I reviewed Roland and his crew some years ago. I don't change the review. He stuck close to his estimates, was a bit slow at times since he was juggling two major jobs at that time. Even so, work was completed with minimal disruption to the household. The work itself was quite professional even though interior painting is not Roland's strong suit. If anyone uses him for painting, I would suggest selecting the paint rather than having him quote with paint included. His choice of paint for the woodwork has not stood the test of time.. it flaked off in some places and had to be redone. The ceiling was textured and Roland did a nice job matching it almost seamlessly to the undamaged portion of our ceiling. He duplicated the texture nicely. The only issue was that he used drywall that was 1/16 to 1/8" thicker than original. If the light is just right and one is looking for it, one can see where the new portion of ceiling was installed.

The work was great. The front porch is well constructed, was done to our design wishes, uses good materials, and looks great. For the second project, they completed the drywall work that we had started, and did a great job. I should have had them do the whole thing.

We have used this company for several jobs including exterior painting and deck refinishing. All with great satisfaction. At the time we engaged them, Roland was very busy with a major remodeling. Accordingly, he was a bit slow in responding and completing the job. Nevertheless, he worked diligently to finish our job and completed it in a satisfactory timeframe. Considering the scope of the work, they completed it with acceptible disruption to our daily routine. They took great care to protect furnishings and carpet by covering everything with plastic. There were only a couple of minor drips that escaped their vigilence. Wall and ceiling painting was of good quality. They applied second coats to give an even appearance where needed without prompting. We can't say the same for doors. There are two doors out of 9 that have very uneven coverage and where the old paint is showing through after one year. The ceiling repair was particulary impressive. They did a very nice job matching the color and texture. Texturing required use of a machine that potentially put mist in the air. They protected the rest of the house from the mist by creating a "tent" around the spray area. Midway through, we changed our mind on colors. Roland was very accomodating and made the adjustment with minimal additional charge. If it weren't for the poorly covered doors and the drips, we would give them an "A" for quality. They work very reasonably. In some cases 50% cheaper than bids received from other companies.

Roland was only contractor willing to work us into his busy schedule. He had done some other work prior so we were anxious to get him if at all possible.

Roland and crew replaced exterior chimney chase to ready the house for exterior paint for later this summer. Replaced with a hardier material than existing T-11. Looks great!

I contacted Roland Pomerantz and he agreed to come over after another job he was doing around 6pm one evening. He was prompt, polite and listened closely to what we wanted. He and his crew are very busy, but agreed to fit us in if we were willing in the evenings and on weekends. We are very pleased with the new decks and thrilled that we were able to hire Roland and crew. Roland and crew worked hard and cleaned up when they were done. Roland was also very patient with the many questions that we had.

They took a while to get the work done, but overall very satisfied. We would have like to have them out again to put on a clear coat, to protect from the elements.
