NORTHWEST DECKS

I hired Northwest Decks to put in a trex deck and a natural wood pergola. They installed the pergola and braces that go on the house incorrectly, allowing water to seep into the house at an alarming rate. When I called them to indicate the problem, although they arrived quickly to tarp the leak, they could do nothing to repair the damage they caused, and th ey directed me to contact Patriot Roofing, who did our roof, to come out and fix their mistakes. Doug Meeks said he would pay for the damage, which he did. However, while Patriot was here fixing NW Decks mistakes, the roofer accidently dropped a hammer from the roof that landed on the deck, damaging one of the boards. I told Patriot that I needed that repaired, which they also agreed to. However, when Doug heard about the mistake that Patriot made, he completed tried to take advantage of that, by charging Patriot nearly 600$ to replace TWO trek boards. Even Trek was disgusted, but they couldn't do anything about it. Never again.

If you want a job well done with a professional hardworking crew that shows up in time, does an excellent job for a fair price and cleans up, than without hesitation I would highly recommend Northwest Decks. My expectations were high and I received exactly what I wanted. I am extremely pleased with the entire job.

Doug, Sherri and their Crew did an outstanding job.

1. Rebuilt our existing lower cedar deck with Trex. Added a few amenities like Trex benches.  Beautiful.

2. Rebuilt our upper-rear-deck to have a Duradek surface.  Beautiful.

3. Replaced the solid wood upper-rear-deck rail with a tempered glass system. Now I can see my whole garden all day long.  Beautiful.

The bottom line:  Doug is a stickler for detail.  Get in their job-queue if you want a quality  job done right, on schedule, and at a reasonable price.

The deterioration in the structure below the porch floor was worse than estimated requiring considerable more time and materials (and 30% added cost). The crew of Adam and Leo did a great job on this 1914 vintage home that required lifting several columns in order to replace the decking. They ended up having to custom build bases for 7 columns and took care in ensuring top fit and quality in the finished job.
Note: work was initially performed starting in Mid July 2012. The return the following year was to close some gaps in the column bases, at no charge.

They did a good job. I like their attention to detail and their craftsman.

I can't imagine a better company for deck replacement. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. Their work was of the highest quality and they were right on with the estimate. The new deck is fantastic.

The deck replacement went great. They showed up on time each day, kept me well informed of the progress and cleaned up each afternoon before leaving. The new deck is beautifully done, on time and very close to the estimated price. This is an impressive company that's wonderful to work with.
