It was outstanding. The workers were great.

they were superb, ahead of schedule and on budget. The final outcome of the pond and the water fall blew us away. It was really clean.

The patio was excellent but the sidewalk less excellent. What I didn't liked about the sidewalk was that the stone wasn't firm or it wasn't built firmly. Everything else was very good.

Fantastic! Somehow they squeezed us into their busy schedule (end of June), gave us an excellent bid, did perfect work, showed up on time, wasted no time, worked hard, were quiet, completed the job slightly ahead of schedule. The owners are delightful to work with and responsive. The lot is big and to do everything we wanted in the back went over our budget. Ricky (co-owner) helped us with a solution that resulted in exactly what we wanted. I had noticed that there was a tiny pile of grass left in one spot. A while later I got a text from Ricky saying they left it there to protect a litter of baby bunnies in their nest. Exactly as we would have done! First class in every area. In less than a week from my call, the job is completely done.

I have used ERIN ROCKERY many times due to the sheer convenience and proximately  to my home.  I have compared prices and know that ERIN ROCKERY is approximately 1/3 higher than anyone else within 50 miles, ie price wise Purdy Topsoil and Morrison Gravel have the same products at 1/3 less than ERIN ROCKERY.  I've heard many people that have used them refer to them as ERIN ROBBERY in reference to the higher prices.  I simple accepted the higher prices as a cost for the convenience.  However, recently they did something unspeakable.  
      As I had done countless times before in the past 14 months, I was picking up some rocks for my landscape wall I was building.  The rocks were 1 man and 2 man size rocks which are much easier loaded by a machine rather than by hand.  After my rocks were loaded, I realized I had forgotten to get my truck weighed empty, prior to loading.  Well, I had been there so much over the years, the young man who loaded my truck on that day as well as many other days stated, he knew me well enough and trusted me to come back and get  my truck weighed empty and then pay. 
     At home while unloading my truck, I noticed and big dent on my trucks cab, above the rear window and that the glass was cracked as well.  When I returned to ERIN ROCKERY to pay for my rock I requested a on duty manager please take a look at my truck to see the damage that had occurred during loading.  Please note the dent was still dusty from where the rock had hit it and the rest of the truck was clean.  The area where the dent is and the glass is cracked is above the trucks bed, where only a machine load rock from above could have caused this damage.  Well when I requested someone(manager) please take a look at my truck, everyone in the store quickly stated "Richard is not going to fix your truck, you can forget it"  And I asked "Who's Richard?" and they replied "The owner, he's a jerk about these issues, you can forget it, he'll never fix it"  I mean all of the employees present stated the same thing.   And they also added this has happened before and he refuses to help the customer out. concerning damaged vehicles.  He's going to tell you that's what you have insurance for, to fix your own truck.   
    As I stood there, shocked at the treatment I was receiving however, still waiting to pay for my rock that I had returned to pay for from 20 minutes ago, the on duty manager says to me.  "You can stand there all day if you want but that's not going to make any difference, Richard still won't fix your truck's damage"  to which I stated  "I'm still standing here because I need to pay you for my rock that was loaded when my truck was damaged",  so I paid my $194.00 and departed quite amazed at the treatment I had just received.   As I had previously stated I've purchased this very same rock approximately 10-15 times before and they knew me as a repeat customer.  Not that being a repeat customer should even matter however, it makes the treatment I received even worse.  
     Well I attempted to reach ERIN ROCKERY's owner, Richard O"Niel the next day by telephone and the employees were right.  Mr. Richard O'neill would not return my calls, then when I finally did reach him on the telephone he refused to even listen to the possibility that the damaged occurred during the loading process.  He also refused to even look at the truck when I suggested I'd bring it there for him to at least see the damage for himself.   Instead he said to me following which still shocks me a little bit.  "It didn't happen"  So I asked him "What he meant by. it didn't happen"  He stated "You can't prove it so, it just didn't happen and that's just what I'm going to stick to...You can't prove it, so it did not happen"  He also called me a "Scam Artist" and claimed I probably go from store to store making false claims to get things for free, simply AMAZING.......... I am so surprised someone would sell their reputation for a few hundred dollars.  I had left my name and telephone number with the on duty manager to have Richard O'neal call me on the Monday following the day the damage occurred, so he knew my name.  After he refused to even look at my truck, I let Richard O'neal know I had spent quite a bit of money at his store (Aprox $5000 over 6 years) he stated to me "I only count $874.00".  So he was basing whether or not he'd do the right thing on how much I had spent there, and additionally his numbers are all wrong.  And he proceeded to tell me I had made up the dollar amount that I had spent there.       
         The funny thing is I only wanted the window fixed the body was something I was willing to accept.  Window estimates came in at $200.   I AM SERIOUSLY AMAZED THAT HE CAN STAY IN BUSINESS WITH THIS TYPE OF LACK OF CONSIDERATION FOR THE CUSTOMER.   It was like he enjoyed and relished being a JERK, at least his employees have him figured out. 
     FYI: I also have third party accounts of these facts if needed.  And I am debating the idea to protest in front of the store it was  that insulting.

At close to the requested delivery time, a large truck arrived, carrying 10 cubic yards of gravel. I was nervous what I had got myself into when I saw the amount of gravel I had ordered, but the driver did a good job spreading out the gravel by making 2 passes, effectively doing 90% of the work of spreading the gravel out.
