Bernie  came out in January. I purchased a Manufactured home and there was no attic access. I decide to only have 2 inside lights installed because Bernie would have to run conduit outside the wall. He stated that he thought existing lights were there. I told Vickie, his wife, there were no lights. This ended up being a long process. I returned one ceiling fan and another light back to Home Depot and decided to Have 2 outside lights installed and 2 outside plugs. Bernie stated he could pick up those lights for me. I wanted a motion sensor and a dusk till dawn. I took a day off, from work, and Bernie had to finish another job in the morning. He didn?t arrive until 1:00. He spent about 4 hours putting conduit covers, over the exposed wire, and installed 1 motion detector light. I couldn?t keep taking off work so I left him my key to finish installing the 2 outside plugs and the dusk till dawn light. Vickie contacted me about 2 weeks later with an invoice of $1588.00. I was totally SHOCKED, and retorted with an email stating to gather receipts for the 388.00 in material costs and take another look at the charges. He had purchased some conduit covers ,2 outside GFI plugs, a 3 bulb motion light, and a dusk till dawn lamp.  I looked at the 2 outside lights purchased at Lowes or Home Depot. The total price for both was about 130.00 less tax. I called 3 other Electrical contractors in the area. The price for all services would be from $800.00 to $1000.00 dollars. Vickie sent a revised bill for $1496.97 I am very disappointed. Bernie applied an hourly rate of $75.00 an hour. I?m sorry but that is totally insane when the original estimate was $543.50. I should have paid closer attention since they only had 1 review on Angie?s List. However, they were located close to my new home and the estimate seemed fair. I?m mailing the payment but will not recommend them to anyone else.

I'm updating this in response to the providers Response. Weico cancelled appointments as well. Bernie had some type
of medical process, on a weekend, when he was scheduled to start work. The day that I took off work, Bernie finished up another job and didn't show up until after 1:00. As for changing the scope of the work, that's true. I didn't have another ceiling fan light installed or 3 kitchen accent lights. I instead, had 2 outside lights installed along with 2 outdoor GFI outlets. The final bill was $926.47 above what the estimate was. I was very direct with Vickie about the final bill. I stated to re review her invoice. She reduced the price by $91.03. That's highway robbery and is totally ridiculous. Review my Histogram, of providers, for prior Reviews. I give credit where credit is due. However, I also call a Spade a Spade.

Response from Wieco Electric
"I would agree with that the process was long and drawn out with this customer. What he has forgotten is that he canceled his scheduled appointments with us several times, and also wanted us to work around his work schedule which we attempted to do. The scope of the work also changed as he had us do other items than he first talked with us about on the phone. I'm sorry he was not happy with our work. Given the difficulty of working with him and scheduling with him our company would not work for him again. We strive very hard to have satisfied customers given the attitude of this customer I was not at all surprised to find this complaint file against us."

The fan was fixed on the first visit.  The home warranty co said the timer was not covered by the policy.  The electrician assisted me in my appeal and I was successful in having the replacement timer covered.  The warranty co. was not familiar with the code requirement in wa state.

We hired a kitchen contractor who sent Wieco Electric to our home as a sub contractor. Bernie and Martin were very pleasant to work with and during the process asked my preferences several times as they went along. Bernie questioned our lighting choice above the island and had a much better idea of what would look good and preform better than the idea we had. He also suggested that while he was there to add another light and two outlets to our deck area which we never would have thought of but ended up being a great idea. They also installed new track lighting and reinstalled another light in our hall, added a light in our hall closet and another outlet in our hall that wasn't part of the original bid. For all the extras they preformed we were charged and extra $330 which we thought was very reasonable. Overall we were very pleased with their service and would hire them again.
