WESCOTT FLOOR COVERING INC

They put seams in the material which was to have been virtually SEAMLESS! Over time water seeped through the seams, rusted the drains and water got into our living area. We contacted Jim Wescott several times, over several weeks, before he finally came to the house. He saw the damage, admitted it was a faulty installation and told us he would fix everything & repair all of the damages. We followed up with several more calls. Repeated follow up calls to Wescott Floor Coverings & our inquiries were unanswered or met with varied but unsatisfactory results: ? Wescott staff promised prompt action to mitigate damages with caulk until repairs would be done, ? then stating that Lonseal was on order, and ? then finally Wescott Floor Coverings called saying we were on our own to file a claim with our homeowner?s insurance. Homeowner's Insurancee does not cover defective installations. We had to pay for the entire replacement of the deck and the Lonseal at considerable expense, because of demolition, subflooring repair, new Lonseal materials, siding replacement, and painting. We requested full payment for our out of pocket costs in the amount of $5,666.65. Wescott Floor Coverings did not reply. They also refused our insurance company's claim.
