It went well until they painted the room after repairs. The painting looked bad and when I met with the owner to go through checklist, I sent him with a good-faith payment even though he didn't ask for it. He then sent my check back along with a letter saying they were not going to finish the job. This is the SECOND time I hired this company, and both times they left without finishing the project!

After receiving bids from several other companies before having KHS recommended to me, I could not be happier with my decision to hire this team. They were professional and treated me with the utmost respect throughout the entire process, offering recommendations that both satisfied my goals for the project while keeping me reasonably within my stated budget. They promptly and happily responded to questions and concerns throughout the process, did impeccable work, and they arrived to the job site promptly everyday, making me feel as though I was their only customer and the highest priority. From my first meeting with Pat through the completion of the project, the crew (particularly Randy and Jason) were a pleasure to have around. I felt comfortable allowing them into my home, which they always left in perfect condition at the end of each day. I could not recommend KHS more!

The work was superb in all respects. We have done major home renovations before (as owners, not as a crafts people) and my husband, a quite demanding professional, has hired and fired contractors across all trades. Pat's work was flawless, on time, and slightly below the estimated price. While not the cheapest estimated price, his crews did each job precisely right the first time, ensuring no cost overruns, nor surprises. Pat's obvious expertise convinced us on many points and proved right every single time. We independently compared prices and, again, he was proven right every time. This was a long term rental home we had previously lived in and hated to see how it had been ruined over time. With Pat and other great contractors, we made the home a wonderful family home again for a future buyer. We enjoyed working with all the people involved and appreciated their professionalism. We plan to find our ultimate retirement home back on the water on Puget Sound and Pat is our first choice for what will likely be a much larger renovation of that future home.

Chris responded immediately on a Saturday, and came back Monday to begin the project.  Everything went well.  Project ended up costing more than we anticipated.  His cement contractor was unable to schedule us to repair the walkway that had to be torn up, so we will have to wait until weather is drier to finish this.  They did put gravel down so we have something to walk on until Spring.

There were just a couple of issues and they did fix them.

great...excellent & proactive communication.  i don't think they are the cheapest but  they know what they are doing, friendly workers, seems like the job is done right the first time, etc.  would use them again.

For us, this was the largest remodeling job we have attempted at one time and we were concerned about getting a finished product commensurate with the cost; within the time frame promised; and within budget. In short, they did a terrific job! First of all, we researched Kelley Home Services through friends who had used them and viewed the finished work. It was impressive. Most important was the conviction our friends had that they would do good work for us and they were completely trustworthy. Plus our friends continue to use their services for other projects big and small. We had picked out some of the tile and fixtures, and had the general plans in place before we met with Pat Kelley. Then during the job, we changed our minds often, added and deleted projects, and therefore were in contact with Pat about 3 times a week. The completed job was similar to the original plans, but with Pat's guidance, it was much nicer. The original bid was for a renovation that we would have liked. The result was a renovation that we love! And it STILL was within budget! So Kelley Home Services did a fantastic renovation commensurate with the cost and stayed within budget. They also promised a completed job in 5 weeks when other contractors said 8 weeks; and delivered! Unreal! I strongly recommend Kelley Home Services to anyone looking to do any size job. They have the people that can do the work, and they stay with it until you are happy. I trust Pat and his people and will use them again. At least talk to them about your needs. Everyone I know that has used them are very satisfied too.

Pat Kelley came out promptly to give us a bid, and was very approachable and knowledgeable. He didn't try to cut corners, nor did he try to convince us to reside the entire house like some of the other contractors did. Due to a large section of dry rot, they had to essentially remove our entire garage wall. They then put up new framework, Hardi plank lap siding, trim, fascia, insulation and dry wall. They finished in less than two days and cleaned up at the end of each day. They did a fantastic job. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Pat Kelley, his crew and contractors were fantastic to work with. The bid was clear, and Pat worked with us to clarify just what we were hoping for in the updating of this 42 year old home. He made suggestions that helped keep costs down, yet still use quality materials. The crew was fun to work with, and they were willing to lend a hand whenever needed as we worked on the property. They were respectful of us, and never seemed to mind our coming into the house and interrupting them with questions. They finished on time, in spite of our adding a couple extra changes. We were so pleased that we have asked them to do the next phase of needed work.

They did what they were asked to do quickly and efficiently with a minimum of impact. The communicated well, adapting to our needs for e-mail, text etc.. The majority of the repairs were done while we were traveling.

A one-piece toilet flapper valve was leaking. Joe arrived, examined the situation, and left to get parts. Upon his return, he replaced all the parts in the tank, and the toilet is better than new.

I noticed mold growing on a wall in my house and left a message with Kelley Home services based on a review on Angie's List as well as a reference from another person. Pat gave me a return call the next day and sent Joel out to check out the wall the day after that. Joel cut open the wall and surveyed water damage to surrounding framing/studs. he was very thorough in his assessment and initially gave me a worst case quote of up to $2000 for the repair. After taking some pictures and calling his boss (Pat) he said the repair would probably run between $1000 - $1500. He wanted to take off the siding outside the wall to check the extent of damage thoroughly. We scheduled an 8:30 time for him to come out to make the repair. Joel and another guy showed up around 8:45 and they went right to work. They removed the siding outside the wall, cut out the affected baseplate and cleaned up the water damaged area. They replaced the affected pipe, which was connected to an outside faucet. In tapping around some nearby siding, Joel noticed some frass falling and there were some moisture ants around the affected area, so he pointed that out to me and with my permission removed some more siding to assess if there was an insect problem or additional damage. He noticed a little bit of water damage on the edge of one of the beams going back behind my porch so Joel crawled under the porch to assess and take more pictures. As it turned out, the water damage was very limited and able to be taken care of with some type of "copper green" solution. Joel explained what he found and showed me pictures along the way. he was very good at making sure I knew exactly what was going on and what they found and what needed to be done. They fixed the water damage, and replaced the baseplate and another part of a beam with treated wood then closed up the area and replaced and repainted the affected siding. Going back, I could not tell the siding had ever been removed. Joel repaired the drywall and came back another day to texture it. When Joel could not get the texture to match exactly, he agreed to come out another day with a heavier machine to redo the texturing and he did not charge me for the time that day. He returned with the other guy and they textured the wall so it exactly matched the rest of the wall and then primed it so I can do the painting myself. There is no visible difference between the repaired and original parts of the wall. Upon receiving my bill, there was a 2 hour difference between what I had listed for hours and the hours I was billed for. When I pointed this out to Pat, he double checked the hours logged and made the correction. They were all very thorough and very honest. The quality of their work was fantastic. I highly recommend them.

If your looking for services and you don't know who to call, this Kelly's Services is like a contractor-type of thing, and I was able to get a person that would fit my needs at the time. I chose them because they are Christian-based and I know being a Christian isn't a guarantee, but it's a leg up for sure. I believe they are honest and have integrity and the people they recommend are the same to some degree.
