.Came to our home on the recommendation of several friends. We went ahead with Dave without competitive bids because we were satisfied we had a quality contractor.

This did not go at all well, in fact after more than 2 months of it not being totally completed and not done as specified and agreed upon I wouldn't recommend this company.

We contacted Wayne Dahl construction in August of 2011 to have our guest bath remodeled to accommodate my disabled father who is living with us.  Wayne started the job in Sept. 2011, approx 3 days after the agreed upon start date.  We had bought the shower and parts to install a new shower, but as agreed upon this job was to take no more than 2 weeks for completion.  We needed to have the area for the new shower squared since it was sagging in some areas.  According to him it was not a problem.  Instead of taking 2 weeks it took more like 2 months.  He always had an excuse as to why he wasn't able to make the appointment; he usually left early to look at another job; we had to continually ask when he was going to return (that didn't matter because he showed up whenever he wanted to, usually without notifying us); He didn't clean up his mess, we did it and had to take the old materials to the dump (an additional $22 dump run).  My poor dad went without being able to take a shower in his bathroom for more than 3 weeks, and even then he was having to walk over items left.  We stressed upon Wayne how important it was to get the shower done as the other bathroom had a tub in it and my dad couldn't lift his leg up high enough to get in.  Unless you have a lot of time to wait for the project to be done and not have it completely finished, then this won't matter.  When we finally let Wayne go the end of November it was without the completion of the project.  We will NOT use him again....we've learned our lesson.  I kept all of the emails that were sent back and forth so every time he would insist we didn't ask for certain things to be done I could pull the email, which even had his response.

Very good experience. I received a prompt return phone call to discuss my project (replacement of a double wall oven), the estimated cost and schedule a date for service. Wayne arrived on time and efficiently went about removing the old unit and installing the replacement. He was very careful to protect the floors and walls from damage and used booties as well. All of the packaging from the new unit plus the old wall oven were taken away for proper disposal.
Wayne is also a pleasant conversationalist with many stories but it never interfeared or slowed his work.
This was a simple project but I would not hesitate to call again.
