jon was the most friendly and informative person we talked to. A few weeks later I called him to talk more specifically about our project and get an estimate. He came to the house and reviewed our plans and ideas. We talked about fiberglass, vinyl and wood options. I didn't do much over the holidays, but started again in January, doing lots of research and getting multiple bids. Jon's initial bid seemed unreasonably low and I couldn't find anything about his company, so I discounted it as "too good to be true." It was such a big purchase, however, and I wasn't getting a good fit in price or service from other companies I contacted. After a couple more months I called him and explained my uncertainty about his company, and he gave me some background information to check and references to call. I actually visited two recent clients. He then worked with me extensively to finalize my window choices. He was very patient in outlining product differences, window options and costs. He also met me at a house nearby that he was supplying windows to so I could see a variety of installed window products. We finalized my window list and our contract this May, and installation was in July. We ended up choosing Milgard vinyl windows, though I was nervous (unnecessarily) about the look of vinyl. Throughout the process he was very responsive to my many questions and ideas, he was on time when we had actual appointments. When cost became a concern, he had a great suggestion to go with single-hung windows in one area. These were much cheaper than casements and a better option for egress for those bedrooms. I also appreciated that he could cover it all, from supplying windows for the addition to overseeing structural changes in two window walls and full installation of the replacement windows. Other companies charged a high amount for structural work or just wouldn't bid on it. I preferred to get it all done with one company. The final cost was a good value. The installation process was excellent. We had a four man crew for four days, and they worked hard from 8 a.m. to 6 pm or so each day. They were careful with my plants outside and furniture inside, they always "checked in" at the end of the day to let me know what was planned for the next day. I was having a dinner one night during the installation, and they made sure to clean up and clear their tools. They were also genuinely nice people. After the installation Jon both stopped by to review the work and sent a small gift and a card for feedback. This project was a substantial investment in our house, and we are really pleased with Gearin Home Exteriors and with all our new windows.
