It turned out that the front part of the house was attached to a deck that wasn't attached to the house and the support posts were just on pier blocks which were moving slowly down hill: the front part of the house was in danger of falling off! As they did the work to rebuild the support system they discovered that the electrical wiring was "iffy", the insulation inadequate and the siding full of dry rot.
Andy Sharp was ready for the change from small project to enormous rebuild. He drew the new plan, working with us to make it functional and beautiful, and with the structural engineer to bring it up to code. His group of sub contractors for excavation, concrete, electrical, spray insulation, plumbing, dry wall, lighting, painting, roofing, windows & doors, gutters & down spouts (who have I forgotten?) were professional and worked in a timely fashion. Andy coordinated the sub contractors, monitored every detail and worked closely with us on the myriad of daily options and decisions.
The outcome is spectacular. Our home is solid and safe and beautiful.
