Peak Season Aeration

The work was very good, professional. And they responded quickly. Like that!

Our "lawn" was nothing but moss, so after checking Angie's List, I contacted Peak Season to get our lawn ready for summer. Peak first provided the moss control application.  A week later Peak provided the other services.  Peak did a great job and were professional. 

I will be using Peak Season again.

The work was done very well, as was clean up. We are going to start using them regularly.
Our lawn hadn't had this type of work in at least 7 years, so we had them do double the normal aeration. Any time you dethatch a lawn it looks awful for a week or so but after a month our lawn looks better than it has in years. This service was well worth the money.

This really is a good company. Their work schedule is very very crammed and they did their best to stick to their schedule, but they are fighting the weather and so forth. We were impressed with the owner's professionalism and his crews thoroughness. We have already asked that they put us on their schedule for next year. Highly recommend them.

They were on time, very professional and helpful with ideas on care of the lawn. They book up early on their spring special.

The moss control never happened, but they started de-thaching already. The work crew blamed it on the and quot;moss guy.and quot; When I told the crew leader, Taylor, that I requested moss control he said that it was the moss guy's fault and that if we waited for him to come out, his crew would have to come back out. He said that the de-thatching process took away most of the moss anyway. They went ahead and did the job. As Taylor instructed us, we have watered everyday since the service, but our yard looks MUCH WORSE than what we started with. I have to really question whether or not they put seed and fertilizer down.
I specifically requested moss control with Sue, the receptionist. I also requested hauling service for a previous yard project we completed the week before. The website advertised the hauling as $4/bag, but she quoted me $6/bag. She had to check in with her boss to see what price they would honor. At the time of service, Taylor wasn't able to haul away the bags because there wasn't space in his truck. The service was performed on a Friday and he said that he would come by no later than Sunday night to pick it up. By the time Monday rolled around and the bags weren't picked up, I called Sue again to ask when Taylor would come by. She said he'd pick them up by that day or Tuesday - he didn't pick them up until Thursday.
This was the first Angie's List provider I used, and I'm really disappointed. The quality of the job was horrible, and the professionalism was very poor. Unfortunately, we will have to do the seeding and fertilizer ourselves again. I feel like I wasted all that money on a lesson learned.

It went well. They came and performed the work when I was at work.

Our service was very good. They called and set up the appointment very quickly and showed up when they said they would. They took care of everything they said they would take care of. I felt the price was pretty good too.

We had initially set up a date for the service, and they did show up. However, they recommended that we wait until a drier day, as the results wouldn't be satisfactory due to the excessive rain we were experiencing. They called later in the week as promised and rescheduled for a date that had a better weather forecast. The crew of three went about their chores professionally, cheerfully, and thoroughly. I would definitely recommend their services and will myself again in the future.

I would give them an A overall. I would use them in the future.

These guys did a a great job. The services were preformed exactly as I expected and they performed the services within a couple of days of the estimate, no long waiting.
There was a mix up on the size of my lot (their mistake ) and a mix-up on exactly what services I wanted (my fault). However, these guys didn't nickle and dime, they gave me a great deal and just did what I asked. Looking back, I think they ended losing money, but never once did they try to re-negotiate or put extra pressure to just pay more. It is clear this company is the looking to build a long-term business. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They came when they said they would. They did exactly what my husband wanted. They did the work in a timely manner.

We heard about this company from my brother-in-law who received a flyer from them. He had all of their services done in May 2011, lawn aeration, de-thatching, thatch clean-up, over-seed, fertilize and moss control. His yard looked terrific after they were done and end of June it is still looking great. We already did the moss-control and de-thatching/thatch cleanup on our yard before we heard about them, so we just hired them for aeration, over-seed/fertilize. I called them up and setup an appt, and they showed up roughly on time. They did a great job, we are very happy with their service. I liked them as there's just a flat fee for aeration and de-thatching. The thatch clean-up is per 1000 sq ft and per bag haul away, and the overseed/fertilize/moss-control charge is per 1000 sq ft.
